L'Uliveto Torino Reviews
Cucina ottima.
Ci ritorneremo. Lo consigliamo vivamente!
Siamo stati qui a pranzo e ci siamo trovati benissimo.
Excellent restaurant serving traditional cuisine. The place is small and very welcoming, ideal for those who like a place where they can feel at home. Claudio and his staff are very welcoming and helpful. Speaking of the food, they're very good. Simple, yet flavorful, just what you need. Special mention goes to the gia'ndujotta, the house specialty. Definitely worth a try.
Come taste paradise!!!! 👏 We were lucky enough to experience fantastic cuisine at this restaurant to end our short stay in Turin. By far the best restaurant we visited during our entire trip. It was absolutely delicious, everything was executed to perfection, the portions were generous, and the flavors were incredible. We are discerning food lovers, so don't hesitate, you'll be in heaven. Also, we've never experienced such exceptional value for money. Thank you so much for sharing your passion for good food and for your warm welcome 🙏
A fantastic experience. Chef Claudio, with extensive experience in Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels, interprets traditional Italian cuisine with the influence of his Calabrian roots, adding a touch of Piedmontese tradition to his dishes. A spectacular parmigiana (reservation required), a delicious cacio e pepe, and then his crown jewel, the "GIA'NDUJOTTA," a delicious 'Nduja stuffed with ricotta in the shape of a gianduiotto. The appetizers were also excellent, including eggplant meatballs and grilled tongue topped with puntarelle. The restaurant exudes a convivial atmosphere, and Claudio, the chef, is always present. I ate really well. Thank you Claudio!
I was really curious to try this restaurant and I was thrilled. Very cute, with colorful, homey decor. The attentive and helpful waiters were kind, courteous, and knowledgeable about the dishes. The food was EXCELLENT; everything I tried was very satisfying, and yes...I felt like I was in Calabria. The Parmigiana was top! Kudos to Claudio, the chef, for being so attentive at the tables, but above all because together we managed to feed my mother, who unfortunately has intolerances to many things. Go there! 😉
I really loved the food in this place. The two types of meatballs are amazing!
Beautiful evening. They immediately welcomed us warmly, as if we were regulars (first time). The appetizers are all worth trying. We had gianduiotta, sea and mountain panzanella (very fresh), ricotta in carrozza, eggplant meatballs, and the cuttlefish salad with grilled shrimp, which was amazing! The substantial first courses were delicious. They even offered us limoncello. We'll definitely be back.
A beautiful dinner, excellent dishes, and quality ingredients to savor true Calabrian tradition. Claudio's cooking is truly masterful, with dishes bursting with flavor and truly indulgent. The grilled eggplant parmigiana is a work of art, the maccaruna cacio e pepe is delicious, and the skewer is absolutely delicious!! Trust me, it's definitely worth a try! An interesting wine list, including local wines, is well worth a try. The prices are reasonable for the selection and quality. I'll definitely be back soon! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
we have been in this beautiful restaurant with friends yesterday. so i had to chance to try lots of food.for appetizers i recommend gia’ndujotta and patato dish with peppers. then baccala and chicken dish was also delicious.must try is crostata with crema and fruits.i hope they will add english option on menu in future
Good quality, genuine feeling and good service. Absolutely recommended. I've read comments on being too pricey, which isn't, considering quantity and quality, and being too loud, which isn't, however, it's a small venue, so if there is someone particularly loud, it might disturb (but it wasn't our case).
Loved every moment spent in this restaurant! Excellent service! Would totally recommend.
Excellent food and excellent service. 10/10 experience!
Best food and best experience! I would totally recommend it to anyone. 😌
Excellent food and the staff was tremendously helpful. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant with such wonderful service.
Everything was just wonderful! Bonnisimo! The lady who helped us was so sweet and had all the time to tell us all about the food in English ( English was great!) also she recommended the best wine! Would def. Go here again if we visit the city another time.
Fabulous meal, nice wine, lovely ambience! We had the meatballs, gnocchi and chicken. Only negative which is minor is that the menu was not available in English for us but we trusted the waiting staf…

I came with high expectations, especially because judging by the reviews, it seemed to be one of the best Made-in-South places in Turin. The location is certainly characteristic. Bricks that give it a rustic feel, combined with the authentic, authentic style of the tables. The atmosphere is convivial. Not many tables, but all fairly close to each other (for better or worse, it makes you feel at home). The food. Good, yes. But that's the problem: popular Calabrian cuisine should be a cuisine of the people, accessible to all. Unfortunately, there's nothing authentic here. Dishes range from €15 for the first course to €20 for the second course. Desserts are €7. The portions are a bit small. It all seems like a cuisine that tries to be sophisticated and modern, but forgets the meaning of its origins.
