Came to this restaurant for breakfast for the first time and I’m very happy we gave this place a chance. The service and the food were both great. We had the breakfast tacos (which they were half off for taco Tuesday) which they were delicious. The steak and eggs were also great and cook to perfection and the waffle were cooked to request. Definitely would be back.

I always used to hear my friends talk about this restaurant so I decided to give it a go and treated myself to an impromptu brunch. It was great! The atmosphere is very cozy and the place is well kept and very clean. From the moment I stepped in I was greeted by Carol who was my main server (I can't remember the other lady's name but she was very good too) All the staff was very friendly and attentive and you can tell that they work really well as a team. Now the food.... 10/10! My pancakes were light and fluffy. The bacon was perfectly crispy and SEASONED. My eggs were done exactly how I asked for them. I didn't even need to add extra salt or pepper! They have it down to a science 😁 and to top it all off my orange juice was freshly squeezed 😌 I couldn't ask for more. I'm definitely going to return with my family!

Incredible from start to finish. Great customer service over the phone prior to arrival. The owner was ready for us with menus and warm welcome. He sat us at the table of our choosing and told us he and his wife are the new owners, very charming couple. The place feels very comforting and whoever decorated/choose the paint color did a great job. Our waitress was attentive and absolutely incredible. Now the food: fresh and delicious. My friend and I kept offering each other to taste what we had because it was so well prepared and very tasty. Great price too. I live out of state but if I am ever in the area again I know where to go for breakfast. If you’re near please come in enjoy a great meal and support them.

I order ubereats from here a lot and everytime I order the food is perfect. Everything is always hot and seasoned perfectly. The French toast breakfast sandwich is always so good and not soggy like you would expect when u order eggs on bread. I think this place is so underrated and deserves great reviews. They truly send their food out with love

The About Time Cafe is a great little lunch and breakfast restaurant. The menu is well rounded with emphasis on breakfast. I was in the mood for a sandwich, so I had the Grilled Ruben on rye with fries. The fries were outstanding being hot and seasoned with a pepper / salt combo. The service was fast and friendly with lots of refills on my drink. Counter payment with a friendly face and clean restrooms. I will go back and suggest the same if you are in the area. It’s comfort food when you need it.

Everything, and I mean everything from the greeting at the door to the hospitality of all staff, the amazing attentiveness, cleanliness to the food itself was amazing! They even have a toy area for children. I wont be able to eat breakfast anyplace else again.

First of many visits we hope to make. About time coffee brings together all the good you expect from a restaurant. Clean and cozy place, attentive and timely service, varied menu, high quality product. A small business with all the ingredients to stay in time. Congratulations to their owners

Quick, friendly service with a smile! Food is homemade and tasty! We had a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed every bit of it. Pricing is fine, it isn't the cheapest place but the food is homemade. If you want super cheap and fast go to Waffle House or McDonald's. If you want good homemade food from a local person whom enjoys what she does, eat here, it's not going to break you and you won't be disappointed!

This diner is so underrated! I would give them 10 stars if I could. The food is always delicious and well presented. The staff is always professional! The previous owner was Ally's ( she's good as well ) until now and in my opinion, the food quality is 100% better!

A family place where you can bring the whole family. Our daughter made a special request and our server said "I will have to ask my Mom." We own a family business and that resonates with us. The food selections are large enough where we have had a few trips now for breakfast and my meal is always different and fantastic! This has become a weekly thing for at least two of us at each visit.

Wow, this place is great. I'm not joking when I say I can't remember having home fries this good. The best eggs Benedict I've had in quite some time. We will be back for more and more. Absolutely great food.

This ain't no fancy, shmancy restaurant! It's all about Quality! The place is always clean. The people are friendly and attentive. Great service. And the food!? Perfect and delicious. Quality is what they are about. Highly recommend.

The place was AMAZING the waitress and hostess left a great impression making sure we were ok my sister my dad and I were laughing. Food even greater then the service. It’s just such a comfortable feeling in there I would go back all the time. The people who work there are so friendly it makes you feel welcomed. Definitely going back when my family is here for the holidays.

