Tinfish Sunrise Reviews
Ate here for the first time today. My family and I came in for brunch. This place is really cool onside decorated up like a true florida beach bar. Live music everyday starting at noon till 3am. The fish dip was the nest I've ever had and the other dishes I sampled were also great. Most notable was the service we received. We received superior service here from all the staff. I highly recommend this place to anyone in town.
My coworker and I found Tin Fish on Google and decided to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were mesmerized by the charming displays surrounding the restaurant. We quickly found a spacious seat by the window, perfect for two but large enough for four. We ordered the whole fried snapper, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. Definitely a must-try! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose based on your preference. There’s also plenty of parking in the plaza, which is a huge plus. The vibe is great for a relaxed lunch break, but if you’re in a hurry, keep in mind that service takes time. A 30-minute break wouldn’t be enough—you’ll want at least an hour to an hour and a half to fully enjoy your meal. Would definitely come back!
If you like Dim Sum this is a great choice there were over 40 options. Not much description on the menu though. Peking duck was excellent and the beef and broccoli was outstanding. Very attentive service. Decor was like an eating Hall, just one large open room not broken up by booths or walls.
At Tin Fish in Sunrise, the dining experience surpassed all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff's warmth and attentiveness were evident. Their genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our satisfaction elevated the entire evening. We decided to indulge in the yellowtail snapper, and it turned out to be a culinary masterpiece. The delicate balance of flavors and the freshness of each bite showcased the chef's dedication to quality. Additionally, we couldn't resist trying the famous fish sandwich, and it truly lived up to its reputation. The combination of textures and flavors in this iconic dish left us thoroughly impressed. What struck us most was the commitment to using fresh ingredients, evident in every dish we tried. The vibrant and robust flavors spoke volumes about the kitchen's dedication to culinary excellence. Our overall experience at Tin Fish was nothing short of extraordinary. The seamless blend of impeccable service, delightful ambiance, and, of course, the outstanding food has left an indelible mark. Needless to say, we're already planning our next visit to explore more of the tantalizing offerings on their menu. Kudos to the incredible team at Tin Fish for creating such a memorable dining experience
First time here at tin fish . What a experience it was , the customer service and the hospitality we received from the crew and our waiter was phenomenal. I had the grilled grouper, I didn’t think it would of been that good but it was amazing! The veggies as well was delicious. My wife had the fried snapper ! It looked amazing! Overall great experience, great environment!
Chef Joseph Melluso is amazing. I love his place. The staff is always nice and friendly. The Food is always great. Fresh, delicious and made to order. Joshua and Todd are the greatest. Anything you need they go a step further to make your dining experience great. They have a full bar also. Make Tin Fish your first choice. You will be happy you did.
What an excellent seafood restaurant in this unassuming Sunrise strip mall. The manager told us that they literally had a fresh swordfish that they caught an hour ago on ice! The servers were friendly and took our orders quickly and efficiently despite our party of 7. Grilled swordfish for us to sample came out with our appetizers. It was a big hit and a couple of my co-workers changed their orders. I ordered the salmon and I was so full from my tuna nachos that I barely touched my salmon dish. Food was very tasty and I would venture up there just to go back to eat at Tin Fish.
This review is a long time coming, i've been coming here since chef Joe opened up the spot. On today's adventure we started off with drinks my wife had the mermaid fantasy which she said was delicious and akin to a Mai Thai. I had a Remember the thyme martini which is hands down the most refreshing drink i've had in a long time. The cucumber and lime juice combo is perfect. I had the Chebooktook oysters from Canada, served raw and shucked fresh in front of us by the owner himself. My wife had the oyster Rockefeller prepared with the apalachola oysters sourced locally, both were very delicious. The evening continued with me ordering the grilled mixed seafood dish which in my opinion is the best dish. For $30 you get salmon, mahi mahi, shrimp, vegetables and slaw. I enjoy variety and the myriad of flavors in this dish hits the spot. My wife's main course was the Sloppy Fish on Slaw which is her go to. Again very tasty and well balanced. This location seems to be sold a lot. We've seen a couple owners in the last few years but this crew seems to be the best. The inside of the restaurant remains unchanged which we don't mind because it maintains the atmosphere chef Joe established. Tin fish may have changed hands but it's still a solid contender for a regular spot
We were very impressed with the baked Branzino and highly recommend it. The food is made to order so they are happy to accommodate modifications. The seafood tower for one had large shrimp, mussels, oysters, lobster tail and snow crab. I thought it was a great price for what it came with and the quality.
