E.A.T. Temecula Reviews
E.A.T. Marketplace in Old Town Temecula is a charming spot with delicious pastries, a solid menu, and an inviting atmosphere. Tip: There are two lines—one for pastries and to-go items, and another for food from the menu. My wife and I recently revisited E.A.T. Marketplace, and it was awesome to see that everything was just as great as last time. The staff is warm and welcoming, and all of their bakery items are gluten-free, which is such a rare and wonderful find. Highly recommend stopping in whenever you’re in Temecula. On our most recent Sunday breakfast, we tried both sides of the menu. From the to-go line, we grabbed a bacon and cheese egg biscuit and a maple and pecan doughnut. Both were tasty, but the standout was the ABC bagel sandwich we ordered from the food line. The bread was perfectly toasty, the ingredients fresh, and it all came together in a way that made it our favorite of the day—though a little hot sauce would’ve made it even better. The maple and pecan doughnut hit the perfect balance of sweet, with the pecans adding a satisfying crunch. We also appreciated the ample seating, both indoors and outdoors. Even though it was busy on a Sunday morning, we found a table outside and enjoyed the energy and views of Old Town Temecula. Overall, E.A.T. Marketplace continues to deliver—great food, friendly staff, and a vibrant atmosphere. Definitely one of our top recommendations in Temecula.
Great marketplace and diner! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as a wide variety for "meat-a-saurs." Friendly, fast service with great selections. Short walking distance to Old Town Temecula. We enjoyed their Plant Based ECO breakfast. Excellent! So many good and drink options as well as many market goods. This will be our "go to" place when we visit Old Town Temecula!
This coffee shop in Temecula Valley, is by far one of my favorites when passing thru this area! Their menu is both plant based and mainstream dishes alike; with an ultra clean shop, and super sweet and helpful staff. My favorite treat other than a hot vanilla almond mylk latte, is getting one of their delectable vegan gluten-free donuts. They have some traditional flavors, but also unique seasonal ones. Including a blood orange, blueberry, maple pecan, orange chamomile and lemon lavender, (that was jus some from todays' visit); not to mention all the other pastries they have all look delicious, most of which adhere to dietary restrictions in some way. The Cafe is usually busy on weekends, but always running smoothly and never a long wait. On a weekday its the perfect place to come an get a few items of work done, will be back again for another amazing donut soon!
My beautiful daughter brought me here to E.A.T. Marketplace in Temecula Ca to try their yummy breakfast. I ordered their bomb French toast! I usually don’t like bread much less French toast but my daughter told me that I just had to try it and man am I glad that I did! It was literally the best French toast I’ve ever had!! 💯🤤😋 It was light and crispy and the fresh fruit topped it off perfectly. With a side of crispy bacon and some fresh Orange Juice made for a perfect breakfast! My daughter ordered their steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired with the crispy potatoes and eggs were all yummy but what really set this plate apart from all of the others was their yummy chimichurri sauce that goes over the steak! It was so good!! 😋 She also ordered a fresh cup of cappuccino. I think that’s what it is. Lol. Anyways if you’re in the Temecula area and are looking for a great breakfast restaurant them up should try this place! E.A.T Marketplace has fresh food friendly service and a clean establishment. You just can’t go wrong! We give it a thumbs up! 😁👍
I don’t get there that often these days but fell in love with them while shooting photos of their Grand Opening. Great food. Fun atmosphere. Cute gift area. Relaxed low key and healthy food. Country scramble was delicious and beautifully plated. Wish I had my big girl camera with me!!!
Wow, this was so fresh and delicious! I work out in the field doing Environmental Sustainability Audits and I was going to pick up lunch from the other common places, but on February 9th, I decided to take a risk to try this place. I let the cashier know it was my first time and I was feeling like a sandwich like a BLT, she recommended one and I asked for the light sauce since it was going to be my first time trying the sandwich. I also asked about the cheese because the name didn't seem like I have tried it before. She said it was really good so I took her word. I paid extra for the Sicily Salad, and I believe the owner or manager gave me the house salad and the dressing to try as extra. When they handed my order she let me know they wanted me to have the other salad too so I can try it. Wow, again this place went above for me. While I waited for my food, I went to the other side to order a refresher. I noticed the cashier was preparing more teas or refreshers. This made me feel that everything is organic and properly done. I ordered a Berry and Strawberry Refresher. It was not sweet and they put huge Strawberries and enough Blueberries inside. Let me go back to the food, the sandwich was BOMB, the bread soft and it had Avocado, bacon, and just everything else that made me appreciate the freshness and quality. I plan to go back to take my sister-in-law after one of our hikes. I have to add that they had a ding dong and a few other pastries that caught my eye. The atmosphere inside is welcoming and very unique. Thank you to those who helped me and gave me an awesome first-time experience! Plus for taking pride in sustainability and local foods.
Fantastic Dining Experience 1st, parking is limited, but we were lucky and found one immediately. 2nd, you are not seated. Menus are off to the side and you order all your items, smoothies, coffee, pastry items too, at the counter when you order food. You also seat yourself and grab your utensils. On the weekends, their breakfast menu is extended until 3pm. This establishment cooks with locally grown, organic ingredients and offers a wide variety of dishes. From the time of placing our order to delivery of food took between 15 - 20 minutes. It came out hot, delicious and fresh!! Everything tasted AMAZING and my family and I are definitely coming back. Staff was attentive, friendly, courteous and engaged in polite conversation everytime they visited our table. We found our new breakfast place!
