Bar Trattoria La Taverna Torino Reviews
I had a great time, they welcomed me with a smile and I ate super well, highly recommended 👍👍👍
Dinner by chance. Small but absolutely charming and unique. Home-style cooking with good-quality ingredients and generous portions. Family-run. The menu is different and varied every time. The prices might seem a bit high at first glance, but the portions and quality of the ingredients absolutely justify them.
Incredible authentic Italian food and very kind service!! Would recommend that everyone grab a bite here while in Turin!
The best restaurant in Turin/ Torino!!! Incredible food & friendly service, plus an amazing atmosphere and clean restaurant. So happy we went here!
The best plate of gnocchi with Castelmagno cheese I've ever eaten!!! Highly recommended!! Very friendly and welcoming! The receipt is calculated and handwritten! A journey into the past... moving and beautiful ;)
Absolutely delicious food with fabulous wine, and that pasta was perfect with gorgeous local wine..
This was the second night in a row me and my wife came here. The atmosphere here is wonderful. The place grants a sense of home and friendliness. Whenever you walk in you are greeted with a smile and it's a comforting place to go to for grabbing a nice meal, a beer (or wine), and some delicious dessert. Come try the tiramisu, you will not regret it!
This is my second time here in 1 week, and trust me, I would come here every day! This place feels like having a meal at a friend’s house: the place is super welcoming, the staff is so available, happy to help and careful to the quality and details that you would never want to leave. I will definitely come back when I’m Turin next time. Thank you for your lovely food and service 🙏🏻
We arrived late because we had just arrived in the city. The owner was closing, yet he still did us the favor of feeding us. From the start, despite not speaking English, he was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular: the spaghetti with mussels was the best I've ever had, and the carbonara was also delicious. The homemade desserts were also spectacular, including the panna cotta. Afterward, the owner treated us to homemade limoncello, also delicious, and even took €3 off the bill. In the end, we ate very well for €20 per person.
Down to earth and very very friendly. It seems to be a family run business with home made cuisine. It's a no frills kitchen if you expect restaurant style extravaganza this is definitely the wrong place for you. This is authentic local food made by locals. And they really know what the do. Since every dish is freshly prepared you may have to wait a moment until the food is served. We felt really well and at home here and we left with a very warm feeling.
A city trattoria reminiscent of the eateries of yesteryear... the ones that accompanied the neighborhood from breakfast to dinner, not forgetting the glass of wine that broke up the day. Simple, home-cooked food; no menu at the table, but a blackboard at the entrance that doesn't tell you everything. In fact, when you order, you discover interesting alternatives at the table. Attentive service and an extremely friendly owner. The dishes aren't elaborate, but they're genuine, as you'd expect from a place like this, where you find products like eggplants in oil made by her mother (delicious) and fresh agnolotti... The prices are a bit high on the menu, and not because of the quality, but in my opinion, they're a bit above average for a "Trattoria"... but you can overlook that if you appreciate the atmosphere. It must be said that the portions are quite generous. Luckily, we happened to be there on a quiet evening and were able to enjoy the owner's attentive service. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent cuisine and honest portions, from appetizers to first courses, and desserts. Attentive service and kindness from the owner characterize this trattoria.
Simple and tidy place. Bathrooms are outside but clean. Prices aren't exactly cheap, but portions are generous. Avoid the appetizer; for €15, it's really nothing special, and I'd say the cooked ham is absolutely out of place. The first courses were good and plentiful. The wine was pleasant. All in all, everything was fine. It's still, in my opinion, too expensive for a lunch break.
AWFUL!!!! I highly recommend not going there!! The service was truly awful, slow, really slow. We sat down at 8:30 PM and left at 11 PM without eating. The only positive was the appetizers because they were truly excellent. They then brought us the main courses instead of the first courses, apologizing for their mistake. The first courses finally arrived after we requested them, but they were raw! The waiters also claimed that they were raw, so we had 10 of the first courses sent back. The location is truly stunning, but it's a shame about the rest! I'm sorry, but we won't be returning.
As soon as we entered this restaurant, four of us, for a quick lunch, we were greeted by staff who were visibly annoyed by our presence and scolded us for not having booked. While we were being scolded, we found ourselves right next to a table set for exactly four people—one of many, given that the place was practically empty. I can't rate the food: after being granted the privilege of being seated, we waited longer than we had allotted and no one showed up to take our orders, so we left. Judging by the medium-high prices, I imagine the food is good, given the quality of the service and the fairly spartan atmosphere.