We have been coming here for a few years now and we always have such a great experience. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It can get full and have a long wait time. Due to this we always put our names on the wait list using Google. The earlier you go, the less wait time there is. I truly recommend this place if you're looking for yummy food and great service!

Great breakfast joint. I wouldn’t call myself a breakfast fan, I usually just have something quick out the door. But when I have time I love coming to About Time. The French toast is great, the omelets are delicious with fresh ingredients, I love their breakfast sandwiches on croissants, and I recently tried their breakfast bowl which was plenty hearty and delicious. When you walk in you’ll now be surprised to see that come 4pm they switch over to Magaddino’s Pizza which I was curious to try, and I’m glad I did. Easily one of the best pies I’ve had here in the area and beyond. So now the town has a great breakfast spot in the morning and a delicious pizza place in the evenings. Can’t go wrong with that! A definite must!

We have lived down the street for years but for some reason have never tried here. Well we did the other day and it was amazing. I got the eggs Benedict florentine and my husband got the po boy. It was delicious! The iced tea was soo good too. Service was great! We will definitely be going again.

What a great place for breakfast. We go there 2-3 times a week. The food is always consistent. Delicious pancakes, French toast and omelettes. Also their eggs Benedict and potato Benedict is amazing. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful.

After 10 years of living 3 blocks away from this place we decided to give it a try, I'm glad we did, we are sooooo going back. Food is amazing, made from scratch, all the servers are very kind, they make sure have a great experience. The prices are incredible for such delicious food.. Met the new owner and he was very kind to us. I recommend this place 100%. We will be eating there as often as possible.

Ally's is hands down the BEST breakfast place in South Florida. I come in every Saturday morning to have breakfast. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating, the food is to die for and everything is worth the price. Their weekly specials are always amazing and those pancakes are enormous so you're really getting your money's worth. I love this place. 6/5 stars 🤘💕

My favorite place in the Sunrise area. None of the cookie cutter stuff out of a can most places serve - everything tastes like home cooking with quality ingredients. And the service is always excellent, even when they're busy on the weekends. I'd say the omlettes could be a bit better, not as cheesy as I like. Everything else on the menu (and I think I've tried almost everything) is top notch.

We live in Pompano but we were in the area. Google searched for a breakfast place close by .... "About Time" came up. My wife ordered steak n eggs and I ordered Eggs Benedict; both items take care with preparation. A "regular" sitting close by (Amanda) suggested Fried Grits ... we got that too. My wife and both agree that if in the area ... About Time restaurant should not be passed up. Service was excellent and my coffee ☕️ cup never went half way down. We will return next week! Now, we are ready for a nap!

Had the "Michael's Bacon Cheeseburger." Half a pound of simply delicious! These guys know how not to screw up quality ingredients by over-embellishing it. Cole slaw was sweet and best I have had in a very long time. Excellent service just like the first location.

Had friends in town and wanted to go to a different place for breakfast. A very good local family-owned restarant...food a was very good...the waitress was the owner's daughter-in-law and offered great recommendations since this was our first experience but not my last...very clean also with a steady stream of people.

If I could give this restaurant 10 Stars I would! The food is superb and made from the heart. And the customer service is absolutely amazing. But the biggest wow factor for me was when we were saying Grace over our food and then we opened our eyes the waitress was standing there praying with us! Melted my heart. Best food I’ve ever had

A great little cafe a few blocks from our neighborhood. Huge but not overwhelming menu. Everything (breakfast foods) we ordered was perfectly done. "Well done" home fries means deep fried, yes! Prices very reasonable and large portions of everything. Will definitely be back. Thanks!

Tabitha was a delight. We came in on a Wednesday morning and she was the only one working the entire restaurant. She was running around making sure all her tables had everything they needed. Despite being overworked, she never complained and always kept a smile on her face. I hope the owner of this establishment appreciates her because she is truly excellent.

Awsome staff and the food was great. Our waitress Lauren was great. Very sweet and attentive to all of our needs and requests as well as taking care of all her tables and customers. First time here. And love the food and vibe of this place. Very homey feel and made welcomed from the minute you step in..