Thank you, Jessica, for the exceptional customer service! Every item, from the king crab legs 🦀, lobster omelet 🦞, and banana French toast 🍌, was scrumptious! The brunch was delicious 😋. The ambiance was lovely ✨. I highly recommend it! #Brunch #Restaurant #Food #CustomerService #Delicious
Place has awesome fresh seafood. The owner/Chef Joseph walked to our table and had a short conversation with us. But let me address the good food and atmosphere. Excellent seafood Great Atmosphere. Waitress had us also try their Chowder / Gumbo and fried Cod over Coleslaw as a tease. We just couldn’t order more food though wanted more. Hospitality A+ “Well worth the trip to this restaurant”
It’s my second time coming here, today I tried the seafood tower and a dozen of dirty raw oysters… It was absolutely AMAZING!!!! The atmosphere was good too with some live music, and the service was a 10/10. Thank you guys, specially Laura and Yasar… I’ll be back! 👍
This place is the bomb! One of the best fried whole fishes I have ever tried (compared to many!) The service is amazing. We sat at the bar with Stephanie and she was fantastic. The Bloody Mary’s were delicious, we added bacon to them. All of the soups were awesome. The two oysters we had were also tasty and fresh.
My daughter and I were in the area, after getting the go-ahead from her pediatrician, so we decided to give Tin Fish a try. We'd seen their menu on yelp. I wanted the oyster po-boy and she wanted the kids quesadilla. We got there right as they opened and our server Todd greeted us immediately. We get the menu and neither item is on it. No worries, Todd checked with the chef and he could make them for us. I usually like my oyster po-boys with just mayo or an aoli, so I was a little nervous when it showed up with two sauces already on and one of them was a hot sauce. I never eat hot sauce. I'm so glad I forgot to ask about that before, because I would have had them leave off the sauces and would have missed out. They worked perfectly together and with the sandwich. The chef even came out to ask me how those sauces worked on it. In addition, there had to be a dozen oysters on that sandwich! My daughter loved her quesadilla. Yes, it was just cheese, but you'd be amazed how many times she's ordered that and it's been terrible! She said this was cooked perfectly and nice and cheesy! For dessert, my daughter got the salted caramel cheesecake and I got the fresh strawberry bread pudding special. Please excuse the bites taken out, I forgot to take the picture first. The chef came out to ask me if I wanted real bourbon sauce on the bread pudding, and of course I did! Both of these desserts were roll your eyes back good! Service, food ambiance were all perfect! Our server, the manager and the chef all checked on us throughout our meal. It was a perfect little celebration for us. We will definitely be back!
Thought I left a review months ago! This business is amazing! From the owner whom is hands on, waitetress who was helpful and courteous to the cook who even came out to our table to talk to us! Then, the food!! Everything was delicious and fresh! Daily fresh catch specials which was swordfish for us and had options to have it served 3 different ways! We will be back if we go back that way and will keep an eye out for their other locations! Enough cannot be said about the owner and his love/passion for his business and customers! The tuna app is a MUST!!!!!!
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Tin Fish, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We indulged in the Blue Point oysters, grilled oysters, and the hot lobster roll. Each dish was exquisitely prepared, boasting fresh flavors that truly delighted our taste buds. The Blue Point oysters were a perfect start—fresh, briny, and beautifully presented. The grilled oysters, with their smoky undertones and perfect seasoning, were a unique and delicious twist. The highlight, however, was the hot lobster roll. It was generously stuffed with succulent lobster, perfectly cooked and seasoned, making every bite an absolute joy. What truly set our visit apart was the outstanding service provided by our server, Amir. Amir was not only incredibly personable and friendly, but his attentiveness made our dining experience even more enjoyable. He offered excellent recommendations and ensured that our needs were met promptly. Amir’s warm and engaging demeanor, coupled with his professionalism, added a personal touch that made us feel welcomed and valued. Tin Fish, with its fantastic seafood and remarkable service, has undoubtedly earned a spot on our list of favorite dining spots. We look forward to returning soon and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable seafood experience. Thank you, Amir, for making our lunch so memorable!
