My friend that grew up in New York told me about this place, and they just happen to open one here in Thousand Oaks. The pizza is delicious! I am looking forward to trying some of the appetizers when I go back. There is no indoor seating and the bathroom situation needs to be improved because you cannot lock the door behind you currently. I am sure they will address this soon as we made them aware of that.

Delicious!!!😋 The pizza was thin and crispy and the cheese stretched! Definitely NY pizza on the West Coast! The calamari was dusted lightly and cooked to perfection! The zeppoli were hot and crispy just like my Nonna made them! Can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

The guy at the order window had a New York accent. I felt reassured about giving this place a try. They're from Staten Island. I'm from Queens. I had the lunch special - two slices and a drink. I had plain slices; no parm, and no crushed red pepper - to give the pizza a proper assessment. It was a perfect NY slice. Sturdy undercarriage for a good fold. Tasted like it cooked in a traditional pizza oven - not the chain restaurant conveyor ovens. The dough had a good flavor and balance of crispy and chewy. Flavorful sauce and the right amount of cheese. I'll be sure to stop by again next time I'm in the neighborhood!

This is the most delicious pizza I have ever had. I can’t believe how lucky we are to have them open in Thousand Oaks. The community should stand in line for this pizza and give them the business they deserve.

Soooo we just went to @deninosthousandoaks. Many years ago I spent a lot of time in Staten Island and I went a ton of times to the original Denino’s so I knew what their pizza was all about. Fast forward to this past week & I literally heard that a T.O. location had recently opened up and I got REALLY excited. And let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! This place is on point and it has the exact same crust. It’s unbelievable. GO!!! Not kidding. By the way, Greg Leone who also owns Leone’s Italian Ices (which is right near Denino’s), is a terrific guy. We spoke for at least 45 minutes about pizza (of course), S.I., music and his businesses. It was a real treat getting to know him and his passion for pizza done RIGHT! The staff was great as well. Oh and we got the the Garbage and Buffalo Chicken pizza pies. And I just have to say one AGAIN…DAMN! THAT Crust!!!

I moved from Staten Island to Los Angeles and couldn’t find any pizza for years !!! I saw the Silive article and had to come by… even though it was a drive that’s nothing for a New Yorker. Greg the owner is a beast! The pizza is identical … even better than the deninos from back home! Don’t forget to grab the ice next door from LEONES! Same quality and owner 10/10 will be back next time I’m craving pizza. Thank you for accommodating us

Finally, TO got the perfect pizza spot! Wow. Authentic, NY, thin crust, crispy perfection satiates your taste buds at this must go-to locale. Super friendly staff, reasonable prices, clean, and plenty of outdoor seating. Night time ambiance under the string lights add to the experience. Don’t miss the dessert and espresso bar. Grew up with Deninos pizza in NYC and had to make the drive to Thousand Oaks when I found out they opened one up in my adopted home of Southern California! Greg, the owner was awesome, pizza was great and the service was fantastic. The only downside I saw was the interior of the restaurant really did not have much ambience. The outside patio was beautiful. I’d love to see more of a restaurant type set up on the inside with a bar and TVs and the like. Other than that, it was a five star experience and I highly recommend.

Denino's is BY FAR the best pizza you're going to find in SoCal. If you've never been to NY or had a real pie, this is close as you're gonna get without booking a flight. The owner Greg couldn't be any nicer - he's a class act and he's built a great team as well. Everyone is super friendly and the service is always fantastic. I drive 45 minutes each way and it's well worth the drive; give yourself time to eat there for the full experience! Extended time in the box is no good for any pizza. What's the best New York style pizza you can get in Thousand Oaks. Absolutely delicious, crunchy thin crust, wonderful sauce, pepperoni is magnificent. Don't know what more you could ask for in a pizza. I go here as frequently as I can afford to. They sell by the slice or the whole pie, I recommend the whole pie. The salute is particularly good if not slightly bitter. But that arugula hits. Too bad Google uses the star system cause I want to get this restaurant a 10 out of 10

