Everything was great. The server was attentive, making sure we had everything we wanted. Cook actually got my hashbrows just like I asked! Scattered and extra, extra crispy (almost burnt). I've had a lot of hashbrowns from many different places, and most are afraid to do it or get the outside crispy, but inside is the normal mushy (not scattered). My compliments to the chef. Chicken fried chicken was excellent.

This was my first visit to an IHOP in a long time and my first at this particular location. I was impressed by the service (very attentive and fast), the cleanliness, and the quality of the food. If all IHOPs were carbon copied off this one the IHOP chains would be amazing. The young gentleman, Aziz who runs the place is a testament of what good customer service is all about. We stopped by for breakfast before going to the ren fest and everyone was so kind. Our waiter was new and the manager made sure to come let us know beforehand. But Gio was great and managed to get all our complicated orders right first try. They went above and beyond on their service and the food was great. My family and I came in after midnight on a Saturday. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We received our drinks and food quickly, and were able to enjoy our meal thanks to the staff. As a bonus, the manager was personally checking on tables, delivering orders, and making sure no small detail was missed.

Today’s visit to IHOP was 10/10. The hospitality was so refreshing from the moment my sister and I entered the building! We weren’t sure what all we wanted but our server Loraine helped us make a decision was the sweetest. She wasn’t pushy or rude just sweet and mindful. Every time I looked up the manger or herself were refilling drinks bringing more hot syrup and checking in on us. Again it was refreshing and delicious. We both ordered omelets and pancakes, which were so hot cheesy and loaded with meat! Yum yum, I’d definitely recommend and will be back!

The wait staff at this location are the absolute best. They go above and beyond for us every time we go there. We enjoy sitting at the bar to watch the hustle and bustle while eating the delicious breakfast. We, as humans, need to do better with how we treat wait staff. I have seen the meanest costumers at this very location and I try to tell the wait staff that they’re very much appreciated by us and we leave a generous tip when we can. All this to say, this is the only location I will go to in North Houston because of the exceptional service.

Even with a full house, the kitchen managed to get our food out quickly, hot, and, more importantly, tasting fresh. Every dish arrived exactly as ordered. A highlight of our visit was meeting the owner, Aziz. He wasn't tucked away in his office but rather actively working the floor, interacting with guests, and ensuring smooth operations. It was clear he takes immense pride in his establishment that he stated has been owned by his family for over 20 years. We saw him engaging with families, chatting with kids, and genuinely praising his wait staff and cooks, which created a positive environment for both customers and employees. This place is infested with roaches. I saw 3 just while sitting at the table, I can guarantee you if they have that many in the dining room the kitchen is crawling with them.

I loved eating at this location. Our server was great & the food was very good. The place was packed but out food was served promptly. The only negative I can say about this location is the Hostess had a sourpuss attitude. She was clearly not a happy employee & since she is the first person customers encounter, it does not bode well. But the Server made up for her. The dining room and restrooms were clean and sanitized. The short order cooks were very busy but promptly were getting orders as quickly as possible. Customers tend to take cooks for granted since for the most part their work literally goes unnoticed by most customers. I always ask for "real eggs" I don't like the texture of the regular eggs they use. We also got an omelette and some toast. I love the orange juice from here. The food and service are good, but the moldy ceiling tiles and furry vents are too gross. The last time I was there, I was seated under a vent. I got to watch the vent fuzz dangle above over my plate. I would've lost my mind if it blew into my food. Ihop is supposed to be the upscale version of its competitors, but this one is dirtier than any Waffle House I've ever been to. Come to think of it, I've never been to another business with more than one rotting ceiling tile. Commercial ceiling tiles are relatively cheap and easily replaceable, so other businesses replace them without a second thought. I'm really not picky. I don't mind soap scum or crumbs on the table. Last month, I saw an employee stomp a roach at a local fast food place- I still eat there every week! I've never written a restaraunt review until now, and I've only written three critical Google reviews (including this one) in several years. Please replace the ceiling tiles and clean the vents. I'll gladly delete my review if that's done. I would love to return for the excellent crepes without worrying about catching something. I feel bad for the employees working in this moldy building. If any of y'all have mystery sinus or breathing problems, then please consider my review and see a doctor.