First time here. Food was good. Had toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes. It was pretty tasty. Tried the churro donut, it was better than I expected. The cashier was distracted and didn’t acknowledge me for a few minutes, I just needed a to go box. All she said was I’ll be right with you. The other two workers did not seem to be happy with her. All 3 were not smiling. The first person who took our order was friendly! I appreciate that! I tried the Chai, it was okay.
OMG! Their food is fabulous! Their menu items are unique and delicious! My friend and I shared the gluten-free pancakes with almond butter, granola and fresh fruit. I’ve never had anything gluten free and this was tasty. It gave the pancakes an interesting texture. We also enjoyed the ecoculture with the eggs over medium, bacon, rosemary rustic potatoes and homemade sourdough toast. So onoliscious! That's Hawaiian for delicious! I liked their bakery and shop. I purchased some avocado leaf peach herbal tea which was very tasty. The only 2 things I didn’t like was that I couldn’t pay with cash. I hate when I’m forced to use a credit card. I also didn’t like that when I ordered hot tea it was a one shot deal. It was $4.59 for 8 ounces of hot tea. I can see a latte costing that much but for tea?! If I had known that I wouldn’t have ordered it. Other than that this restaurant was wonderful. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.
Ended up here for brunch on a Sunday... the service was rather slow and felt ignored overall by our server. The food was good tasting but was VERY expensive for portion size and spent nearly $50 on breakfast for two people. Overall I was not very impressed and will not be going back. The price point for everything was just a bit too high and was annoyed by the $3 charge to add a few strips of bacon to a dish. *edits in* I can't figure out how to reply to the owner's response below so I'm clarifying some things in an edit - I stick by my 3/5 rating still. Yes, the food was good - it was a solid 4/5 for percieved freshness and flavor BUT the wait staff experience was a 2/5. I averaged the experiences to give the original 3/5 rating. The comment about the price of adding bacon was because comments like that are valuable to me as a reviewer and think it could be useful to others. This isn't about a side of bacon however. While I greatly respect the owners comments about living wages and wholeheartedly support this mission, I wish it had been communicated better to myself as I was a first time visitor of the restaurant. I might have had different expectations of the whole dining experience if I had been able to fully conceptualize why the prices are listed as they are currently. I do acknowledge that some of the partnering farms were listed on part of the menu but would have liked a more active explanation in case I skimmed passed something important.
First time trying this place and I was honestly impressed!! I got a vanilla latte (half sweet), a java chip donut, and an ABC bagel sandwich. The coffee wasn’t good at all but maybe that’s because I got it half sweet. I loved the donut and ABC bagel a lot. I only rate it 3 instead of 4 stars because it was super pricey! But overall solid breakfast and coffee spot in town
My first time here and I have to start off with warning you. They only take electronic style payments. and that is a gigantic problem for somebody like me. I do have to say the gluten free pastries are very good. The coffee sucked really bad there was 4 of us, we got 4 different types of coffee and none of us could drink them. the other breakfast food Items we got we're not very good. and very expensive. The doughnuts might be some of the best gluten-free pastries. You can get. The other problem here, other than not being able to buy my food with My own money. And having to have my friend pay for it. The people working there definitely have very stern grumpy and not real happy to be at their job attitudes. You also cannot rate a place From the people hanging out there .but it is a bit of a trendy crowd. If you're not in the click, they definitely let you know. And they may cater to that type of crowd. That's why us normal people, the don't have the latest trendy electronic payment style.Have a hard time buying some of them very good gluten , free pastries.
The good: The young lady who rung us up and the barista were very nice. The two coffees we had were well made and at a good temperature. The bad: The food is just okay. The menu is vegan heavy, so you have to request real eggs if you order any of the breakfast stuff. The potatoes in the breakfast bowl are served ice cold. Yuck! The ugly : $53 breakfast for two is highway robbery.
As a former fine dining pastry chef with experience in Michelin Guide restaurants, I can say their pastries are genuinely good and their pancakes are outstanding. However, their savory menu falls short. My most recent visit was very disappointing — the food was overly greasy and heavy, the salmon overcooked and dry, and overall, it simply lacked flavor. Considering we were among the first customers on a weekend morning, I expected better quality and more attention to detail — especially something as basic as controlling the amount of fat in a dish. On the bright side, the coffee and service are excellent. I recommend visiting for their pastries, particularly the fig–vanilla donut, which was absolutely amazing.
Twice now we’ve come here. Once one hour before they closed the coffee bar and another time two hours before the coffee bar was closed. Both times the coffee was cold and didn’t fill up the whole cup and had to argue back and forth to get them to make more. Their excuse was “well we’re closing soon”. Really poor customer service just to get a cup of coffee. Their service for food is also incredibly slow both times. Super disappointing for a place that has otherwise good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately a growing problem with a generation that’s exceedingly unmotivated. I say that as someone who’s apart of said generation. To add to this the younger server responded with “yeahhh I don’t really know” when we asked for a clean spoon because there was nothing to stir the coffee with. I mean come on. So ridiculous. Finally he did get a spoon after pretty much telling him to figure it out. I’d also add his expensive this restaurant is. $20 for a soup and a sandwich! Insane. Old Town Deli is a much better alternative with owners who care.