I had a great experience! Walked in and was told to sit anywhere. One of the servers, Diana, promptly took my drink order (coffee/water). Then another friendly server (didn’t get her name) took my order - I chose a BLT Breakfast sandwich. Food came out quickly & was delicious! The bread was toasted well, the tomato, lettuce and bacon were crispy and the egg was well cooked! Served with tots, which were crispy! For the price point, portion, and speedy service I highly recommend! Used to order from here a lot pre-pandemic when I lived nearby. Definitely will be back!

Great breakfast place! Comfortable atmosphere and super attentive service! Debbie was a great server! Being that it was my first time there, I didn't really know what to expect or what to order, but Debbie made some great recommendations and I left with a belly full of delicious pancakes! I will definitely be returning, probably on the weekend when there is the extended menu with more specials. Keep it up Ally's!

K

The food was amazing, definitely tasted homemade and the service was excellent! Ally's mom was there and she was super sweet. She gave us some grits because we told her we don't personally care for them but we were pleasantly surprised with their grits! It was creamy, buttery n you can really taste the corn unlike most watery, sandy grits! You NEED to get the pancakes. Ridiculously moist! Definitely coming back!

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast here! Gotta come back for lunch sometime. They have so many options you'll never get tired of eating here. My server Jaimy? Jaymie? Jaymi? was very personable and attentive she helped me decide on what to eat (like I said, options) and was very gracious with me. Service and food were just what I needed.

I love About Time for breakfast! So many great options. Giant pancakes, delicious omelettes and really good platters. Everything I've had was cooked perfect. I had a club here before and that was also really good. Prices are competitive and service is always great. The staff is very sweet, holding the door for elderly patrons, checking back on your table many times. The specials are usually really fun and tasty. My favorite is the Eggs Benedict Potato Pancakes.

Quaint location with really great food and service. We had the classic Eggs Benedict and breakfast tacos. The waiter said the hollandaise is made fresh to order and it showed. It was the best we’ve had in a long time. We’ve been looking for a good diner for a while and this place is definitely it.

First time here. With my son for Fathers day. Went to Dennys first and saw nothing but disorganized chaos there. No one to take your name, no direction or how long it will take to be seated. Taking people who just walked in and seating them before the people who were waiting and they got upset and rightfully so. My son looked up online and saw this cafe. He called and the phone was answered politely and professionally. He was told there were open tables so we came. This establishment is very well organized and run very well. We were greeted right away and brought to our table right away. Our waiter was nice and helpful with items on the menu. The food was excellent and nice portions. The price was very good also. Just a very pleasant experience with very good food. Can't wait to try other items on the menu. Very glad we found this terrific establishment. We will be back.

Great find! Family run adorable cafe offering a great variety of food made with fresh ingredients. Staff is friendly, attentive and really seem to enjoy their workplace which speaks highly of the owners. Breakfast pizza is truly a favorite of customers but I loved the Monte Cristo! Come hungry as you get good sized portions.

This place was fantastic! Best breakfast I've had in along time. The pancakes are huge, but oh so good. They have homemade corn beef hash that was great and if you like grits, this is the place to get them. Hands down one of the best grits I've ever had!! Can't wait to go back!

AMAZING!!! The place is nice and quaint! We had been coming there for years but new management took over after older owners retired. Let me tell you I was hesitant at first but man was I wrong! The breakfast is my favorite and I had never tried them for lunch and boy I am hooked!!! You must have the BEST burger you will ever try in your like and it is the About Time Burger! I am making it a point to try everything in their menu and so far I have no complaints. For those who think that I am affiliated with them or know the owners I can assure you I am not. I am not getting anything out of this and I am just a Sunrise resident who believes in giving great or BAD reviews when merited. But in all seriousness, go give them a try and I know you won't be sorry and you too will take the time to write a review like this because it is small businesses like About time cafe that need reviews like this because their livelihood depend on us residents and patrons!

