First Ever Authentic Bangladeshi Restaurant in Tampa! Came across this newly opened restaurant and was blown away by the authenticity of the dishes the restaurant had to offer. Tried their Polao Roast and Cicken Cashewnut Salad, it was almost a trip back to Bangladesh! Will definitely be back to try more dishes. The owner was very courteous and had a good time in the restaurant. 10/10 would suggest, just a heads up to go there with an empty stomach, because you definitely would want to try out more than one entree!

Mustafa Halal Grill & Gravy If you’re searching for truly authentic Pakistani and Bangladeshi in 7819 N 56th St, Tampa, FL 33617, look no further than Mostafa Halal Grill & Gravy. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and inviting aromas set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is a celebration of traditional flavors, crafted with care and high-quality ingredients. I tried the Beef Rezela, Shahi Chicken roast and Fish it was nothing short of exceptional—perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and bursting with authentic flavors. The peri peri chicken and chai was equally impressive, with a rich depth of taste that transported me straight to Pakistan and Bangladesh Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. The staff was not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the dishes, happily recommending options and sharing insights about their preparation. The attention to detail in both presentation and hospitality made the meal even more enjoyable. Mostafa Halal Grill & Gravy delivers an experience that feels both genuine and special. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy real, authentic flavors in a welcoming setting.

Delicious food with authentic flavors! This restaurant specializes in Bangladeshi-style Indian cuisine, and all their meats are Halal, which is a great plus. Our group of 3 adults and 3 kids had a variety of dishes, and everyone had something to say about how good the food was. One of the kids only had fries, but I kept sneaking some because they were so tasty! The curry beef was incredibly flavorful and tender, cooked to perfection. The stewed fried chicken with sweet chili sauce was another standout dish. The laccha paratha was flaky and paired perfectly with the curry beef. This is a fantastic mom-and-pop restaurant with delicious food and great service. I highly recommend giving it a try!

First Bangladeshi restaurant in Tampa. Real Desi flavour and taste on point. Amazing hospitality and friendly owners made the time spent, wonderful. If you want to try authentic Biye Barir khabar, then this is the spot. Beef Rezala was my favorite 💯 and so was the chaa ☕️.

Wonderful experience! We checked them out as they are brand new. We were overwhelmed with the service they gave us- they let us try some oxtail, some lamb shank, and some chicken it was all delicious. I ordered the beef butter masala and the Lebanese chicken and the flavors are incredible. Very authentic and very delicious. A homemade taste with generous portions! Highly recommend and will be returning

The food was awesome with pure bangladeshi test. I am glad to find this gem. I tried beef tehari, cashew nut salad, and mutton biriyani. Every items were spot on. I loved the tea, too. But the sugar was premixed. I would love it without sugar and add my own level of sugar. I loved the hospitality and environment. Definitely plan to go back to get my week-long meals. Looking forward to try and savor many more items.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on January 1st, 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience! Every dish we tried was a masterpiece. From the Shahi Lamb Roast, Shahi Chicken Roast Polao, and Shahi Beef Tehari to the Shahi Mutton Biryani, Fatty Nihari, and Chicken Cashew Nut Salad, each item was bursting with authentic flavors. The highlights for us were the Shahi Chicken Roast Polao, Fatty Nihari, and Shahi Lamb Roast – absolutely divine and a must-try! If you’re craving the true taste of Bangladeshi cuisine in Florida, this is the place to visit. The hospitality was just as remarkable as the food – warm, welcoming, and attentive. This restaurant has won our hearts, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

I admit, I know very little about Bangladesh or it's food, but I know what I like. This, I like alot. Out and about I was in an area of Tampa that had the word halal in many places. Halal means food that can be consumed by Muslims due to its method of preperation. Kinda like kosher for Jews. As I was visiting next door my curiosity drew me to this place. I had no intention of buying anything but the most effusive greetings one could expect met me at the door. I felt compelled to buy something and my gut agreed. I took it for Indian food and much of it is I suspect since Bangladesh borders India on the Bay of Bengal. The menu wss extensive so I jumped at the suggestion of lamb shank and took a to go box home with me. Later I tried it and wow, I loved it. Surprised me. I know very little about this type of food, just the more basic dishes one encounters. However, when I looked into the place, Mostafa's Halal had a solid 5 star rating from EVERYONE, and now me. I do know I will be back to try a few more dishes, you should come get ya some. Hidden gem.

Probably the only proper Bangladeshi restaurant in Tampa, the food’s amazing however it is a bit expensive at least compared to the more experienced Bangladeshi restaurants in NYC. Went there 3 times in a month already and planning my next visit!
