Dawat Torino Reviews
Best butter chicken outside of Delhi. Amazing food - authentic, full of rich flavours. Having a tandoor oven means the tandoori chicken and naan breads were great. Highly recommend. One of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten at for sure! I will become a regular once I move to Turin - and my house is a 5 minute walk!!!!!
Excellent authentic Indian food! The best butter chicken I’ve had in Turin. Very kind, friendly service and a varied menu with all of your favorite Indian dishes. I also recommend the refreshing mango lassi after your meal (if you still have space after dinner). Just be careful going there on a Saturday night as it is usually completely packed with people!
The Indian food experience was absolutely great. Congratulations for such amazing dinner, having so many dishes on the table is beautiful. The service was a bit « forcing » on asking if we wanted more food, the attention on the person eating can be a little uncomfortable. This little detail makes the night close to perfect. A lovely dinner thanks !
Food was delicious and they catered so well for kids. Recommendations were also really fab. I would recommend this restaurant to those wanting more than a pizza or pasta. Flavours of India. Thank you to all the staff too, really nice team.
A cosy and nice place for dinner. Very friendly staff, nice indian food at very reasonable price. More than three varieties of Veg Menu thali, which include starters, 3-4 sabji(vegetable curry), chapati (Indian Bread), Rice and at end of the meal they ask you for desert, Gulab Jamun is one of the best dessert they have. Very authentic indian food, just a kilo meter from Turin Train station. One should must try here when in Turin.
We really liked the place. The restaurant was nice and clean. The service was fast and the food was good. It was a bit too spicy, but that's how it's supposed to be. I suggest you to try separate plates and not the hole menu, this way you won't mix or lose the senses for every plate because of the strong taste. I really loved my food and strongly suggest to go on and try it. The prices weren't bad and you can pay separately for your meal. We also tried the white wine, made in India, and it seemed like it was a bit lighter in alcohol than the Italian one. But still it was good. We're going back again✌️😁
Oh my God! Simply awesome! The food is so delicious and there are lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The owners are friendly and they care about you; like if there is something you might not like they’ll come over to your table and treat you so kindly. The salad has great and fresh ingredients and the rice is so fragrant with all the spice they put in it. The waiters are friendly and there’s great Indian music in the saloon. The chai is great and they offer you after dinner drinks which are so unique. Definitely go there; I am definitely going back!
It's a really nice Indian restaurant! The atmosphere is great and the food is good. I was expecting a real paneer, but instead we got some cheese bals, which was a little disappointing but well
Worst service ever, non cooperative staff and worst taste of biryani. Not recommended at all.
I had a terrible experience at this Indian restaurant. The servers were chaotic with orders, and the waiter behind the bar counter mocked one of our accents in a very contemptuous tone. Surprisingly, my first encounter with discrimination in Turin was as a customer at an Indian restaurant. The average bill is 20–30 euros; the food is OK, but I think you have lots of better options in Turin, and the service sucks!! When we finished, the owner used a very patronizing tone to ask me not to split the bill and pay with the same card because he has to pay higher commission fees. I paid for two of my friends with my card; We think it's easier for us to split and calculate the amount, and I believe customers have the right to decide how to pay. I will not go back anymore, and I will tell all of my friends not to go.
