Kit Fox Cafe Tecopa Reviews
The Cafe is seasonal, food is delicious and fresh made. A variety of pastries available. Hosare really great folks
It’s a quaint place, very friendly felt like I was at home. Pizza was great and a good selection of beers
Very nice pizza, slightly charred crust, just as I like it. Nice range of toppings. (We had one with sausage + mushroom + red sauce and one white pizza with garlic + spinach + olive oil. Both were very good). No alcohol, and the brewery next door was closed the day we visited. There is a road runner and a rock wren that hang out and ask for treats. Where else are you going to find those?
Tacopa is the very definition of bfe, and I came with enough groceries to last the week expecting no good options locally. When I checked in the cafe was recommended to me and now I am recommending to everyone. They make their own bagels and pie crust. Probably had the best BLT I've ever had here. I will update this when I get to try breakfast and coffee, but I am super impressed. Finding it here is as surprising as a unicorn.
Every time I go to Tecopa, I stop here and get something, anything, if I'm hungry or not, it doesn't matter, why? Because every time is such a delicious experience!!! And I'd eat an entire pizza 😅 or enjoy a sweet hot chocolate on a cold night. They have many options and they always have attention to detail as well as a chill and comfortable ambience.
Courtney and John are 2 wonderful people. Great business owners. The baked goods are FANTASTIC. AWESOME PIZZA. BEST SCONES in west. I buy them out everytime we visit. A MUST STOP when in Tecopa.
Have had lunch at The Kit Fox Cafe a few times when passing through. It is well worth the stop! Everything I’ve had from here has been great! Really good homemade bread on sandwiches. BLT is really good!! And the pizza with the sourdough crust is worth a drive over from Vegas. Truly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten!
Zero expectations , 5 star pizza Ate here otw back to LA from Death Valley. Kudos to the staff with a long beard. He handled the cashier and made one of the best pizza I had. Literally a 1 man show. Give him a raise!
Heard about Kit Fox from Sarah from China Ranch Date Farm. Stopped in for a bite. We ordered a vegan caprese and a regular caprese sandwich, chai tea and Courtney, one of the owners, said coffee cake and walnut chocolate cookie were just done baking in the oven. How could we say no to that? It's a quaint little spot. Reminds me of the mom and pops in Hawaii. Courtney's husband, John, cooks the pizza for the restaurant while Courtney makes the sandwiches and the coffees and teas. The sandwiches were delicious. The homemade foccaia bread and the pesto was amazing. Everything is made in house. The baked goods tasted really good and like mom makes. Will definitely be back to visit soon!
What a finding. Who would have thought? Just came back from Italy and this pizza in the middle of the desert rocks. Even the salad with crostini rocks! Incredible. And a fantastic micro brewery next door? Tacopa is happening!
It had one of the best dinners I had ever had I when I went there the next morning it was the best breakfast I had ever had I highly recommend best restaurant I have ever been to the vibe was so cool I could play corn hole with my brother and bond everyone was so nice to
Wonderful Place. Me and my husband were in death valley for the long weekend. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We are vegetarians and I loved the fact that the cafe had so many vegan/ vegetarian options. We ordered a soba noodle salad, a slice of cheese pizza, 2 bagels with cream cheese and 2 garlic and spinach calazones. The food was very fresh and yum! The bagels were the tastiest I've ever eaten. The calazones were actually skull shaped. I could see so much thought and creativity in everything I ate. We were so happy with our breakfast that we came back for dinner on the same day! There wasn't a lot left as we went when it was almost closing time but the chef was extremely kind to serve us fresh tomato soup, soba noodle salad and a calazone which I devoured. Huge shout-out to the entire staff running this place and I'd definitely highly recommend it!
I tried the BLT, it was delicious. They also had really good apple juice. the lady that helped me was super kind and easy on the eyes. Thanks for the hot spring directions.
A very delightful little spot! We had the Golden Milk Latte, the Chai Tea Latte and the Hot Chocolate along with a blueberry scone. All the drinks were delicious. I really enjoyed my Golden Milk latte. I could taste the bits of ginger. The scone was soft and fresh. We are excited to return.
this bakery cafe is amazing, the spinach garlic calzone was superb, the mint smoothie was divine, the sunflower seed cookie was special. the berry scone was not too sweet and wonderful. next time we will get more and bring some home to Las Vegas for the people we love. the couple was fun to talk with also. special place.