Great breakfast and dinner place. Waitresses and host were warm and friendly. The food was delicious, I had the pretender burger which was one of the best veggie burgers I have ever tasted. The owners are doing an amazing job transforming a local cafe into a blooming restaurant. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Excellent Place, great food. I had invited a friend to brunch and when I got there the place looked a little run down, we had little time so decided to try it. It was a great surprise- the best coffee I have ever had anywhere, food was amazing, presentation, freshness, service. I think if they did some redecoration it would be one of the best breakfast places I have been to.

My husband and I love coming here, it's our go to spot! Today we had a couple of mimosas, a waffle for waffle Wednesday, the breakfast enchiladas (best I've ever had!) And the chicken fajita omelet which was super cheesy and huge! We are slowly working our way through the menu and Jamie our server is always so kind and positive! Must try for dine in!

This has been my go to breakfast spot for the past year now. My boyfriend and I stumbled across the restaurant after moving into the area and have not stopped eating here since! Normally we dine in for brunch/lunch during the week before running our errands and it always starts our day off on the right foot. The food is absolutely scrumptious and the whole staff is friendly and prompt. This is one of the best family owned restaurants in Sunrise, possibly even in all of Broward county. I see how hard the staff works everytime I come in. Especially when it's slammed with a line out the door and the servers are covering multiple tasks, running the food, bussing the tables and catering to all of the customers as best as they can with such a small staff. You can tell by the pictures on the wall of staff and regulars, that this restaurant really cares about how they treat everyone and the quality of the food they are serving. I will always eat here!

They are under new management which made me very sad as the previous management & staff were so wonderful. We will greatly miss them and wish them well. However, the new management proved to be very accommodating. This review is on our most recent visit with the new management: Great food & menu has lots of good looking offerings. Everything made from scratch similar to the previous owners with a little different twist (both were/are good). Iced coffee came with real whipping cream as a creamer option. Fried grits have bits of sausage and were crispy & flavorful & served with a delicious side sauce. Country fried steak was very tender and topped with a very meaty sausage gravy. Generous portions. Everything came out fresh & steaming hot. Worth checking out! We’ll be back.

I've gone to this place several times. I love it. You won't find any other mom and pop diners like this in the area. Whenever I have a guest from out of town I always take them here to get a traditional American breakfast. The consensus is that they love this place too. I normally pick a random sandwich; each one has been delicious so far. So the food is good, nice relaxing atmosphere, friendly service. Highly recommended!

First time trying this place. We were greeted on entering and seated right away. The place was pretty full but still had lots of seating. The waitress was great!!!, service was good, friendly with a smile and very informative. The food came out in good time, most was hot and tasted good, except the hashbrowns were cold, although they made another to replace the cold one it was hot but greasy and with uncooked potatoes in the middle, not cooked through and crispy. The toasted bread for the BLT had a bit too much oil on it, but it was a good tasting sandwich apart from that! With these issues resolved overall it is a great little spot! I would recommend you give them a try! I will go back to try other stuff on the menu! Keep up the great work!!

Ate here for the first time today! I ordered French toast with a side of bacon! The service here is AMAZING! I truly didn’t enjoy the French toast but the bacon was good! This place has a southern feel to it! The hostess greeted me as I walked in, said goodbye when I was leaving and while I was visiting- received service from both him and the waiter!! GREAT SERVICE. However, I probably won’t return. Pretty decent prices also!

St. Patty’s weekend was our first visit here, around 9:15 A.M. We got Robin as our server. I said to my hubby,”The Internet says she’s the best server here.” He said,”Of course she is. Look at how personable she is.” She was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable of the menu and cheerful. Steve ordered the from scratch corned beef hash. They offered scratch or traditional. The scratch recipe included tons of fresh garlic, chunks of corned beef and potatoes fine diced with a few larger potato chunks (see photo). He ordered breakfast potatoes on the side with white toast, buttered. Real butter was on the table, along with half and half mini cups and jam. I ordered a veggie omelet with American cheese; it was moist and delicious. The bread choices were white, wheat or rye toast or a bagel. I opted for tomatoes in the side. This is a nice neighborhood breakfast place with a fresh, homey feel.

Able to make reservations over Google Maps... And that's important when Denny's and Lester's both have a 30 minute wait for breakfast. Food is nothing to write home about and the coffee wasn't great, but they were able to seat a party of six without a wait, so there is that going for them.

