Tromlin Torino Reviews
Posto perfetto per trascorrere del tempo all'aperto e buon cibo, ottimo anche il servizio. Gentilissimi
Good food, fair price. Friendly and nice guys. Perfect service. Great guys ❤️
Simple, seasonal, home-cooked cuisine with a fixed weekly menu. (3-4 choices of first courses, second courses, and side dishes. Water, wine, and coffee included, for a total of €15.) On Saturdays and Sundays, the chef offers more unusual, yet authentic, dishes. Service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. Nestled in the greenery of the Turin hills, you'll find yourself immersed in an atmosphere of times gone by... In short, a trattoria "la Boccio," where even Pavese would have loved to spend a few hours, playing cards, bocce, and more, in the company of close friends and a good book. Try it for yourself...and let me know your impressions ;-)
Summer dinner with friends in the cool outdoor area. Great for escaping the heat of the city. First of all, parking, which is a problem in this hilly area: there is plenty of it and it is not a problem, because they have deprived themselves of it so much. Friendly and fast service with few dishes on the menu, all of excellent quality. Piedmontese cuisine, excellent homemade pasta and specialty the marinated wild boar steak, a tender and well-cooked delicacy. Desserts also at km 0 (we found a fresh and refreshing peach puree) simple and genuine. Excellent experience for a dinner out of town in the cool of the hill.
A member for several years, here you can find friendship and a shared passion for Piedmontese tradition. In the warmer months, it's a unique setting to escape the city heat and enjoy good food. An experience you absolutely must try at least once.
Absolutely one of the best places to eat on the hills near Turin. It's perfect for a variety of occasions: a business lunch year-round, affordable and high-quality; dinner in the spring/summer on the splendid terrace overlooking Monviso, a welcome escape from the city heat. Traditional Piedmontese cuisine, very good dishes that vary depending on the season, specialties: mixed Piedmontese antipasti, house pasta dishes, and a superb grilled wild boar steak! Welcoming and helpful staff, highly recommended! 👍👍👍
A wonderful surprise!!! We stayed with friends in Turin. They took us for lunch. The appetizer was delicious, excellent Piedmontese agnolotti; but the biggest surprise was the grilled wild boar. The meat was like butter, you didn't even need a knife to cut it. Thanks to all the staff, and I recommend it to anyone passing through Turin.
A charming place nestled in the greenery of the hillside with a truly beautiful view. Excellent food, well-cooked, and I'm posting photos of it. I highly recommend it for its excellent value and location. If you go for lunch, you can also enjoy the sun and fresh air; you'll truly relax. 😎
In these times where everything changes at the speed of light, it's wonderful to rediscover authentic, traditional eateries, where you can see that good food and a genuine atmosphere resist the passing of trends and the changing pace of life. A beautiful and characteristic place in the hills of Turin, where the greenery and altitude give you the wonderful feeling of enjoying the evening breeze surrounded by greenery and friendly, polite, relaxed, and...smiling people. The ancient and ever-present game of bocce, or a game of cards, to ward off the anxieties that current events inundate us. Few cell phones around and lots of cheerfulness and smiles. The cuisine has remained faithful to the Savoy taste for good food and seasonality. We started with a mix of classic summer appetizers (raw meat, veal with tuna sauce, asparagus tart, and the now almost impossible-to-find tongue al verde). We added one of the local cuisine's signature dishes, manholes al verde, and especially anchovies al verde, one of the magical dishes of Piedmontese summer cuisine—a humble dish, which, given the current price of anchovies and the complex, manual preparation of the recipe, has become a first. After two and three of these fantastic appetizers, we reluctantly skipped the inviting first courses, especially the one with sausage ragù, and chose a grilled wild boar steak with a long, appropriate marinade that made it tender and delicious, accompanied by carrots, eggplant, and excellent baked potatoes. A seasonal peach mousse to finish, accompanied by limoncello and bitters kindly offered by the owner. Honest and genuine house wine aplenty. The bill, €40.00, is very fair considering the quality and quantity of the super-good and digestible food. Thanks to all the kitchen staff and Resist the temptation of soulless food and stick with this heartfelt cuisine and service. We've been there many times and will be back soon.