It is definitely the best NYC style pizza I have had in SoCal. Crust is crispy, fold in half kind of crust. The vodka pizza was okay - something missing about that sauce but still good. The margherita pizza was delicious. They don't sell by the slices. They do a two slice and drink deal. You can also buy a pie and do half half. They also have an after school deal and gluten free option. The atmosphere inside is not very inviting and definitely doesn't have the NYC pizza store vibe. You order from a window outside and We were able to sit inside to eat our pizza. The entire store is surrounded by glass windows but they are frosted 3/4 of the way so it doesn't allow you to see what's going on from the outside. Which makes me reluctant to even want to try this place if I was driving by. Hopefully in the summer they open up those doors or something. The nice perk about this place is just next door, there is an Italian ice place where you can get spumoni. If you have a NYC pizza craving and in this area, definitely stop by. But if you are looking for a cozy date night out, this isn't the place unless maybe if you are eating outside.

The crust was decent, the sauce was good, and the cheese/toppings were of good quality. Had I gotten what I ordered, my experience might have been different, so I'll try this place again later and update my review. For the record, they offered to make me a replacement pizza which I would have accepted if I had time to wait, so instead, they gave me a refund.

December 2024 Huge disappointment. The whole "experience" isn't worth the hype. I had the highest hopes for this place, but NO, I will NOT be back. Logistic Problems: I can't figure out how to get in, where to park, is someone going to take my order, or do I need to go to a counter to order? Waitress/waiters? 1. The "front" is on T.O. Blvd. facing North. Chaos? Where's the front door? The counter? Where do you order? 2. Where do you park? Dimly-lit Alleyway at best, where Leslie's Pool is. If there was a sign indicating where to park, how are you supposed to see it in Pitch Black darkness. 3. Made it inside: There's a makeshift "cashier counter" inside, lined with the bins that are supposed to be used to make the pizza? Health hazard! Hello? But if you pay in cash, the cashier has to run over to another counter to make change. 4. Food/Pizza was Lousy, terrible, garbage. This is another replication of "Slice" down the street. It's "fake" dough, filled with conditioners and chemicals designed to help it rise, form a crust, and give it a crispy feel while at the same time being a huge sponge. Problem, it causes bloating, and lingers in your gut for hours. If you feel tired, run down, terrible like you got run over by a truck, it could be from eating pre-fab dough filled with a bunch of chemicals you can't pronounce. From experience, I can tell this place either uses a pre-made dough from a restaurant supply store, or they're using gimmicky unnatural "yeast" and chemicals, added in with a bunch of other forever ingredients. There's not enough salt in the dough either, which means there's no flavor. Pizza is all about the dough. And Denino failed. The "sauce" was also terrible too. It's not even a sauce! It's literally some type of tomatoes straight out of a can, that was dumped on the pizza. There's no flavor to it, it's very sour, and doesn't have that deep cooked down flavor like a pizza sauce is supposed to have. Then they sprinkle dried oregano on top of the pizza when it comes out of the oven. Yuck! When did that terrible Trend start?! If you want any herbs and spices, they should be cooked in the sauce ahead of time, to develop body and flavor. The cheese was 90% oil. Probably fake as well, because the cheese didn't have any flavor or taste. It was literally just pure oil sitting on top. Atmosphere? They put some kind of white paint or something on the windows that face the inside patio area where the fountain and the Beautiful lights are. So basically they don't want you to go out there. What a waste of ambience. If you can't see inside, the staff inside can't see you either. Parking: Same owner as the Italian Ice shop next door (West). You can park there, or in the back, outside courtyard parking area where the apartments are. Handicap warning/violation, ADA take note. There is a handicap ramp, but it dumps you into a chipped wood area. There's no way you're getting a wheelchair across that 10-ft stretch between the two parking lots on a rollator, or a wheelchair, or using any kind of cane or walker. You're more likely to stumble and fall because of the uneven surface. Service: that's literally the only good thing about this entire experience and establishment. At least the people working there worked, and worked hard. To the Management of this place: 1. Start over! I would first of all put up correct signage indicating where the parking is, with the light on it so you can see it at night time. 2. Once people get to the patio area, there needs to be a clear front door and a front entrance that is marked as such so that people know where the front entrance is. Open up the all those fixed windows, and let people have an inside/outside dining experience. 3.