D
Dakota David

Food came out surprisingly quickly. Staff was very helpful and polite. The place has a sort of home-y feel to it that makes it inviting and comfortable. Food is pretty cheap compared to other places. There is a dessert case as soon as you walk in immediately in front of you, dining tables are off to the right and you pay at the register up front to the left of the dessert case. All in all an enjoyable experience.

E
Erik Arreola

Great food, waiter was very nice. Only thing is they need more waiters. After our breakfast was brought to us, we need condiments and our waiter took a long time to come back as he was busy helping other tables. I had to ask someone else to bring it for us. The ratio of waiters to tables was off. Other than that it's a great little place. I got the 3 meat Omelet, it was delicious.

B
Brea Allen

Good breakfast for the price! I tried the Shrimp Avocado Toast and was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and freshness of everything. I went on a Sunday for brunch and ordered the 2for1 mimosa/sangria deal (the drinks were ok, the mimosa was mostly orange juice). I’d definitely go back—the staff were kind enough, and the wait was only 15min during peak times.

Firstly, I am not an Egg/Breakfast type person. I only went here because my kitchen is being renovated and I have to eat out Breakfast and Dinner every day for 2 weeks. That being said, I eat healthy most of the time so I just ordered the healthiest items they had on the menu for Breakfast. The coffee was just ok, a little weak, but ok. The oatmeal was also just ok and a wee bit watery as well, but still ok. The everything bagel was average which is typical for a non bagel type place so that was ok as well. I did enjoy the turkey bacon, avocado and the fresh fruit bowl of strawberries/blueberries was excellent. So again, this may be a 5 star Breakfast place if you are a typical Egg/Breakfast person, but a solid 4 stars and the service was very friendly and efficient.

A

I have been to this place many times and me and my wife are happy going there. Typically, i get the Burger but the Breakfast is very good and made to order. Are they perfect and things will wrong from time to time but name a restaurant that that doesn't happen to. The staff are very professional and friendly and whenever the owner is there he makes sure to come to every table and say hello. In regards to a specific review where the eggs were runny and the container had water in it...sounds like you didn't pick up the order on time and there is so much they can do about that. Trust me , I live locally and there really aren't any better options than about time café! I recommend going and if you had a bad experience, give them another try. You won't regret it.

This was my second visit. Thanks to a local flavors certificate. My first visit was outstanding. I love great service and I got it. There was a server there, I didn't get her name but she who wore glasses and very friendly (quite possibly a manager). She was checking on all the tables and always asking if we needed anything. Her service was wonderful and the food was too. Well, today I had another waitress and uh, not so much. I felt as if I had to beg for water. Don't get me wrong ... she was nice enough, but kept walking pass my empty water glass and after one refill of coffee for my partner she never asked if he needed a refill. At the time, there were only 3 tables there. The food was okay ... I would certainly try it again. This could be a good breakfast spot if you're in the area and that waitress is a little more attentive.

Great food, friendly staff. Will be back again. Updated review. It's been a few years since I've been. Biscuits and gravy were bland... I don't think it was homemade like the menu claimed. Side of hash browns was a small portion of barely heated shredded potatoes.....$3.50 see picture Service was great.

Came in with my family for breakfast. We were sat down immediately. The service provided by Dylan was great. The food, however, was okay. I ordered the Mexican Omelet, and the chorizo did not taste like Mexican chorizo. The coffee was horrible! I felt like smoking a cigarette afterwards to take the taste away. (I quit smoking 10 years ago) Coffee is so bad I had to ask for vanilla flavoring. Even with that, I couldn't finish my much-needed second cup. (I always need 2 cups of coffee in order to function) I suggest you go to your favorite coffee place and bring it in for breakfast.

We used to visit Ally’s cafe a lot before they changed names. Always great food and service. Today for the very first time our food was very disappointed. The pancakes were very dry and tasteless, and the service not on point. I really hope it was just a bad batch of pancakes. We’ll come back and try again.