I am writing this review with full intention, clarity, and purpose, because what occurred at IHOP today was not simply “poor service.” It was unprofessional, unacceptable, and reflective of a deeper problem in leadership, training, and basic respect for customers. I had just been released from the hospital and was not feeling my best. I stopped by IHOP for comfort, expecting a simple, straightforward dining experience. Instead, I was met with the most discourteous and disrespectful treatment I have ever received at any establishment . When I politely ordered and stated the entrée I desired by name, as listed on the menu, my assigned waiter, Sammy, responded with confusion, irritation, and an attitude that immediately shifted the atmosphere from welcoming to hostile. Rather than ask a clarifying question like any trained waiter should, his voice was slightly raised and he became visibly aggravated, and insisted that I read the entire description of the entree to him. He kept saying did you want the one with French toast an omelette or pancakes clearly avoiding acknowledgement of the menu item I stated which is documented on their menu ! His lack of menu knowledge somehow became my burden to compensate for. When I requested a brief moment to gather myself due to his escalating behavior, Sammy stormed away. What happened next was truly beyond the realm of professionalism. He began talking about me loudly to other waiters in the kitchen area , in the presence of staff AND customers, fully aware that I could hear every word. I have never felt so disrespected or humiliated in my life while simply trying to order food ! At that point, I gathered my things and proceeded to walk out. I was not about to put up with poor customer service ! As I walked away from the table Lorraine, a server with clear professionalism, emotional intelligence, and genuine concern, stopped me as I approached the door. She looked me in the eye, apologized for what I experienced, and asked if she could take over and provide the service I deserved. Her approach was sincere, her tone respectful, and her conduct exemplary. Lorraine is the only reason I did not leave the restaurant immediately! Shortly after, the manager, Gambino, was advised of the incident and he reprimanded Sammy and came over to apologize for his behavior . Shortly after our discussion , Sammy himself appeared and offered an apology as well . While I respect the act of apologizing, I want to state this precisely and without ambiguity. I accepted the apology, but I will not EVER forget the experience! The emotional impact and the disrespect I endured cannot be erased by a few words, nor should they be. Although I will not be returning to this particular IHOP , I do want to make one thing absolutely clear. Lorraine deserves recognition, praise, and advancement. Her professionalism salvaged what was otherwise an appalling and unforgettable encounter. She represented the values and customer service standards that IHOP should uphold. Sammy’s conduct was indefensible, inappropriate, and wholly unprofessional while Lorraine’s conduct was exemplary, compassionate, and exactly what customer service should be. I sincerely hope management takes this review seriously, reevaluates training and expectations, and ensures that no customer is ever subjected to the treatment I experienced today. Good afternoon. I went to this place over the weekend because it was recommended to me, but honestly, I wouldn't go back. The service was terrible, the tables were all covered in dirty dishes, and the bathroom was awful. When you walk in, nobody attends to you; all the servers are sitting in the other area to the right as you enter, and you have to wait until they see you before they can seat you. The only ones who pay attention to when people arrive are the cooks, who notice who's coming in, but the waiters and the others don't do their jobs. They all sit in the balcony area serving you the food, and there's nobody you can call if you need anything. It's terrible. There's better service at the other IHOP location.

The welcome that we received when we walked in wasn't good. This says a lot to me and we should have left then. It's been years since we visited this particular IHOP and its changed drastically. THIS USE TO BE OUR FAVORITE IHOP! The receptionist and the service here was once top notch. Today however it disappointed us so bad that we left after only receiving the coffee. We canceled our food order. We had asked for a booth (there were plenty available because it was early) and another waiter yelled and told the waiter directing us where to seat us. This seat was literally right next to people already eating and was a table seat. I then asked again to sit at a booth and we were allowed to. The language of the people working in the kitchen was unprofessional and should have been corrected. We had 3 different waiters and none knew what the other had done with one stating that she had worked the other side of the restaurant. We finally asked for our ticket and paid for the coffee. We will not be back to this one

There was a roach that crawled into our eating area. We were able to catch the roach in a napkin to give to the waitress. She took the "roachy" napkin once we got her attention. After communicating with the manager (or whomever we thought was in charge in the gray shirt), he explained that there were huge parties the day before for Ramadan and the restaurant wasn't cleaned to standards as a result of the crowds. Unacceptable! The manager (or the person in the gray shirt) comped us for our coffees ONLY! Again, Unacceptable! We have visited this location on many times, and this has not happened. Unfortunately, it happened and the way it was handled was not taken as serious for a food service environment or treated respectfully as customer satisfaction.

Service used to be great at this place. We came to this store when it first opened up. Moved away. Came tonight with my kids, what a disappointment. Waiter brought drinks them disappeared. After a long wait my kids asked if this place was self serve. I got up to go find server Place wasn't busy 830pm. I found them at the kitchen pass theu window, I stood behind them for about 30 seconds, he didnt turn, he was playing a video game on his phone. I politely asked him if he could take our order and apologized for disrupting his game. He then came and took out order. I requested a manager who took their time to come see us. She seemed to dismiss my concers and just said she would speak to them about it. What happened to this place? The avocado had dark spots, it was old.