First time at Tin Fish. We had a very enjoyable meal. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. I especially enjoyed the citrus coleslaw. Our server was very attentive and very friendly. We will definitely make this a regular spot. :)
This is one of the best seafood restaurants i have ever been to! The oysters, both cooked and raw were amazing. The entire fried snapper was out of this World. The shrimp with crab was unbelievable. And i never had a crab-filled bloody mary... delicious. The ambience is fun. This place fills up fast. A bit pricey but definitely worth it! I highly recommend it!
First time visiting this wonderful place I wanted to eat fresh fish and our waitress Laura, who was very attentive and sweet, recommended drunken clams and mussels as a starter and then I decided on the red snapper. It was delicious and fresh. I will definitely return for the food and Laura's excellent service.
Best seafood spot in BROWARD and what better way to to enjoy a wonderful meal than supporting a LOCAL family operated business3 !! Had the most AMAZING Mahi sandwich, with crispy, delicious fries. We tried most of the menu!! Definitely recommend this sandwich! Their soups are INCREDIBLE too! Amazing fish tacos! The oysters were fresh and delicious. We were a large party and were greeted and seated quickly. The Tuna Poke was delicious, calamari was crispy and tender! The conch fritters were delectable. We had a whole snapper that was WONDERful, tuna tartar, AMAZING! The Lobster Roll was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Drinks were on point and SO GOOD! Kyle made our experience 5+ Stars! If you are looking for some delicious, FRESH, seafood and a GREAT LOCAL experience try Tin Fish! You will NOT be disappointed!!
This has been my third visit. And honestly never disappoints. It mostly specializes in seafood. Yum. My favorite. For those of us who are true seafood😋 the atmosphere is always so welcoming . And the staff is just great! Hi Laura! Our hostess☺️ We enjoyed the house cornbread it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a great place! It had a great atmosphere, it was clean with a good bathroom (very important!) Our server Laura was very attentive and friendly. The food was DELICIOUS and very fresh seafood. The manager Randy and owner Tracy were great as well! They truly CARE about every detail of that restaurant! I HIGHLY recommend going there! We will DEFINITELY go again, and we are traveling a distance but it's so worth it! ❤
While on vacation in Sawgrass, my sister-in-law and I had a most wonderful experience from the time we walked through the doors of "Tin Fish" we felt and was treated like family. This was only the beginning of the great service we received; we ordered the "Cod-fish and fried shrimp" the serving was big, filling, seasoned very well, of course we couldn't leave without a piece of that Carrot cake which Im sure it was homemade. We really enjoyed the personal service and food experience during our visit.
Tried this place because I happened to be in the area and was craving seafood. The seafood was very fresh and portions are fair, I was pleasantly surprised to find such fresh seafood and great flavor in the west sunrise area, food like this is usually by the beach or more expensive areas. The restaurant itself isn’t very “fancy” but you will be delighted, definitely recommend. I will be back next time I’m in the area.
I meant to post this yesterday but I come here pretty often and I love how much this restaurant stays on theme from the atmosphere to the food! My waitress, I believe her name was Jessica was very attentive , quick, and got my food served to me in a timely manner especially considering there was a lot of people there . I normally get the same thing but last night i was a bit confused as to what i wanted and she had no issue coming back in a little to get what I wanted and i love that . I love this restaurant and i’ll definitely be visiting again!! Thanks Tin Fish
Went here for my birthday lunch in December with my mother and father and loved it. 3 months after and I'm still thinking about the great food we ate. We unknowingly sat next to Chef Joseph who was very attentive, informative, and friendly. He even shared with us his salmon. Highly recommend this restaurant for any foodies! Great seafood.
