Potbelly Terminal Reviews
Stopped by Potbelly and had a great experience! The service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. Perfect spot for a satisfying meal on the go.
Maybe I’m jaded, but $15 for a delicious sandwich, bag of chips and an OJ seems like I won the lottery this morning! The staff was welcoming and component in a manner I’ve sadly grown unaccustomed to lately, and again, the steak sandwich was excellent! I don’t travel through IAD often, but if I return, I will absolutely be back here!
I was rushing to my connecting flight and grabbed a BLTA while waiting. Loved the sandwich, it's super packaged with ingredients. Bacon is hot and crispy, bread was warm and toasty. Didn't have the time to take a decent photo of the sandwich as I was SO hungry. Kudos to the staff manning a busy airport!
Had the "Wreck" sandwich and some spicy Voodoo Kettle chips. It was amazing, I would recommend it! Staff were very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.

Got the BLTA and it was delightful. Perfectly toasted sandwich, BLT and the smashed fresh avocado went so well together.

As I was at the Dulles Airport I decided to try Potbelly. There a few selections at gate D and I’ve ate Chic-Fil-A and the usual fast food. The sandwich was not bad, however I tasted more bread than meat. On my sandwhich I had roast beef, bacon, avocado, onion, lettuce, and mayonnaise. Overall, it was decent.
It's a Potbelly's. Sandwiches served warm and toasted are mostly always good. This one in airport is good and is right on time for weary travelers heading out of the country in Concourse B of Dulles Airport.
Good value for the money for soups, sandwiches, shakes, and drinks. I'd give 5 stars if they had better leaves than iceberg lettuce, like spinach or romaine.

Tried to order a turkey avocado sandwich, then told they had no avocado. Then tried to order the pizza sandwich, then told they had no marinera sauce. Since that meant half the menu was unavailable (and why not display that up front?), we walked out.

I ordered the ORG Prime Rib Steak sandwich, and it was very OKAY. It was decent meat but had no flavor to it and was a little dry, even with the cheese it was the most bear bones, generic sandwich I’ve had, for $13 for a sandwich I’d expect something a bit better, maybe with some customizations it could be something great! There was a very long line and the staff worked very quickly and efficiently to get us through! The service was excellent!

Food was good. The three employees working behind the counter were very hostile and rude. They give Potbelly a bad name.
Just ordered a pizza melt on flat bread and after the first bite, I couldn’t even want to have it further. It was warm but the sauce was too watery, and overall tastes like a microwaved food rather than freshly made. Service was basic and could be better as they were talking to each other inside the counter rather than being attentive. I will not come back for sure.
My years as a potbelly customer was driven by consistent quality and taste. At this location they really reduced the meat to the most minimum. It does not have the normal salami in it
Passable food that we had early in the morning while awaiting our flight home. The chicken salad sandwich was pretty great. I also had an eggnog shake that was elite.

employees can’t speak English at all. They put jalapeños on all our sandwiches. Had to pick them off kids’ food. Finally the total was nearly double the posted menu prices.

If there is less than one star I would chose it I honestly can't believe how bad this place was. The staff were incredibly rude and had zero respect for customers. Especially the young lady that was take the orders had the worst attitude.
Did not open until 5am, they arrived at 4:30am no breakfast sandwich’s were available the guy making the sandwich’s was very nice but the cashier was rude dismissive and made customers wait long periods of time before waiting on them
Not much to add: even the best face at the service counter CAN'T help the food. This is NOT a sandwich, not worth the asking price. Atmosphere is irreslevant as nobody eats there: this is a predominantly take-out place. Summary: take your hunger elsewhere. Don't fall for commercials / advertisement / the like.
⭐ 1-Star Review — Potbelly Sandwich Shop (Dulles Airport, Concourse A) In 53 years, I have never written a bad review. But I genuinely feel a moral and legal obligation to share this experience, because what happened was beyond unacceptable. I approached the Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Dulles Airport (1 Saarinen) and immediately encountered what can only be described as the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Three employees stood together talking and completely ignored me. I walked to what looked like the order area — no signage anywhere — past a young man who was the only one actually working. When I finally asked for help, one of the employees snapped at me, in a harsh and dismissive tone, “Do you want to order? Then you need to go back there and order.” No greeting. No assistance. Just attitude. I ordered the Avo Turkey. The key word here being “Avo.” They handed my sandwich off to the toppings employee, who then asked me what toppings I wanted, even though the ingredients were clearly stated on the menu. Then the same rude employee asked, “What did you get?” as if she had paid zero attention to the entire process. That’s when it hit me — they were charging me for the avocado without putting any avocado on the sandwich. When I pointed it out, she begrudgingly unwrapped the sandwich and slapped some on, then reassembled it like she was angry I caught the mistake. I’m sorry, but this felt like a slap in the face to me, to Potbelly Corporate, to their shareholders, to Dulles Airport, and honestly to the entire city of Washington, D.C. This ruined my day and my 6-hour flight. It was like watching an episode of Beavis and Butt-Head — except those two would have provided far better customer service, and at least they’re entertaining. Do better, Potbelly. Much better.
I visited this place on Monday, November 10th, around 2 PM and had a prime rib steak. Since then, I’ve been sick with diarrhea for several days. Others ate similar meals at different times without issues, so this particular meal seems to have caused my discomfort. I hope the team will check food quality and safety.
I honestly can't believe how bad this place was. The staff were incredibly rude and had zero respect for customers. Especially that one employee who had facial hair with a beard and looked afghan or Indian who mentioned he was the boss there and that was his store. It felt like I was bothering them just by being there. To make things worse, the food was awful. It tasted old, greasy, and barely cooked. I left feeling sick and completely disappointed during my whole entire flight. Tables to eat at were not clean at all and were very dirty, this place needs better workers this experience was a disaster. There are plenty of better places to eat such as chick fil a right next to them and five guys right in front of them, if I could leave a zero star review I would. Please don’t waste your time or money here.