Pancakes were average. Bacon was good. Hashbrowns, which are a side order and not included, were inedible. Service was friendly. There was nothing in the meal that I couldn't do as well or better on my own. No need to go out and purchase it.

We had breakfast here. Mine was great...but they messed up my wife's order - which was simple...no mushrooms in the veggie omelet. She wasn't excited about the coffee either, but then again, she comes from the origin of coffee. My tea was not that hot...and the cup is small. Didn't check to see if refills were included, but then again, our waitress was MIA most of the time. No chance to ask for another cup. Oh well...hope you have a better experience.

Average at best. We started off on the wrong foot since we walked in. The staff was too busy chatting instead of seating us. There must have been 3-4 of them up front yet it took a while for someone to take us to a table even though we were right in front of them. There were plenty of empty tables so it wasn’t like they had no room for us. There was also some confusion as to who our server was supposed to be. A waitress took our drink order but then another waitress took our food order. The first waitress was pretty friendly, but the second one didn’t even say hello or crack a smile. She just wanted our order as fast as possible. The young man who brought out our food couldn’t even muster up a “you’re welcome” after we thanked him either. Maybe they were just cranky that they had to work on Halloween. The food was tasty enough but pretty pricey. We spent about $60 plus tip for 3 people for breakfast. The OJ was delicious and obviously freshly squeezed but $5 for a small glass isn’t worth it in my opinion. I’m not sure I would return.

My order was wrong. Not only did they short me one pancake they combined the special order it into one . The omlettlete was not as good as expected, sort of bland and a lot more Ham than one would have desired made the consistency very chewy . Pancakes were good..food did taste more home cooked style which is why I opted to try it in the first place. The bill for only two entrees to go was twenty dollars with an almost two dollars towards tip. Hostess could have been more friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff was nice. My waitress did not check my order before she gave it to me, not ensuring me of a proper order and she also didn't seem that compatible with her Co workers, not communicating when spoken to, making it difficult for them to place what was happening with the order that was sitting on the table... another waitress even rolled her eyes and spoke with attitude to my waitress... but my waitress was more than wonderful to me. The other waitresses were comical and light hearted, making the vibe a comfortable one. I can't say I wouldn't stop by for the pancakes if I we're in the area again. But it would be false to say I'd go out of my way to make another visit to Ally's comfort cafe.

Tater tots are greasy, bread salty could not eat them. The place looks run down. Don't know if they are new owners but first impression , the floor was sticking nothing looked clean . 😔 food did not deserve a 3 or 4. The price was over 10 dollars the only thing I could eat was eggs . 😞

The service was great but the food was horrible. The pancakes has no taste. The pancake syrup has no taste. The coffee has no taste. I couldn't finish the meal because it was so bad and I'm not a believer in wasting food. However, everyone there are really friendly. However this is a restaurant so the food is the main priority. I wouldn't go back.

My husband and I decided to go here because Long Island Cafe has different owners and the quality has declined. We ordered two bacon, egg, & cheese bagels with cream cheese. Each small tub of cream cheese is $1.00. Each bagel sandwich is $9.99. For the quality it is definitely NOT worth the money. I see they have good reviews, but the food just didn’t amount to the rave reviews, we won’t return. We’d rather pay less for Long Island Cafe.

We’ve eaten here several times and never had such rude service from the hostess. I understand being understaffed but ignoring the 20 people waiting to be put on the wait list does nothing but piss people off. She acted like she couldn’t be bothered. Do better.

My daughter and I went there for lunch today. I had a 20% off deal, and read a lot of good reviews, so we figured we'd try it. We were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic waitress. (Robin was the best part of the visit.) My daughter ordered the matzo ball soup and Robin brought me a sample of the cabbage soup. Both were barely warm. Neither of us liked the soups. It was taken away. My daughter ordered the Buffalo fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was maybe 1/4 inch thick. I ordered the (not) hot open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. The gravy tasted like there was a 1/2 bottle of wine in it. The meat was incredibly dry and tasteless. Needless to say, neither of us finished our food. Robin offered to change my meal, but I didn't. I doubt we'll be going back to try the breakfast that the reviews say is so great. ***this was where the owner had written a sarcastic, nasty response, but has since removed it*** Dear owner, 1st off, what Robin was thinking, was she was doing her very best to take care of YOUR guests while serving awful food. She was a wonderful server. I've actually eaten better food in a hospital cafeteria. BTW, if that was the best gravy you ever made, you need to rethink your profession. I'm able to say that, because I too am a restaurant cook. As far as your response to my review, it was completely unprofessional, and I wouldn't go back to your "restaurant" if you offered my entire family free food.

