Beautiful experience by La Vega lake. Nice atmosphere, great service and tasty food. I loved the surrounding view by the lake, it brought peace and serenity to us while we ate. Then again we beat the crowd. Lol

This place is perfect for tourists to come for molcajetes after visiting Los Guachimontones and enjoy an amazing view of the lake. Quality: 4 Value: 4 Service: 5 Ambience: 5 We ordered a variety of dishes, and all of them were good, and a couple were GREAT. The service was a tad slow, and the food could have been a bit better, but the view was absolutely amazing - a lake covered in water lilies with herons swooping in and out. The molcajete, either beef (carne asada) or shrimp (camarones) were really, really remarkable, and not at all spicy (picante). The marlin and cheese empanadas were totally weird, just unlike anything I had before - once loaded up with salsa verde, they were awesome. The fish (pescado zarandeado) was good but not the best I have had. The guacomole was also good but not the best.

Shrimp was very juicy and salsa fresh and spicy. Tortilla chips were made by hand and cooked by order.

Kiddie paradise - basically a huge park playground inside. Not a dinner place tho - we showed up at 6:00 and were ushered out under pressure with very limited dishes available. Also check your bill - several items were deliberately marked up.
Food was not great but relatively pricey. Definitely a tourist destination. The view was cool but the restaurant was very very dirty. Server kept forgetting parts of our meal and would take a long time to bring the rest. I imagine people come here once because they’re passing by and don’t come back again.
Nope... Looks nice, guy at the road promised us great food! Terrible service... Food wasn't good... Place looks nice, next to the lake... Will not return.
Food was cold, someone was smoking inside
Location was good. Drinks were excellent as was service. Food however for all of us was not very good. No one in the group would be willing to order the same dish again.
Food was tasteless but the waiter was exelent I'll never go back