This amazing stop by Death Valley offers delicious food in a unique atmosphere. They make everything there, baked goods, pizza, soup...yum. I love the pizza, but also the soups and especially the sour dough cinnamon rolls on Sundays. They have coffee, indoor and patio seating. They share a building with a brewery. The patio is dog friendly. There's plenty of free parking. Pack your patience when it's busy, they don't have a big staff. They close for summer. Stop by for a break from the road while touring Death Valley or drive out from Vegas for the day. This food is worth a visit.
This is a must stop in the area! We were exploring Death Valley and went a little bit out of our way to come here based on reviews and it was so worth it. The owners were so kind and hospitable but the pizza was totally the real star!!! We all devoured it while enjoying some excellent beers from the brewery next door on the nice porch. The entire menu looked great, but trust me, get the pizza!
This place is amazing . We are staying just down the road for a couple days. We came here last night for dinner and this morning for breakfast. For dinner, we had wood fired pizza with homemade crust and delectable ingredients! We also had locally brewed craft drinks! I had a hard ginger soda which was delicious, and my husband had a Baltic porter. I have never tried a Baltic porter before, and it was delicious. Very smooth taste with a little perk. Very interesting and delightful to drink. For breakfast, I had the best quiche I have ever had! My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it likewise was wonderful. The staff and service are amazing! We will look forward to to our next trip out here.
We had the white spinach pizza and it was exactly how my mother in law used to make it! We grew up eating pizza in New Haven CT and believe me, this pizza stands up to that. The crust was perfectly charred and had great flavor. This is worth driving out of your way to enjoy a great meat in a nice comfortable atmosphere. We stopped in for a beer next door, which was also very good, and he got us this pizza. Amazing!!
Great place, friendly people all around! Our kids also got some complementary cookies which we appreciated:)
I recently visited Kit Fox Coffee and I have to say, it was absolutely amazing! The homemade food was delicious and the wood-fired pizza was simply incredible. But what really made this place stand out was the owner - she was an absolute sweetheart and made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere of Kit Fox Coffee was cozy and charming, with a rustic feel that added to the overall experience. I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and the comfortable seating options. It was a great place to relax and enjoy some amazing food and coffee. The wood-fired pizza was definitely a highlight of our visit. The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. It was obvious that a lot of care and attention went into making it. The homemade food was equally delicious. It was evident that the ingredients were fresh and carefully chosen. It was great to see such attention to detail in the preparation of the food. Overall, I would highly recommend Kit Fox Coffee to anyone looking for a great coffee and dining experience. The owner's kindness and warmth really made our visit extra special, and the homemade food and wood-fired pizza were simply amazing. I can't wait to visit again soon!
I came on a Thursday and was happy to know the pizza oven was going! The staff was awesome, welcoming, and the food was delicious. I purposely took the long way home after hiking around Death Valley just to stop by here. My friend grabbed some sort of salad dish and loved it. Another pal grabbed a spinach type pizza and loved it too. Nothing but good things to say about this spot!
I’m not lying when I say I’ve traveled the world in search of the perfect pizza. I never thought I’d find it in the middle of the desert, but here we are. It’s fresh, delicious, cooked perfect, great price, and perfect ingredients. If you’re within an hour of this place, i promise it’s worth the drive.
I don't even know where to begin. I have a pretty restricted diet being a gluten-free vegetarian. I don't really enjoy eating out and have gotten semi used to food that resembles cardboard. We decided to check out the hot springs over the weekend, but the highlight of our trip was popping into The Kit Fox Cafe. The plant-based BLT on GF bread was beyond amazing. It was so good (literally the best sandwich I've had in a decade) that we went back for breakfast and then ordered a bunch of food to go. The ambiance of the cafe was warm and inviting. The service was also fantastic. We will definitely be back!!
Wonderful coffees, breakfasts and wood fired pizzas. Had the avocado toast on foccia bread with an egg and is was delish.
We love basically everything on the menu. The pizza is always delicious, and the baked goods are too die for! My favorite is the breakfast sandwich with sausage, but the BLT was a close second. she makes all of the breads and biscuits and they’re all just too good for words to describe. I also love the coffee and Sunday Cinnamon rolls. A must stop if you’re in the area!!!
Coming from a New Yorker - their pie is expensive at $24 but the Heart Attack is one of the best wood-fired pizzas I’ve had! Death Valley Brewing next door has equally amazing beer - red is my go-to.
Absolutely delicious pizza and cookies! Also, the staff was warm and welcoming. I'm glad I made this stop. 😊

great food, small town cafe atmosphere, very good pizza. definitely recommended.