Chaos is the best way to describe this place. Poorly run - gives you family operated vibes because the staff is far from energetic and appears to be inexperienced. No hostess and nobody acknowledged the waiting customers. A few people walked out due to the wait. Finally seated after a 25 minute wait Our waiter was friendly. I ordered pumpkin pancakes with eggs and sausages. Pancakes were undercooked and doughy. Eggs were greasy and unsalted. My husband ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and loved it but did not enjoy the side salad. Service was extremely slow in the kitchen. Update: I went against my better judgment and returned for breakfast. It was awful. This place should not be in business. The service is worse than Burger King. The servers and kitchen staff suck. The service was horrible and the food was worse. The slop that they attempted to serve me was shocking. Needless to say, I didn't eat anything. They are selective about who they serve as well...privileged people get expedited service. Three couples were seated at different tables in the restaurant prior to a large party of 7 that were seated 10-15 minutes after us but they managed to serve them before us. We were all shocked when they received their food as we all still waited for our food. The fact that we had been waiting over 25 minutes and placed our order immediately at we were sat is crazy. Terrible.

Garbage... I ordered 2 fried eggs over medium specifically told them I did not want it runny.. With crispy bacon and weat toast... I got nasty runny cild eggs and the container had water in it so the runny yellow was mixed with water, the bacon was rubbery. And they gave me white bread... On top of it all it took them 15 minutes to fry 2 eggs... My order was to go... Never again

This review is based more on the service and their loyalty rather than the food.....when it came time to pay, they have a loyalty (VIP) card that they gave me the last time we were there. It specifically says on the card: “Buy 6 entrees get the 7th FREE”. There are no exclusions written on there. I handed the cashier the card and stated “4 entrees”, she repeated back to me: “4 entrees, ok” but she only stamped one and handed the card back to me. I told her that she was missing the other 3 stamps and she said that she can’t stamp it because it’s 1 stamp per visit (nowhere on the card does it say 1 stamp per visit, it specifically says “entrees” NOT “visits”. She then got the manager/owner, Scott and I told him that she wouldn’t give us the 3 missing stamps for the entrees that we paid for and he stated that they aren’t allowed to because the card is designed to bring us back. Which I then replied: “I will come back if you give us our stamps” he asked: “oh, an ultimatum?” Which I replied: “yes”. His response was unbelievable. He said: “I’m ok with that.” Fine by me....my boyfriend and I left. My boyfriend thereby left a review already and the owner, Scott, responded to his review and had the audacity to call us liars and say that we asked for 7 stamps and he says that the loyalty card does say one stamp per visit. I must be blind, because I don’t see those words on it. By the way, I would have been completely ok with his original response being something like: “I can understand the confusion, the verbiage on the card is misleading so I will honor the 4 complete stamps this time, but in the future it is only 1 stamp per visit”...bam, we would have been happy, but his responses and lies about us were completely unethical and completely unwarranted. I can’t understand a business that offers this level of service to their paying patrons.

I haven’t been here in a while, I’ll never come back again or take out. especially if the new ownership is allowing dogs in the restaurant. Waitress’s holding and petting the The snowflakes Chihuahua. While I was going back to leave a tip on the table I saw the dog licking off the snowflakes plate.I spoke to the owner about the situation, she has to cater to people with so-called service dogs but she said the dog licking from the plate is a health issue so she was going to talk to the snowflake about it.

I usually order out breakfast when in town visiting family and the food and service is usually decent. However, this time they couldn't get my order for three basic breakfast sandwiches correct. ??Ridiculous. Being fast is not always better if you make mistakes. And their listening skills...nonexistent. Idk...the order was simple enough. I won't be back.