The place is the place to go for fresh fish. Friendly and knowledgeable staff with personalized attention and EXCELLENT food. The ambiance is friendly and cozy. It's a relaxing place that serves to of the line food. The prices reflect the quality and freshness of the food. I see any this place is always busy.
I had the pleasure of meeting the executive chef/owner of Tin Fish in Costa Rica on a flight back to Miami. It was great to hear how he started to the wonderful establishment it is today. Chef Joseph Melluso invited me to come by and visit the restaurant. Days later, I came by with my dad and I was beyond impressed. Our server Jennfer was very pleasant, great customer service and was able to provide excellent recommendations on the menu. My father and I tried the cornbread with jalapeno and this homemade honey butter. Then the servers brought out this lightly-fried Snapper fish and Shrimp Alfredo. The burst of flavors were amazing. The decadent carrot cake just pushed it over the edge. All the while, Joseph came out and mingled with us at the table and other guest throughout the restaurant. It was nice to see the great connection he has with all his customers and the friendly staff. My father was so pleased with the fish bc he said it tasted as good as Port Antonio, Jamaica fish. All praises to the chef. He even loved it the next day too. I am honored to met Joseph and his personalty so reminds me of my father. They are both smart business man but very down to earth and lovable. You know I had to get a picture with these two great business people. It was our first time at Tin Fish Sunrise but it won't be my last. Jennifer, our server, was awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. I was deeply honored to get to talk to Chef Joseph for three hours on a plane ride. You just never know who God puts in your path. Continued success in all your establishments and I am sure we will connect in Marketing or Travel very soon.
My husband and I definitely judge this book by its cover! Fresh fish, live music, and great service! We both had the fried snapper. My husband ordered his crab stuffed. Our server Ed was very personable, kind, and funny. We were even able to pick our snapper, Ed brought them out and had us pick our fish. There is an older gentleman that plays live music, he sings, and plays the sax — this really elevated our experience. He’s there Fridays, Saturday’s, and Sunday's, I highly recommend going on these days just to hear his music! When our order came out, we did notice that one didn’t come stuffed as ordered, but that was fine with us. The cook who brought the food out was very apologetic and insisted that he bring out the crab stuffing, but we ensured him that we were okay! Ed made sure to comp our drinks since the order came out wrong, which was very thoughtful of her! All in all, for a first visit, we were really satisfied and impressed and we will be back!
10/10. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Went for lunch and the chef had all food for a large party prepared to perfection. Shrimp and grits served here is one of the best that I’ve had. The atmosphere is family friendly. My new favorite restaurant.
Best seafood in Broward. I highly recommend the Bronzini whole fish with Asian sauce or the crab stuffed lobster. You will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is causal and private. Great date night spot or family dinner. Friendly and attentive staff. Full bar and amazing appitizers. Fresh food, clean restaurant and the best chef in town preparing your food. Everything is cooked to perfection never dried out or fishy tasting. The seasoning is amazing and all the dishes are portioned well for the price. 5 star service and food. I highly recommend trying this spot out you will not be disappointed!
What a find!!! Not being familiar to the area I was so happy to find this place with amazing seafood, everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked. We had oysters , lobster and the whole fish that was to die for. The service was great and friendly. Definitely coming back when in the area.
This place is amazing. The food is always on point and so is the service. They have some of the best grilled oysters around. The GM Charles is a sweetheart and really cares about his customers. Love the great wine selection and of course if your really feeling it the carrot cake!
Easily the best fish experience I’ve had in south Florida. The fish is as fresh as it gets, cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere is totally laid back. Great music, great food, great service. Even decent craft beer selection. I had both the grouper and the snapper, one fried and one grilled. Couldn’t decide. In the end I could tell you which was better, but I was stuffed. They also have other fish. Most places won’t fry snapper because it’s not easy to do, but this place didn’t bat an eye. I would go here every day if I could. I am a fish fanatic and I have searched all over south Florida for a place like this. Glad I found it. It is not by any means fancy, but damned the food is good!!!