Great little place in the middle of nowhere with great food and espresso. Definitely make time for this place.

Fantastic cafe ! Serving great food -made with Organic house made sour dough bread. Gluten free options for wood fired pizza are available and they serve excellent coffee. Lots of vegetarian options! Nice ambience in the middle of a gorgeous desert landscape.
Amazing place. Amazing staff and service. Had the Heart Attack pizza 2 days in a row after long bike rides. What a treat. Some of the absolute best pizza ever. Thank you for being there! Looking forward to a return visit.
Such a cozy spot! We stopped at The Kit Fox Cafe on our way from LA to Vegas and honestly felt like visiting family. The owners are the sweetest people — they even fired up the oven early just for us. The pizza was sooo good — Hawaiian (our fave!), Four Cheese, and BBQ — all fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Super chill vibe, great people, amazing food. Definitely our go-to stop every trip! 🍕💛
Super chill and everything is made so fresh! The pizza is delish but don't be afraid to get a sandwich on the best focaccia you'll ever have! Coffee is great too.
I didn't think that Tecopa could get any cooler, and then the Kit Fox Cafe appears a few year ago and the cool cup run over! WOW, an amazing, delicious, healthy and unique menu, great coffee, friendly service in an awesome location near hot springs, so much to love love LOVE! I've brought many friends here from the dunes (Dumont) with much success, even Vegan Jimmy loved it! A big bonus is the brewery next door. You can order up a meal at the Kit Fox and then bring your food over to you, or you can select a seat at Death Valley brewery and order up some pub food to enjoy there (I believe they share the same kitchen). My mouth is watering just thinking of my next trip in a week. See you soon!
Such a cute little cafe. Delicious food and coffee! Had the bagel breakfast sandwich and a blueberry scone with butterscotch lattes. The woman holding down the fort was kind and lovely.
This is a must stop place. The homemade chai and goldenmilk are my favorite (after the cinnamon rolls). These are not store bought in anyway but actually fresh cut tumeric, ginger, etc. It is precious. I live in Vegas and gladly drive out with visiting family for Kit Fox, the date ranch, hot springs, and brewery.
Great litte place in the tiny town of Tecopa. They have great handmade woodfire pizzas amongst other things. Seating is limited but very quaint and comfortable. Great place to end your evening.
After a soak in the nearby hot springs, be sure to stop here to eat. Everything is freshly made. My sister had the caprese sandwich and I had the turkey club with the broccoli cheese soup. The bread is made on site. And they served us next door at the Death Valley Brewery where we had a fantastic porter with our sandwiches. Be sure to take home some of the homemade ginger cookies. So good!
Out of this world! So warm and welcoming every single visit! Everything made here is toooo die for! The drinks and the food and the baked goods. One of a kind experience truly! A gem in the desert and we’re so grateful they are here. We travel from the city to come here every fall, winter and spring. We Love You Kit Fox Cafe 🦊♥️☕️🍕
It's amazing what can come out of the kitchen of a tiny, remote little cafe just like the Kit Fox Cafe. We absolutely loved our food on a recent visit and are looking forward to visiting again. The pizza was incredible and rivaled any we've had in the big city where we live, and the cream of mushroom soup was next level. You are able to take the food next door to the brewery if you'd like to have a beer with lunch, which is exactly what we did. Honestly do yourself a favor and stop here if you're anywhere nearby. You won't be disappointed.

Finding this healthy food in such a remote area was great. Organic and tastey Pizza (arugula and Preciutto) was excellent. My friend got a different pie that was also great. Next door in the same building is a craft beer bar that had a pretty tastey beer to. This place also serves breakfast which web had the next morning. The sausage / egg biscuit was amazing. I also enjoyed a Mocha that was solid. The prices are quite expensive even for organic food but when you're in the desert riding motorcycles for days, it's a good find. Side note, when asked if I could fill up my Camelback with water I was told to go buy some water down at the city Reverse osmosis station. Maybe they were looking out for me, maybe not No explanation given.
Updated comment due to Facebook not removing this businesses hate speach: Maybe you should get your story right before you go accusing me of things along with the brewery. I'm the one that called the police on Dan from the brewery. No! They did not limit me on my actions. I was confronted by Dan in a rude and scary situation on unposted property. The only reason why I was trespassed from the brewery business is because I protected my self. Now that we have the truth out there I don't ever need to use your over priced businesses in the future. Goodbye and good riddance! Maybe also you should take your sign down that encourages people to stop when your closed for the off season!
