Mazcal's Mexican Restaurant Staten Island Reviews
Best tex mex on the island, maybe NY. I still drive from NJ just to get the salinas
I can't say enough about this place... food was amazing and the portions were generous. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was a great one!!!
This place never disappoints! I have come here with coworkers and friends many times. The food and service is always amazing. Marisol the waitress is always very friendly and attentive. Will continue to recommend this spot!
I had lunch here with my wife one day. I had an appointment with th doctor next door, and the food smelled so good that I had to try it. I had the enchiladas with rice and beans. Needless to say, I am a regular now!
Best authentic Mexican on Staten Island. Very affordable, great portion sizes, excellent service and most importantly- the food is absolutely delicious. You can taste the individual ingredients and it’s evident everything is home made. See photo for my favorite dish-the mole enchiladas- and a cheese quesadilla. Also of note- I am gluten free and this menu is extremely GF friendly as most items are made using a corn tortilla (or you can swap for it). They are extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions.
This restaurateur is so nice. I love the decoration, the atmosphere is so Mexican, the music, the posters, the chairs, the tables, everything. They have parking which is a plus. If you want to go out with your family and is over new places this a great place. It is 1.30 hours from NYC. The food is really good for a very razonable prices.
Dayana really makes THE BEST drinks I’ve ever had! I am absolutely obsessed with the coconut margarita! She did such an amazing job with our margs. The food is good always consistent with flavor/quality they make great shrimp quesadillas/tacos I recommend those their chipotle mayo sauce soo delish
Loved this place. The rice and beans were perfection. I got the tri-color chicken enchiladas and the mango sangria and everything was delicious and portions were generous. The chips and salsa were also excellent. I've been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant to replace my old favorite that went out of business and I think this is it! I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu! Service was great too, and it's cute and cozy with a nice looking outside seating area for the warmer weather.
Really enjoyed the meal here! The food was flavorful and the service was attentive throughout the night. It’s a solid spot for a great dinner, though the atmosphere felt a little basic compared to the quality of the kitchen. Definitely worth a visit for the menu alone!
Super cute and quaint Mexican restaurant, they have a bonus garden out front where they have a beautiful colocasia plant that I spotted and fell in love with instantly 🤩 But back to the focal purpose of this review. The esthetics are pretty cool and rustic. Wait staff was super attentive, wasn’t crowded on an early Friday afternoon. We ordered a shrimp & chicken sizzling fajita platter, came with rice and beans on the side. The rice undercooked but they quickly replaced it with fully cooked rice immediately. My pina colada was made fresh and the portion size was appropriate, and very tasty. Dessert was the best part, my roasted bananas with ice cream was DE-LISH!! The churros were also freshly made and melted in your mouth. Decent lunch experience.
