De Gusto Torino Reviews
I've been going to this place often for about a month now, along with my boyfriend (he probably comes here every morning) because we love their croissants. The hazelnut ones are incredibly good. The staff is super courteous and friendly, even when it's crowded, and the service is quick and professional. We decided to order a birthday cake here. They blew our taste buds away! The cake was delicious and beautiful. We're so happy we chose this place for the cake, too, as it exceeded our expectations and obviously the guests loved it. Well done! I recommend it!
Very nice place with good value. Good for a quick aperitif or dinner. The first courses are recommended.
Unusually and strangely in Turin, if you want to eat after 10:30 pm, a drama arises.... I've been to various restaurants and pizzerias... but the music is always the same... the kitchen is closed... something unthinkable in Rome... but whatever, local customs.... fortunately, with the strength of desperation, we enter this bar which surprisingly has a real food corner inside with high-quality products.... mozzarella from Campania... top-notch cured meats... super cheeses.... the young staff is very professional and friendly.... a large and clean environment.... all managed by SORAYA... who took care of us patiently.... desserts deserved 10 out of 10... thanks, this place saved our evening...
Nice bar with a breezy outdoor area where you can feel great. The food is the normal one of a bar, I have had coffee, pizza by the slice, ice cream, aperitif several times... It is good, the brunette and thin lady is a very kind person. Unfortunately they did not give me a receipt.
Devastating! There are no other words to describe a place that offers the best of the best! Sweet, savory, and coffee of the highest quality. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home, almost as if you've been there every day, even if it's your first time. The place is located just a few minutes' drive from major roads both in and out of the city. The staff is always, always, and I repeat, ALWAYS kind and courteous, even when faced with the ever-increasing number of bizarre and colorful requests. Now it's up to you to try it and believe it!
Excellent aperitif. We had two spritzes and a non-alcoholic drink. The vegan platter was incredibly well-stocked, with grilled vegetables, olives, slices of red pizza and focaccia, and a regular one with prosciutto, mortadella, goat cheese with salsa verde, gorgonzola, prosciutto, pretzels, mini pizzas, and olives. A very unique and charming place. We'll be back soon. Thanks for the evening.
Top!
The owner is spectacular. The Chinese women are so friendly and kind... But you absolutely have to try these baked goods. They're exceptional. My favorite is the spicy crackers. And don't forget that during the Christmas season they offer artisanal panettone that you can watch being cooked from the glass. 5 stars for this place aren't enough; they want more.
This is a café where I've had breakfast several times. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is courteous and friendly. You can pay by credit or debit card without too much difficulty. Unfortunately, they don't have Chantilly cream for croissants.
I went there today for a cappuccino and croissant, having skipped lunch. Nice place, well stocked with everything from sweet to savory, with a spacious outdoor terrace. The price was absolutely out of line: €3.10 (at least the croissant had been freshly baked). I'd find a similar price understandable at a café in Piazza Castello or Via Roma, but I certainly wouldn't have expected it in such a remote area, which provides shelter, just a few meters away, to many unfortunate homeless people in the area. It might be fine for those who don't have breakfast at the café every day.
The rudeness of a subpar bartender detracts from a place that, nevertheless, would be a good place for breakfast or aperitifs. The quality of the ingredients is good, and the price, in my opinion, is in line with the offerings. But good manners come first. A bartender like that risks ruining the image of a more than worthy establishment. You don't yell at customers, whose only fault is having made a request outside of the counter. In the end, we didn't consume anything, but paid regularly. If a bartender doesn't know how to deal with customers, she should be replaced or, at the very least, taught good manners.
I ordered bags twice via the Too Good to Go app, an anti-waste app. Pickup was scheduled for Saturdays from 7:15 to 7:30 PM. Both times, the store was closed. Now...if they know they close early, they should remove themselves from the app so they can save time for people who come SPECIALLY to pick up their purchases. They're done with me!
Let me start by saying that I was a waiter for 4 years, so I know VERY well what that means. I've never written a review, but the arrogance and rudeness of the waitress in the pizza aisle with her black hair tied back made me reconsider... Cheers!
I bought a Magic Box for €5 using the "Too Good To Go" app (worth €15, as advertised on the app). The lady at the bar asked me how much the box was and prepared a little bag for me. Inside were two mini croissants, an apple puff pastry, and two mini cannoli (see photo). I asked if that was correct, and the lady told me that was the €5 box. I think if I had bought those items without the app, I would have spent the same amount, and it's definitely not worth €15 anyway. It's possible that she'd run out of food and had nothing left for the box, but that's no reason to give only what was in the bag. If that were the case, she would have made a great impression by saying, "Look, I've finished everything, come back tomorrow." Even though she knew she had a reserved box and therefore had to leave something aside, preparing it in advance. I don't think this is fair treatment, and I don't think it reflects the spirit of the anti-waste app. I gave one star simply because it's the only way to give less.