My first time here and it was a marvelous experience. My friend & I were celebrating my (2) years of surviving and thriving this cancer fight. Mattie was very kind and accommodating, she got the chef to butterfly the shrimp for my elderly mother 👍 We had the snapper tacos - absolutely superb
Excellent place for a seafood lunch. Great service and attention by the staff. Ordered the whole fried snapper (37 ounces) with the oriental ginger sauce on the side and a side dish of rice. Also had the corn shrimp chowder. All the food tasted fresh and was expertly cooked. The portions were ample and satisfying. The staff was very friendly and explained all of the choices. Will go back again and again. Nice place!
Great place with an unique atmosphere that gives you the sensation to be in from off the ocean. For is fantastic, my complements to the chef! Service is great, the staff, through fantastic interactions really show customers that they love their job. If you like sea food, this is your place!
Didn't know what to expect with this place but Tin Fish definitely exceeded my expectations! Everything that came out was DELICIOUS! Open Fire Oysters, Cracked Conch and Sloppy Fish all washed down with a perfectly blended sweet tea. Super friendly bartender/server, rustic decor. Located in a shopping Plaza with New York mart and TinTin Chinese restaurant with plenty of parking. Will definitely return again. 😀👍
A few friends have told me I need to try this place. We've been wanting to come here for a long time, and tonight was the night. As soon as we arrived, you could feel the laid back atmosphere and ambiance. The place was packed as usual, and now I know why. This place is, without a doubt, one of the best seafood places I have ever been too. Our server, Sydney, was absolutely fantastic. Her attitude and personality were contagious. We tried each one of her recommendations, and she did not miss a beat. We started with the poké tuna, which was amazing. We followed up with the whole yellowtail fish in Asian sauce, which was phenomenal. We finished with the creme brulee and a cappuccino, the perfect compliment to such a great meal. We were just about to finish paying our bill and leave, and we were approached by Chef Joseph, the creator. I took some photos with him and staff. It felt like I was meeting a celebrity. Thank you guys for a truly excellent meal, we will be back.
Great experience, great service, and most importantly Delicious food! We had a whole fish and a couple of appetizers - the calamari and the alligator. Everything was extremely tasty and expertly prepared! Definitely try this place out! They have a huge selection of fresh seafood and they also occasionally have live music and outdoor seating.
This has been my favorite seafood restaurant for quite some time now. Food is fresh , creative, absolutely delicious!! Owner Joseph always makes you feel like your family. Roasted oysters and stuffed lobster are couple of my favorite dishes. Ask for server Chris, again makes you feel welcomed and gives great suggestions.
This Front of the House Team brings an authentically joyful ambiance that can't be beat, all while being supported by an incredible Back of the House Team and Head Chef who know how to elevate unique seafood dishes to delicious perfection! If you're looking for a casual and fun place to enjoy great seafood... this is the place! Don't forget to ring the bell! Loved our first visit and we will be back!
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Since the moment you walk in the server was super nice and friendly, I mention that it was our first time and she brought us few examples of food to try, they were all really tasty!!!. We decide to go for the Sautéed Octopus, I can’t describe how delicious this plate was, it was cooked perfect and had an exquisite flavor. The chef came to our table to ask if we like it and told us exactly how he made it. A really nice touch! It made my visit really pleasant! I will definitely be back soon!
This place!! The food!! The atmosphere!! Everything was amazing! The food is fresh and delicious. The owner Tracy Newmark and her husband went above and beyond to make not only us but everyone dinning to feel welcome. It’s hard to find service like this anymore but I must say TinFish is the place to go! If you want good drinks and fresh seafood this is the place to be! We will definitely be regulars.
Highly recommend this place! A bit on the expensive side but worth every penny! Had the 10 Oz swordfish grilled and sautéed vegetables! Cooked perfectly! Drunken clams and muscles was phenomenal! Loved the floridian hopgun beer! Will definitely be back try some more dishes! The presentation is also something to enjoy! If you like red snapper trying that next! Ask for Kevin he was awesome server!