Poor service. Food did not come out together. The table had to wait until everyone received their food which took an additional 8 minutes for the last person to receive the order and the worst part is the order that took the longest was a parfait which doesn’t take much to make. I had a long hair in my home fries, the wheat toast was stale. We are regulars here and have been customers of ally’s comfort cafe. We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant. Very disappointed.

I drove 26 mins to come here I was super excited to try some place new . I walked in and said hi good morning the lady said nothing I said hiiiii very energetic and she said just have a seat any where . It really sadden me because it's all about customer service and it starts with the greeting. The crazy thing is I'm a good tipper. I don't know what the food taste like because I couldn't give the cook a chance thanks to the person up front

[Update: I hear the cafe is under new ownership (thank goodness!) We will be back to try and I will update my review thereafter. This used to be our favorite breakfast spot for years!] Used to be phenomenal. Under new ownership (again) and not happy about the food changes. Wait staff is great but the food quality went downhill fast. Sadly we will not be returning.

The name speaks for itself. By the time you get your food, you will be saying It's About Time. Be prepared to see those who were sat after you, get their food first. Hear the kitchen is slammed and then end up leaving because you never get your food. Food looked good and the atmosphere is OK.

I visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. The food was ok but the vaping and the noise coming from the kitchen was a complete turn off!! I was sat close to the kitchen but I don’t feel like that should be an excuse to be exposed to a someone’s bad habit. The smell of vaping was so strong I could barely finish my food.

Was there today (11/30/24). Door is boarded up and has a realtor key box locking the door. Inside is dark and empty. Basic Google map scanning of the area no longer shows the restaurant unless you explicitly search by name. Assuming it’s permanently closed.

Love this place. Great staff and good breakfast. UPDATE: 7 months ago I gave this place 4 stars. Been coming for over a year and for the most part had a good experience. Since new owners took over it's been going steadily downhill. Today we arrived for breakfast. People seated behind us ordered ate and left and we hadn't seen our food yet. Called a manager over. She said she'd check. No update but she did come back as meal was finished to ask how things were. Tried to tell her but she just wanted to give excuses. Tip: In the future all you need to say is sorry that this happened and that either, you'll take care of it or I'm sure the next time you visit, we'll do better. At checkout she did take $3 off so kudos for that, however, we weren't looking for free, just some empathy for long time customers. Sad. Used to love this place.

I have been a customer for 2 years. Picking up, dining in and sometimes even Uber eats. Usually since the uber eats is not updated with all options on adding or removing certain things in the dish I will call and they will just show the chef to make those modifications ( I do this roughly once a week, they sometimes even charge extra for things like no cheese, I’ve never complained). Today April 1st of 2024, I call to make my regular weekly order. The chef/ Manager canceled my order and told me they could NOT accommodate to my paying order. The only thing that was “modified” was no cheese for one dish and the change of meat from sausage to bacon on my other dish. Not only did they tell me they no longer feel like fulfilling my order, they also told me i would have to come in and pick it up. I ask myself how do people with no car handle this? If you don’t have certain options on UberEats Why is that even a form of ordering ??? I then asked to speak to the manager and i was denied of that as well.

Strange experience. The wait staff was sufficient for the amount of guests, but none were experienced. The comedy of errors began upon arrival. Although we waited for over 15 min (standing in a line with no acknowledgement), one of the waitresses began sitting people BEHIND our party of 4. Meanwhile, fully available tables for 4 remained available. Following being sat, we waited another inordinate amount of time for the waitress. She was friendly, but aloof. After another lengthy period, we found another waitress to ask for the food status. She found our waitress who reported it would be available soon. The food strangely arrived in phases. The kids Pancake, eggs and bacon were average. The adult pumpkin pancakes were undercooked. However, the Buffalo chicken sandwich was a hit. It was fresh and flavorful. However, it was the only highlight in our delayed meal for three. Cant recommend. Update - came back again on 4/21 with the hopes that things would have improved. They haven't, it's much worse. 10 min wait turned out to be an hour. Food took another 30 min and tables seated after were served first. Food has also become poor.
