Torta Plaza Tijuana Reviews
I had an amazing experience at La Torta Plaza! Server: Diego Diego was incredible — super attentive, friendly, and really went the extra mile. Since there are no refills, he even brought me another drink so I didn’t have to walk back for it. Outstanding customer service! Chicken Torta: 5/5 Absolutely perfect. The chicken was soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The bread had the ideal texture — not too hard, not too soft — and everything was balanced perfectly. The chipotle sauce added a nice touch without being too spicy. Torta de Asada: I tried a bite of my sister’s and it was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. Definitely getting this one next time. Cubana Torta: I also tried the Cubana torta, and it was delicious too! So many options to try here and only one stomach — it’s tough choosing what to get because everything tastes amazing. Agua de Orchata (Hibiscus Juice): 5/5 Refreshing, not too sweet, and so good I had to get a second one — and yes, they do not offer refills, so keep that in mind! Price: 5/5 The combos (torta + fries + drink) range from 175 to 255 pesos, which comes out to roughly $10 to $15 USD depending on the exchange rate. Amazing value for the quality and portion size. Music & Atmosphere: A smooth mix of jazz and traditional Mexican music. Not too loud, not too quiet. Loved hearing Los Bukis on the playlist! Overall: Great food, great service, and great vibes. This place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
First visit on a weekday for lunch. It was busy, but there was no line. I ordered at the counter, paid, and my food was brought to my table quickly. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. The bread is freshly made, and the aguas frescas are refreshing (two flavors: jamaica and horchata). The menu has several torta options, and the combo includes fries and a regular-size agua fresca or soda. Restrooms are available for customers, and the dining area is clean with friendly staff. Located in a shopping center with paid parking. Next time I’ll try the desserts. Overall solid casual spot for a quick, tasty torta lunch.
Always love coming here when craving a torta! I do not recommend the weekends, it gets way too busy and not easy to find a place to sit (would take them to go) their service was lacking few yrs back but now A+ (clean tables, clean bathrooms, serve food quickly and yes food is delicious!)
Love this place! They don't only have tortas their chilaquiles are delish! No sodas only freshly made juice. It's a must when in Tijuana.
Man that place was great. The tortas are to die for. Just like the ones in the heart of Mexico. My family and I went there what they had quite a few of them and they're all great. The flavored drinks are awesome too.
Pretty good, got the beef sandwich. I have lactose issues so they took that out and no spicy sauce. It was still very tasty. It was 7 dollars USD for the sandwich
Excellent Tortas! I got the Mariachi and it was fantastic. Also, their orange juice is so good! I live it Tecate but will be driving back to Tijuana just to have this meal again.
One of the historic fast food restaurants in Tijuana, they offer tortas and then some. The food, the service and presentation are all great. The prices are a little higher than your usual Mexican food place, but its worth it, no doubt.
Karla (cashier ) at the front counter took the time to explain the difference between all the tortas and ingredients. 5 STARS Adrian (waiter) deserves 7 stars. Respectful, attentive, and smiling all the time. Prompt to your table to get you anything you need. Had the chance to talk to the shift supervisor and gave her my input and opinions. Suggested to give Adrian a raise. Food tasted great !!! My only complaint was the protein portions. it looks like the cook cut the carne asada into small pieces and arranged barely filling the bread. 3 stars for him. Maybe the company has instructed him to cut down on the portion size. ( not his fault ) The place is very clean all around, the restrooms are very clean and smell good. Definitely will be back. !!!
It's okay, the service is good, but the food portions could be bigger and the fries can be hotter and fresher, like to order..,not sitting under a heatlamp..
Very disappointed with their menu prices. They only post the basic menu showing their very cheap prices, but then they ask you if you want fries, melted cheese and your beverage type, from $90 pesos for one torta they charge you more than $200 pesos for that a beverage and fries. For sure if they were to post all their prices people would hardly go there.
Tried the breakfast, chilaquiles rojos and eggs. It was rather bland, eggs were soaked in oil, tortillas were soggy. I just tried for the first time, maybe this was uncharacteristic, but it definitely didn't make a good impression on me.
The torta was lacking flavor. I would not eat here again. Generic food and place. Don’t know how they stay busy. Tortas are one of my favorite foods and this place doesn’t do it justice. Do not recommend this.
Bad customer service, 10 people just walking around, doing nothing And you’re there just staring at them. Waiting for one of them to see you. I was very hungry I placed my order, shortly after the rest of my group placed theirs, And when they called our name my order was missing. And the girl acted as is if was my fault for placing my order first. So my order was 10 minutes late. The food was good.
