La cena in questo ristorante è stata un'esperienza molto piacevole. Servizio di livello elevato, sommelier molto professionale, simpatico e gentile. Essendo un ristorante di pesce il menù è stilato giornalmente quindi non è possibile consigliare un piatto piuttosto che un altro. Quando ci sono stato io c'erano i calamari ripieni che erano veramente squisiti, ma non è sicuro che ci siano oggi, vini al calice molto buoni

A pleasant discovery in the heart of Turin. An intimate restaurant with an open kitchen and the option to eat directly at the counter. The staff is very knowledgeable, both in terms of preparation and service! The à la carte menu and daily specials offer a good mix. The dishes we tried were excellent! Cod meatballs, fried shrimp, mussels, spaghetti with shrimp, seared red tuna, and finally, fig tart. The perfect place to forget you're far from the sea. Highly recommended seafood restaurant!

A little corner of Puglia in the heart of Turin. If you want to eat good fish in the city here you are in the right place. An explosion of umami. The staff is very kind and friendly, service unobtrusive but present when necessary.

The atmosphere, food and service of the restaurant Bastimento were exceptional. The Derthona Wine of 2021, and the fish platter, along with the fried calamari were the starting appetizers which made our experience unique and delicious. Service is great, which is in my opinion and own experience very rare in Italy, and unexpectedly very friendly to foreigners. It was in my point of view, amazing! 5 stars to Bastimento!!

Had dinner here with two of my girlfriends who are also studying here in Torino. We all agreed it was the best service we have had since being here in Torino. The staff was so kind and helped translate anything from the menu we were confused on and helped give an amazing recommendation on a bottle of wine! From the starter continued to the desert every plate of food was delicious, and the cozy warm ambience of the restaurant made it even better!

If you appreciate a good octopus, their version is hands down the best I have ever had. Marinated, slow cooked, grilled and fried for extra crispness. The other food looks great as well. I returned three nights in a row for the "polpo".

Locale molto discreto, passando quasi non lo si nota, ma all'interno si rivela un ottimo ristorante di pesce, in un'ambientazione molto piccola, intima e romantica, condita da luci soffuse e tavolini piccoli. Dò 4 stelle per i prezzi un po' troppo alti a parer mio, soprattutto per la carta dei vini, che però è davvero molto ricca, ma nonostante questo, il cibo è davvero squisito. Primi piatti: Spaghettoni ai Ricci di Mare, che nonostante fossero un po' troppo al dente, racchiudevano davvero i sapori del mare e Paccheri di Gragnano con sugo di Pesce; come secondo Baccalà panato in Pane Carasau e Polpo Verace alla Barese, entrambi davvero ottimi e per finire, come dolci, un tiramisù ed una tarte tatin deliziosi, il tutto accompagnato da un Pinot Grigio per un totale di 120€.

Buon locale in centro a Torino. Varie pietanze di pesce di ottima qualità. Consigliato!

Not worth the hype. The location is cute but very basic, the bathroom dirty, and service far from attentive. The food is not bad, but not good either and very forgettable. There are much better options nearby and in the same price range. Four stars only because the food didn't deserve 3 stars, but the bathroom would have.

A pretty appealing bistro layout with the kitchen in full view. Joyless service. Expensive “coperto” at €3. Definitely overpriced “primi piatti” at €20/22 for industrial made pasta (cooked Al dente for sure) with too liquid sauces and undefined flavors. Expectations fully not met. And in fact the last guide stickers on the windows are no longer of recent years… overall a disappointment.

Reading the previous reviews, I expected excellent dishes. A truly beautiful place, good service, and good wine. However, I wasn't satisfied with the dishes (which seemed very beautiful). The appetizer was tasteless, and the first course had a very salty sauce that didn't quite match the palate. The dishes chosen by my companion were better. The desserts, however, were excellent. I was disappointed; I definitely expected more, given the restaurant's reputation as an excellent seafood restaurant. The prices were very high, but if they had met my expectations, they would have been reasonable. Definitely not. However, I don't think I'll return, despite the lovely atmosphere.

I wish I could leave a better review, unfortunately I had such a disappointing experience at Bastimento.. from the reservation to leaving the table, a series of unfortunate mistakes from the staff. The oysters and great, I would go back just for them, nothing else. In my opinion Bastimento is -very- overpriced for what it offers. I am usually happy to pay for a nice dinner, when what we get in return is satisfying.

Ristorante Bastimento got no printed menu to have a look at - you need a mobile phone to scan a QR-code and find out about starters, primi , secondi and dolce as well as drinks to place your order. Asking the waitress about this (in my opinion, call me old-fashioned) not customer-friendly approach, she told us "this is the law". Is there really a law in Italy to forbid printed menus in restaurants? I don't think so.
