Fritura Dominicana Staten Island Reviews
Amazing authentic Dominican food! The flavors are rich and remind me of home-cooked meals. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Service was friendly, though it can get a bit busy during peak hours. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back for the mangu and pernil!
Ever since I moved to the Island, good take out food is hard to find. But this place here, their food was delicious!!! I got chicken with arroz con gandules y frijoles rojos. My children loved it, it's a new place for me to come to. For less than 20$ it's worth it.
Best Dominican spot on the island by far. The selections are endless. The only 2 gripes I have is parking can be a disaster during busy hours and they only take cash . No debit No credit but they do have an ATM inside.
The place definitely isn't fancy, but it is very clean and well-lit. All the servers act like aunties, the food is delicious and the portions are generous.
Excellent food & the service was fantastic, very friendly atmosphere
Great place and food, wish I saw the family combo before I ordered 3 smalls and a medium lol but the ladies there are lovely
Been coming here for many years, beautiful atmosphere and the best quality of people, very clean!!! Great tasting food. Mr. Medina.
I do like the food-always fresh, always tasty chicken, and good ladies serving you. If you hungry-deff stop by, you will not be disappointed thats a fact, definitely will find a platter to your liking and Im picky about my food, but this joint is straight up banging 🍲 🔥
Nice place. The food was delicious and authentic. I had the pigs feet stew over rice two nights in a row. They also have a lot of other dishes to choose from. You stand in line and pick out what you want and they fix the plate for you. Kind of buffet style. You can see the food that you want and get the cuts you want. Very special place. Update I'm back in town. I stopped by this place first before I went to my hotel... The best!!!!
Bought rice and beans with pernil. Their pernil is very flavorful and I like the skin piece too. They weigh the meat for portion control, and l they give you a good amount of rice and beans which are very tasty, which I feel I can just eat a whole container of it. Just sad that I didn't see chicharrones, my favorite 😢. Looked at menu, they only have sancocho on Saturdays. Need to come try it one day.
Good, tasty Dominican food. Tried their rice, beans and barbeque chicken. Chicken was awesome!
Great amount of choices love the rice they serve. great service, the people are nice. Prices are good too not that expensive
My fiance picked up some food for us and it was absolutely wonderful. He had the pig feet stew over rice and I had the pork and rice. The pork was tender and seasoned so well. The rice and peas were delicious. This was my first visit to NY and I will definitely be back next time.
Some of the new staff are very unpleasant and maybe even racist! Especially the young woman who's usually wearing shorts. I don't speak Spanish. I live nearby and I used to take out from there at least once a week but now I go much less often because of customer service
They don't clean the places
If I could give them zero stars, I would. This place has gone down hill to new lows. The chicken soup is basically water and very little chicken. What a disappointment and a waste of my money. PLEASE NOTE- THE OWNER ACTUALLY GETS MY REVIEW CHANGED AND THAT IS UNETHICAL. THAT SHOULD BE STOPPED ✋️
Food is good. My family and I like to get food here. However, experience with the staff is often unpleasant.
Went there recently for food when it first opened for my group home. The pork was so dry it was very hard to chew or eat we threw it away. There was no juice in the pans of pork you would think it just opened for the day the food would be on point. The customer service was terrible. They might want to get at least one person that understands English. Rice was bland and beans as well. I been coming here for so time and not sure if the cooks changed. But that trip was my last. The one in new Brighton is way better and cheaper.
