We had such a wonderful experience at Rainforest Café thanks to our amazing server, Phyllis! From the moment we sat down, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was especially sweet with our daughter Bella, taking the time to chat with her, make her laugh, and make her feel extra special throughout the meal. It really made the whole experience unforgettable for our family. On top of that, Phyllis was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out just right. We came from out of town to come visit this place for the first time with my nieces & OMG we loved it! We had a party of 12 & everyone was treated special! We were celebrating my parent’s 50th year anniversary and our experience was amazing! The entire staff went above and beyond in taking care of us specially Naima our waitress! We will be back in town in the next couple of weeks & we’ll be looking forward to visiting our new favorite spot! Naima, thank you once again for making sure everything came out perfectly!

The food was amazing, great fried popcorn shrimp and cool slushee cups I got to keep (which was amazing and I still use when I make slushees at home to this day). Loved the service, very nice cool people, I went there for a birthday and ordered a chocolate lava volcano cake and it was amazing! Not to mention they brought it out on firework candles on a nice well decorated place, but they even dimmed the lights JUST FOR ME. Everything was clean, sanitary and smelled good, loved the gift shop super cool, liked the animatronics and cool tiger time mechanic. Cool gators in waterfall out front. Loved it and will definitely go again!

So fun and kitschy in all the right ways! Phyllis was a great server. The food was delicious and the plates were large in portions. My kids were fully entertained and well fed. They also had a variety of great options for kids to be satisfied as well!

This Place is fantastic... great... extraordinary... unique... it has a thematic presentation that makes you feel like you are in a Zoo, the visual and auditory experience is excellent. In this Caffe Restaurant, Bar and Store it is to live an experience of another level... the children enter and do not want to leave, even us adults are hypnotized by the wonderful exhibition... Without a doubt highly recommended to spend a time of happiness in the best Rainforest Cafe style. We had a wonderful stay here. Our son was thrilled with the atmosphere. We especially loved our friendly and helpful waitress Phyllis. She was very kind, great with children, and treated our 3-year-old son wonderfully. We’d be happy to come back anytime. Thank you, Phyllis! :-)

Had a ball at Rainforest cafe!!!! I always wanted to go as a child but my dad never took me. Many years later I treated my mom to a lunch date and we had an awesome time!!!! The scenery was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were all nice. The egg rolls beats Chili’s bar none! The waiter was so sweet and so was the photographer! Seeing the marine life was like a mini trip to the aquarium!

I do recommend you to go visit yourself for the experience and they have a gift shop. I will call ahead to reserve a table, especially on the weekends, since they are located inside of the mall.

It was such an amazing experience. Grown adults, and we had the best time. One in our party has celiac disease. The kitchen manager came out, gave her the menu, and then answered all questions on how they prepared it. He then took her order personally back to the kitchen. I would like to commend Phyllis (I hope I have spelled her name correctly) for her exceptional service and kindness during our recent visit. Phyllis has been with Rainforest Cafe for 18 years, and her dedication and professionalism were evident throughout our experience. Our two-year-old daughter became quite frightened when the gorilla audio effects began playing in the dining area. Without hesitation, Phyllis graciously accommodated us by allowing us to relocate to a quieter table near the fish tank, which immediately helped calm the situation. She checked in on us multiple times, offering gentle reassurance to my daughter and ensuring we felt comfortable and cared for. What could have been a challenging and upsetting outing was transformed into a positive experience, thanks entirely to Phyllis’s empathy, attentiveness, and outstanding customer service. Employees like her are a true asset to Rainforest Cafe, and we are deeply grateful for her thoughtful actions.

It was a great atmosphere and Gio did amazing as she was our waitress. She attended to everything we needed quickly and came back to check on us often. The only issue was the wait for the food which seemed to have taken longer than expected.

I visited the rainforest Café for the first time in 15 years. I was graded by Kaitlyn and I let her know I hadn’t been here in a while. She spent a lot of time showing me all of the new entrées on the menu and she even gave me a tour and showed me the new attractions. She was very informative and helpful. She helped us with a research to bring the family back.

