One of the best taco places i have ever visited. I feel like the prices are fair for what you get in flavor. I've visited this spot so many times and I'm trying to find a bad thing on the menu with no luck. The tots are a must every single time. The staff are extremely efficient, respectful and keep this place CLEAN! Sadly I usually come in on my lunch break and can't enjoy the tasty margaritas they have!!! The atmosphere is on point! If it's a lunch break or a dinner date you will enjoy it! It's crazy to think that there is a restaurant right next door that serves brisket, Steaks and Chicken but Velvet taco has them beat on every level. Keep up the amazing work!

The spicy tikka taco is a must-have—packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. I’m also loving the new bowls they’ve added to the menu; such a great option and just as delicious.😋 It’s an awesome place for late-night eats since they’re open late, making it perfect for after-hours hangouts with friends. My wife and I come here very often and always have loved it. It’s consistent and yummy, honestly, what more could you ask for? I’ve tried a lot of things on the menu and never have been disappointed. Always filling, great price point (especially in comparison to places with food way worse), and great atmosphere.

I love Velvet Taco. They have innovative ideas, great flavor, and friendly service. I brought my friends to this location while we were in The Colony during their Dallas area visit. We got the sweet potato taco on WTF special, steak chimichurri taco, red curry coconut queso, tots with a sunny side up egg, chicken tikka bowl, and steak bowl. Everything was amazing, and my friends loved it! Highly recommend!

Love the tacos. Love this location. Easy to order food on app, always ready on time. Tried the new Bowls & it was great. Its more food than the tacos but I think i enjoy the tacos more, it's a classic. But the Bowls are a great addition to the menu as sometimes those are easier to eat on the go & definitely filling!. Kobe smash taco is also awesome. Love the Queso dip. I also love the Cauliflower beer battered taco. Great combination of veggies on it. I tried the rotisserie chicken bowl. It was very delicious. All the flavors from the salsa, crema and gauc. Loved it all. Not a huge fan of the rotisserie chicken. But it's probably one of the healthier options on the menu if you want to avoid fried.

Absolutely fabulous! Try the "Say What" combo because its a great deal and you will be so overwhelmed by the amazing choices on the menu, you won't know where to start! Two tacos, a side, chips, and a drink is a great place to start. Every single one we tried was fantastic. Loved the Indian fusion touch to many of the items. Really appreciated the vegetarian options. Fun vibe in the restaurant. Plan to come back before our trip ends!

Love the new vegan bowl!! We are all picky eaters , this place is perfect for every lifestyle. Tons of vegetarian and vegan options. This location stays pretty busy , but the food and service are always great! Also thank you for BEING OPEN LATE!!!

We were told to come here and boy were we happy we did. The bowls were excellent. My wife got the rotisserie chicken and I got the brisket bowl, they both had guac which was out of this world. This was some of the best food we had in a while and this place will be added to our rotation. The kids chicken strips and tots were good too. The red velvet cake is a must as well.

I got the blackened shrimp bowl. It was so delicious. The bowl was packed. I had enough to put away for later. The ingredients tasted fresh. I’ll def order again!

Great meal at Velvet Taco, Queso & chips was very good. Wife picnic taco and salmon taco was great, the fish was made perfect and wife loved the avocado sauce on the picnic taco. I went with the breakfast taco (served all day BTW) with bacon, tatar tots and eggs in a French toast tortilla (more like a thick crepe) which was different, but I really enjoyed them. Eggs could use salt and pepper and a morning taco without cheese isn't normal, but was great. Everything was great and I look forward to my next visit.

So glad and have to a Velvet taco in our neck of the woods now! It was super yummy! I’ve been to the one in Dallas and that was a super cute location. This one in The colony too is very well done. Food is great, friendly staff, it’s clean and the extra outdoor seating is a plus too! This is going to be our regular spot from now on. Love everything in their menu and their drink & dessert. They have perfected the formula! A must try…

I used to eat there often in early 2025, and it was really good. But here lately, I've tried it once in early 2026, and yikes. The food isn't the same. I'm not sure who cooked that night but the Kobe Burger was too oily, Curry Cheese WAY too thick, and the Seafood Tex-Mex was too spicy. Thanks for reading!

A great spot for delicious tacos and hearty rice bowls! We tried the fried paneer taco, fish and chips, TexMex shrimp taco, and two chicken tikka bowls. Every dish had really nice flavours, and the chicken was especially tender and perfectly cooked. Overall, we had a really good experience here!

We made a quick stop here on our way home, which turned into a longer visit than planned. We ordered the Beer Battered Cauliflower, Nashville Hot Tofu, WTF - Butter Chicken, Corn & Chips, and the Kids’ Tater Tots. My SO really enjoyed the Cauliflower Taco but wasn’t a fan of the Hot Tofu. I found the Butter Chicken Taco delicious — definitely a standout. The kids were happy with their Tater Tots and the Corn & Chips, so that was a win!

The food was not bad… but the music is too loud… we sat outside… we tried the steak bowl, chicken bowl, and their red velvet cake… again not bad… but living as far away as we do… we would not make the drive just for the food

I had the Mex-Cali Shrimp Taco and Spicy Chicken Taco, and both were fantastic! The flavors were bold and well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice and texture. The shrimp taco was especially fresh and flavorful, while the chicken taco brought a great kick. I also tried the guacamole with blue corn chips as a side. While the tacos stole the show, the chips and guac were decent—solid but not the highlight of the meal. Overall, Velvet Taco delivered on taste and quality, especially with their creative taco options. Definitely worth a visit!

First time here, 3 out of 5. Not that anything was bad, just not my thing. I had the Mexi Cali shrimp bowl and it was good, reminded me of a Chipotle type bowl. My wife had the cordiuen blu tacos, and she really liked them. The atmosphere is trendy, and it was busy. There are no chairs, just high stools and short stools, nothing with a back so I was uncomfortable, and we had 6 in our group and since the high table was full, we had to cram in to a small table. Overall, it was ok, if I ever eat Velvet Taco again, it will be take out. But I do think you should give it a try

As soon as I walked up to the register, before I even said a word, the cashier (an Asian lady) asked me if I needed someone who spoke Spanish. I’m Latina, but I found that assumption really uncomfortable and unnecessary. It felt like I was being judged based on my appearance instead of being treated like any other customer. On top of that, when my order arrived, it was the greasiest taco I’ve ever had. It was dripping in oil and honestly hard to enjoy. The flavor wasn’t worth it because the quality just wasn’t there. Overall, Velvet Taco really needs to improve customer service and food quality.

We have been going here for a while. Placed an order for tacos. One of the orders was WTF Mango Thai Chicken. Immediately smelled foul order and I believe the taco was bad. Also, asked for “NO coconut rice” but they did add coconut rice. Disappointed!!!

Super disappointed with the food quality . Ordered seafood taco, kids taco and Korean fried rice bowl. The seafood tacos were okay. Kids taco was full of potato tots and very less chicken and taco was not cooked well. Just taco, potato tots, a small chicken tender, and some cheese on top . Very shitty taco, I don't know why they called it a taco in first place. Bowl was equally bad - some part of the rice was not properly cooked, I literally got cold rice grain chunks in the bowl - chew it and might need to visit dentist . Pulled pork was cold and tasteless .
