Corteza Tecate Reviews
So glad we found this place. Everything was delicious. Freshly made, quality ingredients, and polite service. Definitely recommend and will come back! Best of all, it was pet friendly. Music playing but quiet so our group can chat. Seating inside and outside with cool AC. Clean restrooms and complimentary feminine products. Just leave a tip. No parking lot, so you'll have to park on the street.
My favourite cafe in Tecate! Their food, drinks and service are all amazing. They have lots of seating and a great patio, paired with their free wifi it’s a great place to study/get computer work done. Would highly recommend their Rolo de Canela, Pita de Res and their burgers
The BEST CAPPUCCINO EVER!!! We found this place a while ago, and every time we travel around the area WE HAVE TO STOP AND GRAB A CAPPUCCINO. We did get surprised by the small size of the drink, but once you take a sip of the coffee, you understand that this is the way real cappuccinos should be. If you love coffee, give this place a try, you will not regret it.
Espresso Americano too weak for a coffee. It tasted watered down. Hopefully next time better. Coffee has improved and pastries too. Service was good but a little on the slow side, but worth the wait. Will definitely come back
We stopped for a quick snack. Nice teas! Excellent fries! The sandwiches were okay. My wife liked the salad. The following day my wife decided to have breakfast. The omelletes were good. The chilaquiles were hot. I will go back for breakfast 🥞.
My wife and I had breakfast here on 5/9/2021. This is a very hip/trendy location. It is like a typical coffee shop you would find in Portland, Oregon or San Diego, California. They do serve a limited breakfast menu, but really, this place is first and foremost, a coffee shop. I had a Mocha and my wife had a Cappuccino. The food was just ok, nothing bad and nothing amazing. We both had Chilaquiles with red sauce. This a must try location for coffee lovers, hipsters and trendy people. This really isn't our style or our type of place. So we probably won't be going back, but, I do recommend.
When I visit Tecate, I love coming here with my friends for a nice drink. Their drinks are decent and food is pretty good. Unfortunately, as of late, their costumer service has been… terrible. I understand dealing with people can be tiring, but it seems that the employees hate working here. When I asked for an extra straw, for a drink or simply wanted to order, I was continuously told “i’ll be right there,” and was ignored. I had to walk to the counter and order myself multiple times for on separate occasions. Mind you, the place wasn’t even busy. It’s a shame that such a quaint and cozy cafe like Corteza has such awful service. I, sadly, won’t be visiting anymore.
Came for a final breakfast after a nice weekend in Tijuana . It was my second time I came back because the first time was pure excellence . This time around was a disgrace instead of a good morning I was welcomed with a the only chilaquiles we have is green chilaquiles not a big fan but I wanted chilaquiles after waiting 15 min for the server to come take order she said the chilaquiles were not available anymore. After that ordered huevos al gusto huevos estrellados with the yolk cook 3/4 . After 35 min the brought the order wrong and the had to rush my eggs . It was a horrible dish undercooked egg whites yolks were runny . Asked for avocado not available. The server never came back to check if we need more drinks . Horrible experience avoid this place at all cost .
Pretty place, super cold, not just the place; the people was very rude, they made us feel uncomfortable, we wanted dessert and coffee we ended up just taking coffee to go. Do you want to go to a place where you don't feel welcome? Come here. Horrible service, I felt like I was in Starbucks trying to order while smelling like a homeless person. Fist thing she said was - "Can I help you with something?" But with the tone they would use if you are in a place you shouldn't be, like the staff office or something - "Do we order here or should we go sit?" (Because of her tone) - "Here" (same annoyance in her voice) - "We would like some coffee" (she never gave is the menu - "Which one?" (There's no menu anywhere!) - "I don't know, do you have a menu"? After that it went downhill... just don't go there, Bocachis has better coffee anyway