A wonderful bowling alley, welcoming and courteous, food worthy of a Michelin-starred establishment, and truly affordable prices. The wild boar steak, pasta, and appetizers were exquisite. And last but not least, the quiet location, with a stunning view just a stone's throw from Turin.
Feels like home!!! The atmosphere is simple but clean and well-organized. It's always a party there! The service, run by young people, was impeccable. Traditional Piedmontese dishes, well-proportioned and well-cooked. The bill was more than fair for what we ate. Special mention: exceptional wine!!! Highly recommended!
Nice place, good food and pretty cheap
A simple bowling alley with friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful outdoor children's area.
Finally, a place that's informal, authentic, genuine, and above all, has its own personality! The guys work hard and are always kind and smiling! Congratulations! See you soon!
We were there a few days ago, just before winter. The staff were very kind and smiling. The place is familiar and welcoming. The food was generally well prepared. The appetizer, €15 (I could be wrong), was good quality but the portions were small. My wife had the pork shank and was happy, and I had a good risotto with pumpkin and amaretti. It's best to buy bottled wine. The price is reasonable. I'll definitely be back in the spring for an outdoor lunch. The road to get there is a bit winding. Recommended!
Long live authenticity. In a profusion of glitzy, gourmet, and glamorous venues, all vying for top spot in the rankings of trendiest places (... but where to go?) and transforming Turin into a seemingly unassuming open-air restaurant, you finally find yourself in a now-rare place—authentic, sincere, and welcoming in its simplicity—where, without frills, substance and overall pleasantness prevail. Parking is convenient and free, the panoramic terrace, furnished with tables and chairs, is stunning and enhances the hilly surroundings, the service is efficient and clearly customer-oriented, with prompt and friendly service. The food menu stays true to Piedmontese tradition (mixed appetizers, agnolotti with roast gravy, sausage ragù, marinated wild boar steak) but adds and alternates a few innovative touches that never fail to tantalize the taste buds (fusilli with salmon and zucchini, tuna fillet with fine herbs). Homemade bread and pasta, as was once the order of the day; soups and main courses are flavorful and well-seasoned (if anything, a little more wouldn't hurt); desserts, such as peach mousse, are exquisite in their simple goodness. Wines are available by the glass or in bulk for those who prefer them to a bottle. All things considered, the quality/price ratio is a plus. The clientele is diverse, some loyal, mostly polite and quiet, with few cell phones around and plenty of tranquility: a bonus. Closed Mondays, open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch only.
A meeting place for bocce lovers, but also a place for "homestyle" dining. The staff is courteous and helpful, attentive to the customers' requests; the service is quick and efficient, the dishes are well-prepared, and the food is delicious: a great place to spend a pleasant evening with friends. The only downside is the insects (mosquitoes and midges), which at dusk swoop down on the poor diners like leeches... A highly recommended place (and we also recommend carrying insect repellent spray 😄)
Four stars for the waiters' skill in managing multiple tables. Four stars for the location surrounded by greenery, overlooking the dense forest of the Turin hills. Three stars for the food... Average quality, fresh, average flavors, standard plating, and balanced portions, just like eating at home. It's the best place to hang out, laugh, and eat.
I returned to this bowling club after a couple of years because I'd always enjoyed it. I think they've changed management because, unlike previous visits, I had a really bad experience. The appetizers were bought at Metro or similar, the first courses were messy and tasteless. The second courses were ridiculously large, although my tagliata was not bad. I definitely need to reconsider the red wine in bulk. The staff, made up entirely of very young men and women, does what they can, but with the place full, it's not easy. Perhaps an extra 1-2 waiters wouldn't hurt, at least during the warmer months. My bill came to around €30-32, including mixed appetizers, tagliata di veal, 1 liter of wine, dessert (decent), and coffee. If I'd eaten well, it wouldn't have been expensive at all. It's a shame because the place is very nice.
