Brün Torino Reviews
Oh, my receptive reader, you must understand! My beloved spouse and I—the divine Dulcinea to my Don Quixote of the dining-room, if you will—have been thrice seduced, nay, utterly enthralled, by a little alimentary alcove in Turin. A place of paradigmatic pasta called Brün Buona. Our triumvirate of visits were not mere jaunts! They were episodes, happenings, incidents of unbridled Italian felicity! First Instance: An inaugural incursion! A feeling of anticipatory giddiness that bordered on the apoplectic! Second Sequence: A return—an affirmation! The realization that the first excursion was not a fluke, but a fait accompli of fabulousness! Third Thrust: A final, valedictory vortex of vermicelli! We departed, sated and utterly enchanted, like two beatified bon vivants! And the pasta! Ah, the sublime, the stupendous, the superlative pasta! My memory, alas, is a porous sieve when it comes to the nomenclature—the tedious titular designation is utterly elusive! But the sensation, my friend, the sensation is indelible! The Sauces: Not simply coatings, but unctuous, rich, puckish, zesty envelopes of flavour! A veritable galaxy of gustatory grandeur! My wife, poor darling, was reduced to utter, inarticulate bliss! The Dough: Chewy yet tender, resilient yet yielding! It was the very quintessence of artisanship! I swear, each strand was a tiny, testifying tome of Italian tradition! It was magisterial, peerless, nonpareil! And the denouement! The cost! It was not an extortionate outlay, nor an unjustifiable expenditure! No! It was economical, judicious, a steal, a monetary miracle! We ate like royalty—nay, like gods—but paid with the kind of casual coinage one might toss at a trolley ride! The antithesis of avarice! The Final Fervent Filiation Brün Buona Pasta Fresca is a paradise, a pandemonium of perfection, a truly incomparable institution! We shall return, inevitably, incessantly, and with insatiable appetites!
Staff was very nice. We waited about 20-30 minutes to get a table during peak hour, but the pasta was so, so, worth it. Each were excellent, especially the AGNOLOTTI ALLA PIEMONTESE which is must for those who like meat in their pasta.
A fantastic concept. One would expect to be served fast food but this isn't anything close. Heritage whole grains from Italy and top ingredients to finish off the perfectly Al dente pata. We enjoyed a plate three times over seven days. Great for that nonna style lunch meal. Super attentive and friendly host/ staff!
Excellent stop for a fresh pasta meal! The guy at the front desk was so kind, he appeared to speak French, Italian, and English which made it so easy to order. He explained all the different fresh pastas and his recommendation for sauce pairings - we got a lemon/cheese ravioli with pesto sauce and it was amazing! Tiramisu was also very good. Probably about 20 tables inside and constant amount of customers but it never felt rushed. Good fast casual spot for a meal in Turin!
Best traditional pasta!! We absolutely loved this place; whether for the fresh pasta, friendly staff or cosy atmosphere! The menu is clearly displayed, as well as the types of pasta (which is so handy for someone who doesn’t know all the pasta shapes😄). I strongly recommend to try the Agnolotti alla Piemontese, since this is one of THE traditional dishes in Torino! Either with butter and sage sauce or the traditional one, these ravioli-like are so delicious!! Moreover, we couldn’t go without trying the tiramisu, and it was not a mistake; it was a very flavoursome one, with a strong coffee taste (which I personally really enjoyed). The ambience is really pleasant and I like how they share their story on the walls (either written or on the tv). Fresh products, fresh pasta, which you can definitely taste. Additionally, you can even buy some fresh pasta for home. Thank you so much for the great service and food! Next time we’re in Torino, we will definitely visit again!
Visited this place November last year! I have to say this is the best pasta I have ever eaten on this planet! Very good ingredients used and very high quality pasta. It is a must go place if you are at Torino. The only sad truth is they only open 3 hours a day, else I would like to settle my dinner there as well! Last but not least, very reasonable price! Definitely will check it out again when I get to visit Torino next time!
Top Rated for a reason. A stop here cannot be beat for lunch in Torino. Incredibly friendly staff that will make recommendations. Pick a pasta type and pick a sauce from the board. They will explain each of them if needed, and inform you of the typical pairings. Great prices. Would eat here weekly if I lived in Torino.
First of all, the man at the cashier was super warm, enthusiastic and welcoming! My partner got the gricia which was really flavourful and I got the truffle tagliatelle which was 2x the price but it was absolutely disappointing…almost tasteless 🥹 I was quite disappointed and not sure if this is normal and hope they can improve on it
Went there to have pastas with truffles but unfortunately they didn’t have truffles at tht time , the staff recommended me to have agnolotti with the Roast sauce which was delicious. They gave me their contact and asked me to give them a call next week to confirm if the truffles are available. Very welcoming , definitely recommend.
