Phoenix Kitchen Temple City Reviews
The food and service are always top notch. This is why we keep coming back. Basil fish is my favorite. The drinks and desserts are good too.
Chicken wings here are SO GOOD!!! We were a large party coming in within an hour of closing after forming from a graduation and they were able to accommodate us fast and efficiently. From getting the bill out to getting proper boxes for everything they were on it! They had great porridge and wonton noodles as shown below too. Definitely get the wings, skip out on the fried rice it’s same as everywhere else.
Great tasting food for a good price. Big serving, so got some take out. Dont have to wait long for the food, good customer service and loved the durian roll!
Delicious food and excellent customer service. Comfortable seating! Been here 2 times and will be back! :)
Great food at reasonable prices. Love the walnut shrimp and many other dishes.

I ordered the bogo deal, buy 1 get 1 free Love the durian mochi rolls. Sweet level was right, not too too sweet.
I am here at Phoenix Kitchen, Temple City 2-4 per month. The food is always fresh and nicely season. The staff is friendly and service is fast. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. 👍👍👍

The $45 combo is really good. Delicious food and very reasonable price.

Ordered ahead through the app and seamless pickup as the food was ready for take out upon arrival.
Good franchise location. Very quiet most of the time. Food is freaking hot every time not sure how they can keep doing this on a consistent basis. Prices are average. Key thing would be it's the same price lunch or dinner so no point rush here for lunch. Come for dinner if you must. Other places have lunch specials. Don't look here for that. The setting is fast food but you get table service. I was confused the first time ordering at the cashier for dining in. Seat down at any table to start for dine in. Parking is around the back from an alley way. There is a narrow patio if you must sit outside between the buildings perpendicular to the street. Ordering pan fried stuff like noodle and rice you could hear your food being cooked in the kitchen as the layout passes the roaring fire and the banging of the wok to the dining hall. Then for the average day, food is delivered immediately to your table. There is no wait in between. So for the sake of your tongue, eat carefully because it always and only burns after you put the food in your mouth. The shredded pork pan fried noodle looked innocent but nuked my tongue. The noodle was cool enough to handle but as soon as the sauce with the meat touches your mouth, sirens go off in your brain and realize it's freaking freaking hot hot!
This place is consistently good. Their tangerine fish is delicious as are their rice dishes. Their shrimp rolls are also awesome. And if you want something sweet, please order a box of the Russian Tea Cookies. Really delicious. However, I don't recommend the duck. It is never well prepared.
This is my first time coming here and I like it. I almost missed it but my GPS saved the day. The restaurant is not huge but pretty spacious. Its interior design is simple but makes me feel comfortable. My friend and I arrived a little after 1:00 PM and there wasn't a lot of people. I ordered Mapo tofu with pork and it tasted pretty good, and the service there was decent. My complain is that the food portion is small.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Just hope the owner will fix the AC as it’s not comfortable dining in when it’s over 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
Nestled in the heart of Arcadia, Phoenix Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through Southern Chinese desserts and Cantonese comfort food. As a frequent patron, it has become my go-to destination whenever cravings for authentic Cantonese flavors arise. One of the highlights of Phoenix Restaurant is their traditional approach to crafting dishes, exemplified by their exquisite red bean paste soup. Cooked using the time-honored method with dried orange peel and lotus seeds, this dessert embodies nostalgia with every spoonful. The texture of the red bean paste is impeccably balanced, meeting my discerning taste preferences perfectly. For those seeking a savory indulgence, the Yandchow fried rice stands out as a quintessential comfort dish. Bursting with flavor and expertly prepared, each bite offers a comforting embrace reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Whether enjoyed as a standalone delight or paired with other Cantonese classics, the Yandchow fried rice never fails to impress. Beyond the culinary delights, Phoenix Restaurant prides itself on exceptional service that adds to the overall dining experience. Attentive staff members ensure that every visit is met with warmth and efficiency, enhancing the ambiance of the restaurant. Moreover, the reasonable prices at Phoenix Restaurant make it an accessible option for both casual dining and special occasions. With quality cuisine at affordable rates, patrons can indulge in authentic Cantonese fare without breaking the bank.

Unripe mango on dessert. Hard and sour😡
The food and atmosphere were great, but my experience was soured by an incident after dinner. Due to being strapped for cash, I left a modest tip. The waitress, a chubby Chinese woman in her 30s with limited English, picked up the receipt, showed it to the staff, and slammed it back on the table in a mocking way. This happened at 8:30 PM on July 8. I felt embarrassed and unappreciated. I understand it wasn’t much, but it was still a tip. It left me wondering how others who can’t tip at all might be treated.
I wanted to love this place but I left partially let down. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the cook is patient. But, my order of fried chicken fried rice was undercooked which I had to ask them to take back. I'm no expert but the chicken seemed pink and I didn't want to risk it. Besides that the dessert was good and I kept it safe and enjoyed the durian rolls instead. I'm glad this place is a short distance if not I think I'd be more affected if I had drove a long way here.

Foods here are not bad. I like the atmosphere. Price reasonable. Good customer service 👍 Additional review: 8-10-25, I came back here for the same dish I ordered last time and it's a disaster. It's nothing like Homg Kong beef fry thick rice noodles. I really wanted my money back; instead I chose to never come back again. That's how bad it is! 👎

Today, 03/10/2025, (2:00pm), I purchased buy 1 get 1 foods. And when its done, the the portion only half of the regular price food. When i asked the employee, why its only half the size of the regular food, they answer because its on sale buy 1 get 1 free. Is this a scam or fraud ? And i says, in other location they give me a regular size doesn't matter if its on sale, guess what the answer they give me ? Then go to other place, not here. Wow.. amazing answer.
DO NOT get their dessert or drinks from the fridge unless you want to have immediate DIARRHEA. The food in the fridge is more than a week old. A disgustingly terrible taste hits your mouth right as you put it on your tongue. A friend unknowingly ate a few bites and immediately starting to bloat and had constant diarrhea within an hour.