Fresh fish restaurants in south Florida are a dime a dozen. But if you want eclectic flavors mixed with fresh local fish, Tin Fish is your joint of choice. They offer outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. I love sitting outdoors as they usually have a live musician Friday and Saturday nights. There are fans to keep you cool as well. To start with, order the pita chips and salsa. They make their pita chips fresh and in-house. Absolutely to die for, melt in your mouth, buttery goodness. The gator bites and ceviche are also top favs of mine. For dinner, you can't go wrong with the tacos or a sandwich. Servings are large, fresh and very well seasoned. Grabbing the fries? They come with old bay on them and you can top them with their delicious hot sauce for an extra kick. You can also swap the slaw and fries for the steamed veggies which rotate and are always really good. Their coleslaw is the only thing that really disappoints. It's flavorless and gross in my opinion. Sorry Chef Joe! Drinks are also top notch. Grab an old fashion made with a black cherry and a block of ice, a crisp sauvignon blanc or a tangy margarita. You can't go wrong!
Probably best fish and chips around. From Hawaii so I know what fresh taste like. This is certainly equivalent to that. Cole slaw isn’t traditional either, thank god. Made made with a vinegar mixture rather than traditional slaw. French fries are great but fish is amazing. Full of flavor. Never had issues with it being too busy either. Definitely recommended.
. . . This restaurante is one of my favorite. Its fish plates are amazing. The foo worth each dollar you pay for.
Hoy probé los tacos y fue una delicia… Recomiendo los de kaboom shrimp, y los tacos de snapper!. Buen servicio y agradable lugar
Excelente servicio de los 2 y una muy buena actitud y muy amables
I had a great time dining at this restaurant and my favorite dish was definitely the open grilled oyster. It was so delicious that I will definitely be coming back just for that! The decor of the restaurant was amazing and really fit the theme perfectly. The staff were also very friendly and made the overall experience very enjoyable.
Just went here today, thinking it would be average. I was proven wrong! This place is great! The atmosphere was homey and pleasant. The staff was nice and was I believe the best part. The food is Great. Needless to say my family and I will be back soon. The only reason why I didn’t give it a five star review is because the bathroom was very dirty. There was toilet paper clogged in the toilet. And papers here and there. But other than that. I would suggest checking it out!
Price was ok on point, Food outstanding, huge portion, in my case my fish was dry, perfect seasoning, Cheff he's really friendly, he knows what he's doing on the kitchen. Something take my attention was the server, I think so her name is Isis, you cannot find better server in town, friendly, fast, super polite, and provide outstanding quality customer service, my personal opinion she is an asset for this restaurant. My Food qualification have 4 stars for quality of the food because they failed on the fish was overcooked. The veggies was on point but the side salad was over sweet. I provide five stars for the service.
Good place for seafood. They have both outside seating area and inside. Delivery time is fast. Food tasted good, but didnt had any wow factor. The side dishes quantity is large with fries and coleslaw. The interior of the restaurant is done in an authentic design. The outdoor had a live music performance when we were there.
We had a good experience here while passing through my husband's childhood hometown. Our waiter was kind and knowledgeable and the owner/manager came over to talk to us and our children. When he asked one of the children what kind of pasta they wanted (kid's menu), they started going a bit crazy suggesting every sauce in existence 😄 he said they could make whatever they wanted so a child asked if they had mac n cheese, her fave and she hasn't had it in a week or two while we've been traveling. Owner said coming right up. Two mac n cheeses and a fettuccine Alfredo for the third child. My husband's grilled Mahi tacos and my famous fish tacos came out perfection. We were both finishing up eating before the children's pasta came out which was unfortunate as the kiddos were hungry, but it got there and it was beautifully made. You could tell they made true cheese and Alfredo sauces instead of just tossing some cheese on some noodles. Happy kiddos all around after that for sure!
