Carla's Cafe Studio City Reviews
Where do I begin … Carla’s salads and sandwiches are simply the best in town. The ingredients are always fresh, the proportions are always consistent, and the taste always leaves me wanting more. The classic chopped salad is what I tend to order but my family loves the Rift with artichoke hearts ! You cannot go wrong with anything here … Tuna toast is also a new favorite ! The service is prompt and the space is welcoming. Great delivery and TAKEOUT too (Postmates or Uber eats)….
Great food, and I loved the service. They were super friendly and helpful without trying too hard. It was a great experience. The KBBQ breakfast burrito was very unique. I was worried it would be over the top kimchi flavor, but it was nice. The French toast sticks were insane, and the coffee was good too. Music was nice and chill, and at the perfect volume. We’ll be back for sure if we’re in the area.
Not to be dramatic but I think the Tuna Chop sandwich on ciabatta changed my life. The flavors meld so perfectly! The vinegar, pickled jalapeños, and pepperoncini are the perfect additions to a tuna salad, the crunch of the ciabatta is out of this world!!! It was about $24 out the door with tax and tip which seems high until I had my first bite and it became worth every penny. I will dream of it until I have it again! The staff was lovely and helpful with recommendations, try a side of their Peruvian hot sauce as well! So fresh with great flavor!
Great spot for coffee and a sando. Actually the Best sandwich I’ve had in LA so far! The Tuna chop was delicious with it’s great mixtures of flavors and textures, get it in the OG Ciabatta! The crust was perfectly thin and crunchy with an airy fluffy dough immaculatley complimenting the sando. Ingredients were fresh and lip smacking tasty with the pepperoncini giving it a nice spicy punch to bring it all together. The service was solid and welcoming. the only thing I found a bit lacking was the atmosphere which was kind of bland and didn’t match the vibe and quality of food and coffee, witch was solid. We also had the French toast sticks and they were a yummy treat to finish up the meal. DO NOT skip this sando if your into any kind of tuna between a couple slices of bread. Shout out to @ricklox on IG for the recc! LOX level 10.10
This place is going to blow up. The Korean BBQ burrito was delicious and well balanced. The French toast sticks are S Tier. Best breakfast lunch spot we’ve been to in a while.
I saw the cute sandwich logo and decided to come here for lunch, and I’m so glad we did! Love the Carla cream top espresso and the garlic aioli chicken sandwich is soooo good, and the ciabatta bread was so perfect. I just wish it wasn’t freezing cold in there, other than that, I loved it!
We got the cappuccino, matcha, tuna salad, and the rancheros. Everything was a 10/10. HIGHLY recommend the rancheros, they’re unreal. Seriously best Rancheros I’ve ever had. Will be back ASAP.

So thrilled they finally opened this flagship location! I’ve loved their garlic aioli chicken sandwich for years as a takeout option, but I’m happy to report it tastes even better in-store. The whole vibe of the place is so welcoming and has that signature Carla charm. Can’t wait to see more locations pop up in LA! In the meantime, we’re lucky to have them in the neighborhood.
I go to Carla all the time (low key addicted) and I truly am baffled by some of the reviews — the food is absolutely amazing, so consistently excellent, the matcha is the best in LA (in my humble opinion) and the staff are delightful.
I arrived here purely because I was on new medication that required food. The only vegan option was the Avocado Toast so I ordered that and a Latte to help wake me up. I wasn’t expecting much, but this was the tastiest snack - so much so that I’m still sitting here finishing my coffee while I write this. So fresh, creamy and brimming with garlic, it was delicious. The Latte was also impressive which is hard to find in LA. I highly recommend and will absolutely be coming back.
Please change your name to Carlo cafe. My girlfriend keeps asking "who is Carla?" And won't let me eat or drink here anymore I really like the matcha cream latte and the chicken sandwich
Carla cafe is without a doubt, one of the best sandwich spots in LA. On top of that, they have a killer selection of matcha drinks, iced lattes, pastries and breakfast bites. If you loved your childhood French toast sticks but crave something a bit more elevated - this is the spot, plus the dipping sauce is perfection. All of their sandwiches are delicious, but try to go to their burger nights (announced on IG)
This place should have a higher rating. My matcha was great and the breakfast burrito was so good! And they were nice!
Sandwiches are incredible. Both the pesto and garlic aioli. Chicken was perfectly tender. Bread was incredible, and sandwich was saucy! The salad was extremely fresh too. Looooooveeee this place!
I’m a huge fan of Carla Café, a true supporter from the start! Every time I’m in LA, my first stop is always here. The atmosphere is amazing, and the food never disappoints. We recently came for dinner on a Thursday and had a small delay with our reservation — we booked for 8 p.m. but weren’t seated until around 9 p.m. However, the owner, Avi, was incredibly kind and accommodating. He offered us chicken burgers while we waited (which were honestly some of the best I’ve had!). It might have been my fault for not confirming the reservation properly, but overall, everything was great. The experience just reminded me why I always come back. Can’t wait to visit Carla Café again when I’m back in LA!
carla cafe is my absolute favorite cafe (alongside oui melrose) - the korean beef burrito is just so freaking delicious and their breakfast burrito is what got me even eating bfast burritos in the first place (usually don’t like it).. their sauces are so good as well and i like when cafes pay extra attention to their sauces!!! their open faced tuna sandwich bites are also so good with the little bit of charred cheese on top which adds a nice flavor :) ive ordered carla cafe at least 2x a week over the last year and im still in love! have to make it in for burger night…

Clean and modern. The best to come back is the tuna salad sandwich on ciabatta. Outofsight, no kidding. Second trip for brunch: the toasted tortilla breakfast is a solid way to shake off what you did the night before. Eggs, soft and moist. Chorizo (turkey), was a good option Avocado, silky/firm. Say no more. Good and hot, not huge yet filling, get one in your belly as sustainabowl would say (if you know you fing know)

The garlic aioli chicken used to be one of the best sandwiches ever. I tried the new location a couple of times since it’s opened and unfortunately, it would appear that this no longer holds true. The photo below shows a rather sad rendition of the sandwich vs. the voluptuous fully loaded versions portrayed on their social media page. Truly sad as I was very much looking forward to this new location.

Weird vibes in there today. 1st time. Felt confused by experience. It’s a spot I would not want to go and hang / work. Feels more like a to go atmosphere, with potential to be cute. Got avocado toast. It was fine. Super garlicky and lemon …Interesting focaccia bread twist. Very tiny. It is considered a snack though, but it’s $10 which for the size , I thought was over priced / but this is LA and inflation I guess. Server/ cashier was very nice and brought it to me / which isn’t the norm, but I wouldn’t have known what is normal or not bc I was instructed once I ordered. I don’t know if I would go back. We will see. I think the best thing about this place is the cute logo lol

You pay 5-6$ for a sip coffee lol. Not good, and it’s not 10-20$
