La Sabrosa Sylmar Reviews
Friendly service, good food portions. Food was made at time that it was ordered. Ordered for pick up, food was ready at the time I was told to pick it up. First time here, hope to be back soon to try other food options. The only thing is that I ordered 2 elote and 1 chicken tamal and got 1 elote and 2 chicken, other than that it was a good experience.
I have had Pupusas at over 30places or more in Los Angeles and California and across the states to Florida. I ordered a Carne asada pupusa and it was hands down the best I have had. As big as my hand and thick and full of meat and cheese. Everything here is delicious! Great Job ! Thank you for the wonderful food amd nice staff! Takes a while but they are making everything fresh!
As the name suggests, the food here is truly tasty. We were so curious about the condiments placed in each table. There’s the Curtido, a jar of fermented cabbage relish; Cebollas Moradas, the pink Salvadorian Onions; and a variety of Jalapeños. Lucy, the cashier-waitress was so hospitable and friendly. She explained in detail what the dishes are made of, and described how they may taste like. She even gave us free Salvadorian tortillas. The first thing she served was the on-the-house chips appetizer with guacamole dip. I ate them with Curtido and Cebollas Moradas...more than enough to fill in my hungry tummy. I had the jitters that I couldn’t save some more space for the Salpicon, the main dish we ordered. It’s made of finely-chopped beef with onions, tomatoes and cilantro, with other veggies and mashed frijoles on the side. The serving was huge, more than enough for me and my 2 kids. All I heard from my daughter when she was eating was, Yummy, yummy!” We had the Salvadorian guajava aguas frescas (they called it Arrayan), which was fruitilicious, and the sugar-coated vanilla flavored corn snack for dessert, which was addictive. Small cozy place, good for families with kids, as they have high-chairs too. The restroom is spacious and clean.
Called in my order they told me my 3 pupusas would be ready in 35min., picked up, my order staff was not friendly at all. I asked for my pupusas extra crispy they where soggy had to reheat them at home no biggy. Delicious 😋 pupusas and salsa
The Pusas are decent good. The only downfall is that I went today around 2 p.m., and I ordered 4 revuelats and 1 cheese and beans. But a new girl was working and They gave me nothing but onions and no cabbage so I couldn't enjoy my food like I wanted to and the salad pineapple drink was warm, not even cold. That's all the onion they gave me with no cabbage for 30 bucks. I expected some ice in my drink at least
One of the best pupusas ive ever tasted😋😋😋 if you come.to.this side of town u must try this place out

Amazing pupusas!! They are made to order so relax and enjoy the environment. Mexican food is also delicious. Go hungry or leave with a lot of leftovers.
I love this place! The food is great. The service is very friendly. I order through Doordash and everything was perfect. I went in person and the restaurant was very clean and the food was just as good if not better since it’s freshly made. Definitely come check them out.
I came here on Saturday night and the women were so nice. I owe them an extra tip next time I go in cause the card machine was in Spanish and I clicked too fast the wrong thing. The food is GREAT. I don’t speak Spanish but the women are more than patient to meet me half way. They are super sweet, and I felt welcomed 100%. So if you’re white like me have no fear. lol. I feel we all get to practice each others language over greet food. A++++ experience
Thank you La Sabrosa. Im a home health nurse, and I often treat my self, and get my food delivered to my job. I've ordered twice from La Sabrosa, and the food is well done, well packed , clean and all the small sauces included. The food is very tasty 😋.

First time eating here. I ordered 3 Pupusas Revueltas with a medium Horchata. The food was pretty good. The hot sauce they offered was okay, it could have been more spicy but it the did the job well. The Horchata did taste a little funny to me and also was kinda of chalky tasting. So that's why I took off one star from the overall score. Other than that, the food was very good. I really did need some comfort food and those Pupusas really hit the spot. Whenever I'm in the mood for Pupusas again, I'll stop by again.

We stopped here on our way to San Diego from the Bay Area. The pupusas, though expensive, were MASSIVE! Also, very tasty (queso con pollo y queso con asada). I found the atmosphere pleasant, the staff friendly, and there were sides (salsas/pickled vegetables) brought to our table. The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is the price, and my girlfriend got the Pastelitos con carne, which had more potato than meat in them. Would definitely come back for some pupusas again.

Pupusas are great. Rest of the food just OK. not in the best neighborhood so watch out. Prices are UP. Staff could definitely be friendly

Can’t say anything about the food cause I didn’t try it. But why have a price inside stating 3.99 on the wall. Then turn around and say it’s a special on Tuesday and Thursday based of a sign outside. Then get mad at me when I question the logic. Do better.

I was in the area and came to try the pupusas based on the reviews I read and they were about a 2 on a scale of 1 through 10. I grew up wating Salvi food and ive had some really good authentic food to some pretty bad food. They were dry with barely any cheese at all. See photos. I would never go back to this place especially at $4+ each pupusa. I ordered chicharron con queso and frijole con queso. Both had close to zero amount of cheese

This is a very bad place to go eat. Every time Carmen is in the front taking orders she is very rude. When you order drinks she gives you the left over from the day before, when you tell her something she doesn’t care ends up telling you they don’t have any other drinks available. She gives this place a poor rating due to her crappy attitude.
Worst pupusas I’ve ever hear in my life. Was there yesterday on Sunday Cinco de mayo. As a Mexican I wish I would have stuck to Mexican food. The girl that took our order seemed very annoyed and impatient with our questions.
My mom ordered for the both of us, first they told us that they didn't have any chicken breast and a minute later they lied and said they do. 50 dollars for each ordered. When a restaurant lies to the very customer that is paying for their business to continue then you know to never make that mistake again.
I door dashed 14 pupusas and some pastelitos for $95. Ouch! Walked into an empty resturant. I greeted the rude lady, she hesitantly greeted me back. I told her I was picking up a doordash order, she seemed perplexed... as if there was no order for me. She walked to the back and turned around to grab the only large order sitting behind the counter. I asked her if I can order 4 Horchatas, she replied we don't have Horchata. Okay. The flavor lacked on the dry pupusas revueltas. They had dry beans, minimal cheese(on corner edge), and dry old smelly chicharron. (Possibly expired pork meat). Terrible service and food.
So I’ll start of by saying that the Pupusa were not good. Very dry hardly any cheese or beans. The Pupusas are almost $4 each it’s really expensive and for the way they taste I wasn’t satisfied and will not come here again please go by the reviews I made the mistake on ignoring reviews and here I am disappointed.. the waitress isn’t too pleasant she did not once come to check on us I had to keep going up to ask for things 😩