Phyllis was our server today and she did such a wonderful job! My family loves having a meal here when we visit the area. This visit was made even better by our server, Phyllis. Today I visited this restaurant with my children. It is truly an amazing place — great decorations, great atmosphere, and the kids were happy to be there. However, there is one serious issue that disappointed me and is the reason I decided to write this review. I ordered rice, grilled vegetables, grilled fish and shrimp for the kids, and pasta with chicken and shrimp for myself. I want to be very clear: for me personally, the food was really tasty. But the kids ate almost nothing — because the dishes were overloaded with black pepper. Way too much. I strongly believe that our waiter, Eric — who clearly has been working here longer than just a few days — knows this very well, yet said nothing and gave no warning. On top of that, the food took 45 minutes to be prepared, which is a long time, especially considering the restaurant was no more than about 60% full. Since this restaurant is clearly positioned as a kids-friendly place, I ask the management to pay special attention to this issue. At the very least, guests should be warned that these dishes contain so much black pepper. This is not food for children. Once again: for adults, the food is very good. But my kids left hungry — after a long drive to the restaurant and a long wait for the order. That is extremely disappointing.

Restaurant itself was very well set. Great atmosphere and detail, however for me the service was incredibly lacking. We were there early afternoon the Restaurant was near empty yet service was none existent. Nachos were decent although was mostly chips as the photo shows. For $22 you'd expect more. Charged 13$ for a beer, but come with a "free" pilsner glass 😅 2nd pint was 8$

We went to rainforest cafe for my son’s birthday. Eating here is what you would expect, the restaurant is located in the sawgrass mills mall. It’s a touristy restaurant in a touristy Mall. You do get a good size portion and even though the sampler is expensive you do get enough for a family of 5.

I enjoyed coming here with my kids. I recommend making reservations to avoid long waits. Place is nicely decorated with interactive jungle animals all around that moves and make sounds. Plus they have a huge and well maintained fish tank by their entrance which was so cool and other smaller fish tanks, but so beautiful as well. All food and drinks we ordered were very good and tasty with tropical flavors. Server was friendly, but service was way too slow.

We went to rainforest cafe for lunch at the mall. The line took long but we took pictures and it was fun while waiting a then there was a whole store we checked it but didn’t get anything unfortunately. First we had the pasta with was tasty creamy and flavorful. Quesadillas was ok but the pizza that made up for it was super duper good as well as the artichoke dip.

Being a local, Rainforest Cafe has been special and we decided to revist after a long time. However, this recent visit has made me rethink my next visit. As usual the ambience was good, loved hanging around. From the food we ordered, Rainforest burger was okay, Rasta pasta was really good, and the kids python pasta; I wish the Alfredo sauce was mixed evenly and not just thrown in there. But the main reason for lower rating was the service. For 20 minutes or so , we didnt had any server. But a server from some other section was kind enough to take our order. But when got one, felt the rest of the service was sluggish. Edit : August 2025, Christina has been really to host and service was good. Therefore changing from 3star to 4star

Eric was nice at the beginning, he is polite and really cares. However he was too eager to receive a positive review, kept asking us to give a review even before our food was served, he started to be a bit invasive, also during the rest of the afternoon, for example offering desert while we were still literally eating lunch. Place is a bit overstimulating for the ears, but super nice environment!

I was the first customer of the day. I went there for lunch with my wife. We were there at 11:00 am, our waitress took order at 11:05 am. The waitress said "hi can I take your order?" and totally different greeting to table behind of us, she asked them if this their first time and explain the place to them. I felt little disrespect from the waitress. Our appetizer came at 11:30am and our main course came out at 11:45am. There were only two parties at the time, our table and one behind of ours. We ordered first but the back table's food came at least 15 minute before ours. Food was great but service was terrible. I will go there again hopefully get better service next time.

Could not taste the liquor on the drinks at all. Food was good but it took quite some time for the food to get to the table. Our serve was good and on top of things but the back of the house needs some work The Anatomic show was great the littles all loved it. A little over pricey but hey it's Florida and you're paying more for the experience then anything else.. would I go back again... Yes I have been going for years it's well worth it

The Rainforest Cafe concept is brilliant. A theme-park atmosphere around the dinner table. Flora and Fauna of the rainforest with robotic animals and sound effects is all around. There's even a very brief thunderstorm that would be commonplace in a rainforest. We chose this place to celebrate a special occasion. The youngest in our party was a four-year-old and it was perfect for her. When she was younger, she was afraid of certain parts. This time, she loved the experience. The food was on the expensive side, but we knew we were paying for the elaborate rainforest atmosphere we were immersed in. What could have been better was the food itself. I had the fish and chips and the chips were better than the fish, which was too dry and bland. The French Fries were great though. The shrimp and pasta dish was the best of the items we tried and was good. Other meals were just fair. The consolation was that we didn't come here for the meals. Our waitress and her coworkers did a great job with a birthday presentation of cake and ice cream with a sparkler which was a lot of fun. We visited on a weekend when the mall was busy but Rainforest Cafe was not. Less than half the tables had patrons. Overall, we did enjoy our experience and will come back the next time we want the unique experience that Rainforest Cafe offers.

