Great food, great people, great time! Berta is absolutely hilarious!! Came from Philly and would definitely visit again next time I visit Tampa. Don't let the appearance fool you, it's great!

I’ve lived in Tampa for over 35 years, and I can confidently say this is one of the best places in town for a truly authentic Cuban sandwich. The meat is perfectly seasoned and flavorful, and somehow they manage to press the sandwich piping hot while keeping the lettuce and tomato crisp and fresh. That balance is hard to find — and they absolutely nail it. Beyond the food, the location has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff couldn’t be more personable and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers’ experience. We were fortunate to arrive early because the place filled up quickly — which tells you everything you need to know. I wouldn’t hesitate to return in a heartbeat and already look forward to grabbing another perfectly hot, pressed Cuban sandwich the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend for anyone craving a phenomenal Cuban sandwich.

BLUF - The flan is a piece of heaven! If you know, you know. Doesn’t matter what you get, it’s all good! Bertha is a sweetheart of a lady who serves up great food at a decent price, and quick witted humor for free. The meatloaf is awesome as well as the egg salad and the potato salad. Had the Reuben today on toasted rye, umm good!

Been coming here since I was in mide school and I would walk over from Buchanan, when it was located on Bearss. Berta is fantastic and fun. And the food has been the same and better for 25yrs! My fave is the egg salad😋

FANTASTIC! I love Cuban Sandwiches and really like this sandwich here. I suggest the pressed Cuban. 😋 I also suggest adding pork to the sandwich which comes with an extra small fee. Cuban sandwiches are all made different and this one is very good overall. There are no combos. Add chips & a drink which is a must. They also have iced tea but there is a fee for refills so order a large if you are thirsty! Call in tour orders ahead of time to save time. The atmosphere is old school with a nice quaint feel. They do take cash or cards! Bathrooms are clean! 📝: Berta the owner is old school. Treat her with respect. Give it a try and leave a rating to help others.

This is a sandwich shop. Bertha is no frills sit down and eat a great Cuban. The restaurant is very clean. It is a small place that is not a corporation. Bertha is good people.

Had a pressed corned beef sandwich on Cuban bread and it was amazing. I’m from the Northeast, so I was glad to be able to get a good corned beef sandwich down here.

Berta is amazing!! Cuban with pork is the best in the area. I eat here for lunch at least once a week. Very friendly and great customer service. Highly recommend!

If you don't know it's here, you'll drive right by it. And you'll be sorry you missed Berta and her fine sandwiches. On our initial visit, we had the pastrami and roast beef sandwiches. Both were very tasty and the pastrami was extra lean. We wanted the meatloaf sandwich but apparently it's very popular, because when we visited, they were out of meatloaf. I'll have to try again earlier in the week as opposed to Saturday. Interesting signage throughout the place. Adds to the "mom and pop" ambiance that's so hard to find nowadays. Can't wait for our next visit.

Yo you guys should STOP making sandwiches.. yall don’t know how to make a Cuban sandwich.. look at this disgrace.. why is there no turkey, American cheese, so little lettuce and 2 tomatoes in the whole large sandwich.. im never coming here again like yall CANT be from florida.. let alone Tampa.. yall just pissed me off with this sandwich.. imma give this to a homeless person..
