Sonora Taqueria Sunnyvale Reviews
By far the best Mexican spot/taco truck in the Bay Area. The meat is so tender and juicy and all the food has so much flavor. My favorite place for Mexican food hands down! The burrito is out of this world delicious!!
Really amazing birria tacos. Would definitely recommend. The consume has a strong smokey flavor that's amazing and had a deep complex taste. The portion size is good. 3 tacos should be sufficient for a decent meal.
This place is quick and delicious. Their birria is def #1 for me followed up by their horchata. The carne asada tacos are good as well. I do not recommend the enchiladas though, they are more like tacos and are very dry. But there is always seating with shade.
Top tacos for a decent price. Decent prices good amount of food. Truck is parked in a gas station. There are outdoor tables you can dine in.
Food was great!! Good portions, good flavor, quick service. Located in the 7/11 parking lot there are 4 tables under umbrellas for eating. We ate close to 2 and they were still busy, as was the gas station and adjoined car shop so parking was a little hard.
One of the best Mexican Food Trucks in Sunnyvale. They are know for their lip-smacking Birria Tacos. I tried the three meat Tacos. It was really refreshing and the meat was juicy. I would recommend to check this place out as its quite budget friendly.
My friends get supreme burritos every time and love them - it's a LOT of food. I was not impressed by the quesadilla but it wasn't bad. Now that I've tried a few things on the menu, I've decided that I like the al pastor tacos the best, they are excellent.
Tortas was phenomenal! I got Al pastor tortas and it was juicy and super delicious. Don't forget to give good tips. They deserve more
The tacos are delish. That’s what you’re asking right? It’s good. Almost reminds me of being in TJ, and that, to me, is the ultimate compliment. Staff were friendly and full of smiles. Place was modern and clean. Prices reasonable. Overall experience was simply satisfying.
Taco truck in a 76 gas station. Got the quesabirria tacos and an al pastor taco. The star of the plate was the quesabirria taco. The al pastor is good but something I’m ok with not getting a second time. The quesabirria taco plate comes with 3 tacos and consume. Meets soft and plenty of cheese for a cheese pull. The consume just reinforces the flavor your getting from the birria and was 💣. I still other favorites for quesabirria but definitely a good spot to try!
Absolutely amazing burrito. I had the super burrito with carne asada and it was fantastic. The combination of flavors and textures were spot on. I look forward to trying other items on the menu in the near future. Service was friendly and fast.
Fantastic! Finally tried this place while getting my oil changed and the food was absolutely incredible! The Quesabirria tacos are so full of flavor and served up so tastefully with the perfect garnishes on the plate that just complete this dish while setting a pretty high standard for your “local taco truck” , very friendly, very clean, and nice shade to enjoy while you eat!! 6stars!!
Had the quesabirria which everyone was ordering. Right choice! You can add avocado for $1. Delicious food served fast at a humble location. It seems like a locals spot but it's a worthy destination for out-of-towners.

beef head (cabeza) tacos are super tender and delicious, $3.25 Quesabirria $4 extremely delicious and crunchy Lengua taco $4 was good but didn’t wow me as much as cabeza 100% recommend!!!!
$5 tacos are delicious with good toppings and meat. Quesobirria are also $5 each get those as well if you like cheese. Both salsas were excellent. Agua Fresca is massively sized. There's outdoor seating to the side but it can get quite cold. I would come again
This was the first taco truck we visited after moving to the Bay and has been our favorite ever since. Great burritos and tacos with vegetarian options, delicious agua frescas (try the cantaloupe or guava when they have it!!), and quick no-nonsense service. We’ve moved further away from their normal location, but still make it a point to frequent this truck.
Ive had just about everything on their menu. Super good, so much flavor, authentic. I take everyone who visits me out of town here. Highly recommend

Ideally 3.5/5 Good tacos but the meat was a little dry and didnt quite hit the bold spicy and savory flavors I was hoping for. It is located next to a gas station but there are a few parking spots right next to the food truck.
Friendly service, the food is good. Portions seem small for the price. I spent 18$ on a burrito and a soda. Seems high for a taco truck.
My fiance favorite go to place for a quick bite! Im halfway through they menu and I tell you, it's amazing! My personal favorite is their Buche Tacos!!!

I used to enjoy coming to Sonora's, but the recent price jump is ridiculous. They're now charging $5 per taco, yet somehow the portions have gotten smaller. Most places charge around $3.50 and give noticeably more meat and better quality. Even full restaurants with much higher overhead don't charge anywhere near $5 for a basic taco. Going from $3 to $4 to $5 so fast, without adding anything extra, feels like pure greed. For the price they're asking, you'd expect at least more meat or improved quality ,but instead, you get less. Highly recommend avoiding this place. There are plenty of taco trucks and restaurants nearby that offer better value, bigger portions, and way better food for much less.
