Also an excellent solution for lunch during the week.

Excellent food: excellent quality and well-cooked. Fast, courteous, and accurate service, despite the rush of the crowds. Pleasant and clean atmosphere. A full 9.

I discovered flavors of yesteryear with a delicious Piedmontese-style fritto misto, a welcoming place, and very friendly staff. I also liked the fact that you could eat slowly, without being rushed by overly fast service, so you could savor everything, chat, and enjoy the meal. Fair prices, we'll definitely be back for the paniscia 🤩

We went with a couple of friends, and we had a great time: the place is welcoming, the staff are incredibly friendly, and above all, the menu is delicious! They offer a full menu, or you can choose between an appetizer and two first courses, or an appetizer and a second course, followed by dessert and coffee. I tried the snails, which were delicious! They're traditional local dishes. Highly recommended.

We went last night for a family anniversary... even with our dog. Excellent snails bourguignonne, special fried frogs and fish, incredibly tender elephant ear... and the tomatoes? Freshly picked from their garden... definitely worth a try!!!

Definitely the best in the area when it comes to quality. Generous portions and flavorful dishes (just the right amount, never too much pepper or salt), including traditional dishes like paniscia. All at a fair price. You can tell the chef puts their heart and soul into it. Highly recommended.

Welcoming place, friendly and accommodating staff. The appetizers were well-received, the paniscia was a real highlight, the pappardelle with wild boar was loved by everyone, not just the wild boar. The roast veal with frittata was delicious, and for dessert, I recommend the amaretti and plum jam cake: unforgettable! The price is in line with other places. We'll be back.

On a hot Sunday in July, my husband, Valter, and I were riding through Tornaco on our Vespa and discovered this trattoria. We had lunch with a pickled tench appetizer, a main course of fried fish and chips, and a beautiful, delicious cake accompanied by gelato. A good glass of wine from the Novara hills was served. Everything was impeccable, and the bill was fair. We'll be back to try the panissa, the Piedmontese mixed fried fish we absolutely adore. This is the kind of restaurant we love: authentic Italian cuisine with its local traditions. Thank you, and see you soon.

I stumbled upon this trattoria by chance, but it left me with a taste of authentic, healthy home cooking. I'd love to return to try other dishes. The price was fair for that business lunch, and the hostess was truly hospitable.

Trattoria in the center of Tornaco, at the gateway to Lomellina. Discovered by chance while driving past. The atmosphere is welcoming, like any other trattoria. The food is excellent, both traditional Piedmontese and international, ranging from Piniscia and other delicious first courses, to snails, frogs, polenta, and wild boar, and of course various appetizers and platters of fried gnocco. The wine list is also excellent. The only drawback is the wait, so be patient. The quality/price ratio is good. Reservations are recommended on weekends. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Parking in front of the restaurant.

Dinner with friends. It was my first time there without any particular expectations, but I was completely disappointed. The appetizer was excellent, with mixed cold cuts and fried gnocco. The paniscia was excellent, and the desserts were delicious. I was completely satisfied and can only recommend the place. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Keep up the good work!

Very nice place and friendly staff. I had a mixed antipasto of cured meats, cream and walnut flakes, and fried frogs. Everything was very good, perhaps the prices were a bit above average. Anyway, I had a good time and recommend coming.

I came to this restaurant for Christmas lunch. The place is small but welcoming, very bright, and clean. We opted for their menu, which included various cured meats as an appetizer, two first courses, including a truly exquisite risotto and lasagna (though nothing special), and two second courses, a braised beef in Barolo and a capon, both very good. I was saddened not to receive something homemade for dessert, like a cake, since I was only served a slice of panettone or pandoro, but overall, everything was fine. The waiters were very kind, but the service overall was a bit confusing. In conclusion, the quality/price ratio was fair.

I'm sorry, but the dishes weren't to my liking. The starters weren't very tasty and a bit dry, but that's a matter of taste. An extra star for the ribs, which were really good. The service, however, wasn't the best. We were the first ones there, and they initially made us wait quite a bit. Then, as more customers arrived, the wait grew, especially since there was only one person serving, making coffee, and handling the cash register. If you pointed this out, he'd get defensive. Another waiter would have been helpful.

If we could give it a 0, we would. We booked late the night before for Sunday lunch. We need to be there by 12:15/30. We show up on time, the place is half empty. After 20 minutes, the owner/waitress/cook/jack-of-all-trades, I think, shows up and explains the off-menu items. Meanwhile, we try to read the menu, since we're being asked to order. Meanwhile, other people arrive in the restaurant... they take their orders... and around 1:10 PM, a few dishes appear for the other tables. The so-called waiter doesn't even know what's going on. We ask about our dishes and get no response except when I ask him in a loud, annoyed voice where we are, since the others are eating lunch. The owner/cook, etc., arrives, after another reminder. She apologizes, yes, but she also gets annoyed when we point out that it's 1:25 PM and we've only had water and wine. We're fed up and leave 😡 Answer... and go somewhere else. My dear lady, maybe the food is good there, WE'LL NEVER FIND OUT, but we'll give you some advice: organize yourself better, hire someone to help at least on Saturdays and Sundays, or change jobs, which might be better. SEE YOU NEVER AGAIN

We arrived at 12:45, the first course was served at 2:20. I've been here twice before and have only seen three people running the place, so it's not a day-to-day mix-up; the other times, we were lucky the room was empty. It seems disrespectful to the customer to take reservations and know you won't be able to serve them in a reasonable time. Panissa costs €12 but only three and a half spoons; you can't be sure you'll have the pan in the center of the table to serve yourself. The waiter, probably realizing the small quantity, says he'll be back for more, but unfortunately he then says he doesn't have any left. It also tasted like pasta and beans; the sausage wasn't noticeable. Negative review.