Food was okay but Phyllis was amazing! That's what I call customer service. She was great with my kids and was super friendly. Restaurant was clean and the decorations we really something unique! Thunderstorms during dinner!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere is really fun, my daughter loved it. We were a bit disappointed because we mentioned in our reservation that it was her birthday, but we didn’t receive the birthday dessert to sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ The kitchen was already closing and the server didn’t let us know or ask if we wanted to order anything else. Another table received their birthday dessert 40 minutes after the time the kitchen supposedly had closed, which was very frustrating.

The food was great, however the service was not satisfactory. We drove 40 mins to come here for my birthday and our waitress Phyllis forgot to put my food in. It happens but I don’t appreciate being lied to saying it’ll be right out when it would actually take an extra 15 minutes. Not a huge deal but everyone finished their food by the time I got mine. At the end she tracked us down as we were leaving to confront us and ask us why we gave a low tip. Wasn’t going to leave a bad review until she did that.

The restaurant is beautiful. Customer service awesome but the kitchen needs work. I ordered the T-bone steak medium and it was a terrible experience. It looked cooked on the outside but it was cold and rare on the inside. The waiter took it back but it just got worse. Thank god everyone else's food was awesome. But it stinks when you're the 1 picking up the tab for your son's birthday and get the worst food.

Not a first timer at a Fainforest Cafe. Atmosphere was as expected..excellent. Been to a couple of them whenever I het a chance. Never disappointed with service or food. One thing I do recommend is doing the lunch instead of the dinner. Crowd is always smaller, room at the bar in case you need to wait until table is ready. Usually 10 mins. Highly recommend visiting.

I've been to plenty of rainforest cafes and unfortunately this location was underwhelming. Our server was visibly irritated we were there. She was rude and very short with us (from the start)! You could tell this location needed some TLC. The tables and chairs were fine but the carpet was rough looking and dirty. The animatronics were struggling to move. Definitely needs a renovation. Food was okay. We typically visit the Disney world location so maybe their food is just better? We were so excited to come across a rainforest cafe and unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations.

Food was decently good. Service was poor. Our server barely came around. Ordered a coffee and it was beyond horrible. It tasted like no water was put into it. Our server wasn’t all that helpful either. We asked her how big a certain sandwich was on the menu, and she made it out to be like it was small when they were actually huge. I could’ve just ordered one instead of two. A lot of money was wasted in here.

Went there with my granddaughter. She really wanted to eat there. It was after lunch and not busy. There was no one to seat us, so sat at a table in the bar. We waited for a waitress but I finally got the bartenders attention. Too a long time for the food to arrive. It obviously had been sitting in the kitchen a while. Also, used the restroom and I must say, it was disgusting . We have been to the one in Disney Springs many times and enjoyed the food and service. We may try again because they girls love it there.

While the ambience is Disney quality which is the only reason this review warrants two stars. The staff is lost and will forget 90 % of why you ask for. Couple that with the fact that frozen food section at the grocery store has better quality food, visit and you’ll know what keeps this place open. Sad but good visual representation doesn’t warrant , subpar food quality, staffing issues and inflated prices.

I visited the Rainforest Cafe at Sawgrass Mills on Sunday, December 28th, around 6:30 PM. Despite the restaurant not being extremely busy, the service was completely unacceptable. I was with a group of four, and while my three companions received their entrees on time, my Cobb salad never arrived. They were already halfway through their meals before I finally had to flag down a manager just to get my food delivered. The most frustrating part was the total lack of communication from our waitress. She never once stopped by to check on the table or explain the delay, even though it was obvious one person at the table didn't have a plate. We were essentially ignored while I sat there with nothing. While the manager was professional and did eventually comp my meal, the experience was already ruined. You go to a place like this for a fun group atmosphere, but sitting there with an empty plate while everyone else eats is just disappointing. It shouldn't take a manager’s intervention to get a simple salad to the table. I did tipped her 20% because I’m not a mean person and I hope management retrained their staff.

Naima was our server. She only came to the table to get our order, serve our food, and collect the bill. It felt like she didn’t care for us as customers because she never asked if we needed anything or if the food was okay. The restraunt was completely empty except for maybe three other tables. Our food tasted like it was made with canned food and 10 lbs of garlic. We ordered the vegetable pasta and the chicken sandwhich. The wine tasted stale or dusty.