We arrived early afternoon. There is a covered patio section available, but since it was raining we sat inside. Were greeted promptly and seated. Perfect. Our waitress, Tiffany, was the best. Personable, a listener, and friendly. Alternative, grunge music played - huge fan. Loved it. The atmosphere was great. There are vents above the table that dripped water, but a quick table change was available. The apps-conch fritters, calamari, and kaboom shrimp-were liked amongst the party. The cheeseburger was brought out without cheese, but that was taken care of when noticed. The other entrees-shrimp po boy, fish and shrimp were, again, well liked by others within out party. Now-I ordered the crab stuff double lobster tails. It was greatly priced. Came with veggies and rice. The veggies were🤌🏾 and the rice was good. The lobsters weren't completely cooked under the crab meat. By that time the rest of the party was ready to head out. I wish I had a presentation plate. It looked delicious. I'm pretty sure with the customer service, it would've been promptly taken care of and I'll definitely give it another shot for Tiffany and the atmosphere alone. No other complaints.
Didn't expect anything phenomenal but still left disappointed. Lived across the street for 7 years and for some reason, never been here and I guess that was for good. Saw good reviews here but still didn't have any high expectations for the place. Unfortunately, even little expectations haven't been met. Started pretty good, seated outside, placed an order. The owner of the place (according to him) came to our table to greet, said we should try samples of their appetizers and he will send it to us. And that's when the good start ended. One of the items in our order got lost somewhere, and my 7-year-old son had no food until we reminded the waiter and got his dish when everyone else had already finished their meals. And instead of lightly breaded grouper that we ordered, they brought grilled grouper. The biggest issue, though, was the whole snapper we ordered. Fish wasn't fried. Fish has been cremated. Extremely overcooked, very hard outside, very dry inside, and absolutely no flavor since no seasoning at all. And that was $64 for fish we didn't eat even quarter of. Very disappointing experience. And BTW promised appetizer samples never made it us. After we've paid the bill, I've asked one of the waitress ladies if I can chat to the owner, just wanted to give him a heads up (I am as business owner myself always eager to get direct feedback from my clients). But he never showed up. Didn't want to argue with anyone since waiters were nice and it was late but won't be coming back and won't recommend ordering fried fish here.
El lugar està bien decorado, la comida está buena, pero tardaron una hora en traernos la comida, muuuuy lentos en la comida, mal servicio de parte de los messeros.
I just ordered via post mates and Tin Fish got my order wrong! After I specifically typed no baja sauce, no cheese, and no dairy on each taco they put the dairy and sauce on my tacos. So I had to scrape the fish and wipe with paper towel. At least they got the French fries right. Also I called 3 times to confirm they saw my notes and got hung up on twice, no answer the 3rd time. Hot mess
Pretty rough experience all the way around. The restaurant was pretty empty, but service was still incredibly slow both serving and in the kitchen. Food came out horribly cooked. Hush puppy app was dried and lifeless, and somehow cold for how overcooked they were. The butter served on the side was ice cold out of the freezer. The lobster roll was overcooked rubber and had an off taste like it was a bit too old. Fish and chips were soggy, burger was leather, and the salmon was sad served with the worst broccoli we've ever had. We ordered a beer when we first sat down but it didn't get to the table until the entrees arrived, 30 minutes after it was ordered. We wanted to like this place but we all left with regret, never to return, and by no means could we recommend based off our experience.
This was by far the worst experience my family has ever had at a restaurant. We come here every year on our vacations and have never had a bad visit, but this one takes it. Out of a party of 8, no one ate their food, and 3 have a form of food poisoning almost immediately after. The chicken was pink inside, fries were cold, fish tacos ended up chewed and into a napkin, and every dish was almost like it wasn't cooked long enough. For a couple of drinks, soup (which was the culprit of the food poisoning), and a burger (the ONLY edible thing), we had to pay over $100 even after removal of the uncooked entrees. We watched one of the chefs scratch his nose with his gloves on and one of the chefs covered in sweat. Only to top it off with a trumpet player who walked around. We couldn't even have a conversation. I don't know if this place has new management but this was very disappointing.
We had been here in the past and had enjoyed it very much. The place was nearly deserted at 5:30 on a Thursday. Server more interested in chatting with staff than us. Out of two beers listed on menu. Key West salad contained sliced beef while although tasty, did not appear on menu. Our vegan had to send it back. Manager was very solicitous but by then it was too late. Someone said there has been a change of ownership. Sad to see decline.
