Guarini - Turin food Torino Reviews
Excellent Piedmontese food with an elegant setting and great decor. Amazing
Warm welcome, great service, all coupled with great local food and wine!
We loved every bit of this experience, highly recommended!
Beautiful designed restaurant with very good food that would deserve a Michelin star. We were with a child of twelve years old, but it was no problem and the staf even provided an extra plate to share our menu. Very reasonable prices and a friendly staff. We certainly recommend this restaurant!
We stayed 2 nights in Torino. We came in this restaurant the first time because it was linked to our hotel. We came back the second time because it was just delicious ! The cherry on top of our trip ! Thanks to the team for their warmth ! De la part des 2 françaises 😊
Elegant restaurant, very friendly and kind stuff and the food is even better. It is just scrumptious! The ragu with homemade pasta is the best I have ever had. A MUST try!
we took the tasting menu and it was excellent, the wine and service impeccable. we will definitely come back
We had an excellent meal here, and the staff was even super accommodating of our small child, bringing an extra cushion for her to sit on. All of the food was well-prepared and well- presented and the wine they recommended paired perfectly.
We stayed three days in Turin, in these few days we dined in various restaurants, all, quite good, however we ate one rainy evening at the restaurant Guarini, we were absolutely delighted with the excellent meal. The risotto was absolutely delicious. Our selection of wine certainly worthy of the meal. . We can highly recommend this first class restaurant.
Great food, great wine. The service was especially amazing, the host answered our many questions about the local wines, and when we lamented about not being able to get the delicious wine in the us, he gave us a bottle of it for free! We were so delighted and would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a good time.
Every single dish we enjoyed (even the bread basket) was delicious and homemade. This is a must try when in Torino and the service is out of this world! The chef and sommelier really take you on a Piedmontese journey to help you discover the food and wine beyond the “Barolos” and “Barbarescos” we’re all but too familiar with. Grignolino from Northern Monferrato to a pine-beer Amaro from Val di Susa, Guarini will take your palate on an unforgettable trip!
The food was lovely but I wish my rice was a bit softer (just a personal preference though). I also would have liked to be offered desserts which didn't contain nuts (we were offered 3 and they all contained nuts). Otherwise, the waiters were lovely. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary vermouth and in general we felt well looked after.
The place looks good, but like many restaurants today they pretend to be more than they are. Plates were basic and not freshly made (raw meet was not freshly cut), not any decent vegetarian option, overpriced for what they serve.
So disappointed! I read great reviews about the Vermouth which was never served (even though we got the tasting menu with wine pairing and it mentioned the vermouth), and the "pairing" consisted of 5 dishes but only 1 prosecco and 1 wine glass. I pretty much don't know which wine I drank as the waiter brought it and never explained it to us. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly, but completely lost. Such a shame, they have the potential to be awesome. After our first starter the waiter asked "any dessert?" and we were like... "we ordered the whole tasting menu". After our first course he asked again "anything else coming for you?". We also had to wait 30min for the check (we asked twice to different people) and in the end I went to the counter and paid there. The pasta was slightly oily for my taste but still really good. Amazing dessert. Their beef was to die for. Great decor. Friendly people. So sad they have such poor service and communication skills. I really don't give 3 stars often but I had to.
Pretty big disappointment. The decor is great. We had the quail, it was pretty tasty. The potato side was inconsistent. One was definitely undercooked. The disappointment was that the staff don't engaged the customers and it shows. The room was empty. Staff are behind the bar looking at their phones. Totally understand why it's empty.