I was the only one who ate fish and fries. And the spinach dip. On the way home about 30 minutes after we ate, I had to stop and puke. This went on till 4:00 AM. SEVERE FOOD POISONING. My family was going to take me to the hospital. I will add, that I was the only one who ate that, no one else got sick, THEY all had noodle dishes PLEASE READ THIS

I had a very frustrating experience at this Forest Cafe. Even though the restaurant was only about 1/3 full (most of the 30+ tables were empty), the service was incredibly slow. • Wait Time: After being seated, it took over 20 minutes just to place our order. We then waited over an hour for two steaks to arrive. Even getting the check took another 10-20 minutes. • Hygiene: The forks and knives were visibly dirty with water spots/residue, which was very off-putting. • Food & Value: The steaks tasted good and were cooked well, but the portion size was quite small for the price. • Service: The staff members were kind and even sang for a child's birthday, but they seemed severely understaffed and unable to manage the flow of the restaurant. Watching the animatronic monkeys dance 10 times while waiting for food was a bit much. I hope they hire more staff to match the size of this venue

The food here is just terrible. Please dont waste your money. Bring the kids let them enjoy the animals and get them some food. But adults should not eat here. Me and my husband both had burnt burgers. My sons taco salad was unedible. The chef did not even chol the lettuce in the salad. Huge leaves of salad. It was just gross. We spent over a 100 dollars and left hungry. The service is however very nice. Lovely waitress. I will never go back.

We visited this place, and unfortunately it was a terrible experience. First of all, the restroom. I believe the cleanliness of a restaurant can be judged by its bathroom, and this one was extremely dirty. There was paper everywhere, everything looked unclean, and it completely killed our appetite. A truly awful experience. Secondly, the service was very poor. Our order was mixed up, which caused a long wait. Then the salad dressing was incorrect, and we had to wait about 10 minutes just to get the waiter’s attention, and another 5 minutes for the replacement to be brought. This is unacceptable. Additionally, the restaurant clearly needs a general deep cleaning. Dust was falling from the ceiling in the dining area, and all interior decor items were very dirty. It was extremely unpleasant and again completely ruined our appetite. The food itself was average, but due to all of the issues mentioned above, we couldn’t enjoy it at all. Overall, a very disappointing and unpleasant experience.

We went to rainforest cafe to go to dinner with 11 people. We traveled here from Wyoming, so that we could be on vacation. When we called ahead of time we asked if we had to make a reservation, they said yes, we asked if they were able to dine in for 11 people, they said YES! They had us in super quick. But of course there was a downside. Also, they could have said NO to us coming in for dinner. They took forever to get us our food, our server was disregarding us asking for refills, she didn’t really seem as if she wanted to get us anything. Then we weren’t told that they would be giving themselves a gratuity until AFTER we had dinner. If you have a bigger group than 8, guess that is what they do, and weren’t notified at all until we got our ticket. We paid $80 gratuity! To the server that we didn’t decide on for a tip! 30 minutes it took her to even give us ANYTHING FORGOT A BUNCH OF STUFF. After we got done, we could go to the store they have in there to get the glass cups we ordered, well we ordered 6 glass cups, that were not refills, we only got 2. For almost a $600 bill that we PAID FOR! We couldn’t decide the tip, and the guy in the gift shop was disrespectful and rude because of course we were mad because if we are paying that high of price we for cups we expected to get the cups! BETTER SERVICE, AND WARN PEOPLE ABOUT ALL OF YOUR RULES IF THEY DINE IN WITH YOU!

Food was okay, but still somehow the best part of our experience. It was our first time visiting, and our server Brianna made us feel unwelcome. We were sitting for a while before she came to greet us, and when she finally did she seemed annoyed. Every time we asked her for something, she acted like we were bothering her. Until you get more accommodating staff, we will not be back.

The only way our waitress could have been any worse was if I went into the kitchen and prepared everything myself and brought it to my own table. She had us sitting there for well over 20 minutes before, our order was ever taken. We also sat for about ten to fifteen minutes with no drinks before we ever first saw our waitress. I recommend you send your staff over to nineteen fifty five eller drive terminal twenty five.There you will find the celebrity excel ship get on board and their team will show you how hospitality is done. I will not be back ever.

The atmosphere is excellent for children, but I’m giving this place 1 star solely because of the hostess at the door. We accidentally entered through a side entrance, and instead of being professional or helpful, this woman was incredibly rude and harsh to us (02.17 3PM) Does the management realize they serve tourists from many different cultures who may not know the layout of the building? It’s a shame that such a nice setting is completely ruined by such poor service and a lack of hospitality at the front desk.
