Basil's Spirit's & Sandwiches Stockton Reviews
I've been coming to this local waterhole for 20+ years. Great place to chill with friends & watch games. I had French Dip sandwich during lunch hour. It was pretty good.
Great food and the friendliest staff you could imagine, they have been here 40 years. Tesla Supercharger 2 min walk away.
Super friendly staff and great burgers! Wide variety of drinks and a passionate fan base for the SF 49ers. Stop in and take in the hospitality.
My brother in law invited us here. We were visiting from AZ. And I have to say hands down this was the best time I had during my trip. Great service and atmosphere was very chill. Great music too.

Friendly and welcoming spot.
Was seeking someplace open on Christmas to take a customer. The place was packed, and bartender Richard was great!...excited, engaging, yet chill, easygoing! Will be back.
Went here the other evening to celebrate a friends birthday. Bartender was super kind and helpful with recommendations. Ordered french fries and chicken tacos that were solid for food. Good mix of beer options. Had both indoor and outdoor seating spots and dart boards.
The server name was Richard. He was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He gave us excellent service.
The food was pretty salty, no micro brews on tap, looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80s, smells old, dimly lit except for the neon on the dartboards, no social media moments…. fantastic. 10/10, last of a dying breed keep doing your thing
The vibes are immaculate on any given night, and the Basil Burger is legitimately one of the best burgers in the Central Valley. If you’re spending time in Stockton, make sure you stop in at Basil’s for at least a drink!
It was my first time stopping here while en route to Sacramento for the holiday. I had to do a second pass to identify a parking spot, the front of the business's street parking is awkward due to the curve in the road. There is w nice view of a fountain, two electronic dart boards, a juke box, many televisions for sports, and a lotto ticket machine. The outdoor seating is completely covered.
Amazing local spot! Good wings and mozz sticks! Great active bartender! 🤙🏼 Definitely will be back
Great little place for a dinner and a cold one! Great wait staff every evening that I visited this week. Food was excellent, I recommend the BLT and Burger ! Love the 80’s music they played!

What a great place! We stopped in to watch the football game as we traveled thru town. Hidden gem! Friendly owners, great breakfast, and overall a great experience. Highly recommend!!

Ok. First time there just before lunch crowd. One person serving bar and tables. A bit hectic for her. Food ok. No booths or regular tables, all high tables and high back chairs. Had looked up on- line menu. Different prices. Asked server and told had NO IDEA who had done that on Yelp because they don't have a website. So don't know what to think about that. Liked food. Seems to have a fair few 'regulars'.

This spot is definitely a hit at night and popular with out-of-towners thanks to its close proximity to the Hilton and other nearby hotels. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the very subpar food. The lunch menu is limited and mediocre our group had a tough time picking because there just weren't many appealing options. We started with appetizers: chicken wings and onion rings. The wings were EXTREMELY salty, and the onion rings were Burger King-level at best edible, but nothing to brag about. For my meal, I ordered the chicken Philly with mayo. No one likes a dry sandwich, but that's exactly what I got. The chicken was overcooked, making the sandwich almost inedible. The fries were even worse undercooked, unseasoned, and half-frozen in the middle. Adding salt after the fact didn't help. Overall, 8/10 would NOT recommend for the food.

Well let’s see here. Had the french dip and it was totally tasteless. No seasoning on the meat or the dipping sauce. Was horrible. The bartenders are ok but always seem rushed or overwhelmed all the time. The seats are older than I am and super hard & uncomfortable. Also no pool table. Good location tho but definitely dont hang out after 9:00ish the crowd changes
If you’re going for the crowd it’s usually pretty chill until about 9 o’clock. Definitely do not go there for the food it has no taste and it’s not good at all. The bartenders are usually pretty nice and attentive. Worst french dip EVER.
The good: they are open until midnight on a Monday night. The bad: the play horrible auto-tuned music on the sound system. Not worth sticking around for a beer. Good excuse to turn in early.

Food is not good had French dip it had cold flavorless chunks of some sort of beef on it not shaved beef and au jus was cold with white chunks of fat floating in it. the chili upset my stomach. best thing about the meal was the plain potato chips served on the side very disappointed
Waited a long time for service. I let her know we waited long and she gave an attitude and said the had 45 other people to attend. Asked for a second drink and took forever. Once received it was not what we asked for . Very disappointed. But we can see her cheat chatting with other people
