Tertulia Troncal Central Reviews
So many great choices! I settled for the Steak chimichurri and the chicharrón appetizer. He steak was perfect and I couldn’t stop picking at the chicharrón. Everything else on the menu are really good as well. You won’t be disappointed.
Amazing in every way... food, service, price
This restaurant is phenomenal. The greatesthing you can ask for in a busy city like Boston is 5 ⭐️ hole in the wall places like this Tertulia‼️ The service from Yuli was awesome: she made my drinks so well, she was very warming and you can tell she is a hard worker 💕 I appreciated meeting Gildardc the owner. He came out, chatted with us and you can tell he loves this place, it’s home. Thank yall for making us feel so welcome and providing us GREAT FOOD!
This is the most good restaurant ever in East Boston, good food, good team work. In short words this is my social space for take eat a good food and taking a relaxing moment family and friends.
Went for dinner with a couple of friends. It has a cozy vibe, and the restaurant was full when we reached. We ordered some calamari, pasta, tacos, arepa and a shrimp salad. All the dishes were delicious and the portion sizes were generous. We also ordered some margaritas, and the mango margarita was brilliant. Would highly recommend this place for some South American cuisine. The staff is very friendly and warm as well!
Food is really good. The only thing really don't like is the music is too loud. So we have to talk louder ☺️ but service is amazing clean place. Margaritas delicious
I used them to cater food for a retirement party......the food was GREAT...very large portions.....very inexpensive especially for a retirement luncheon. Came all the way from Boston to Burlington. The service was great. I am a very picky eater.....I tried everything. It was AWESOME !!!
Great food and drinks! I highly recommend dining here very consistent in quality and service.... you may have to wait just a bit....but so worth the wait! I live in the neighborhood and it's definitely one of my go to places to eat. I am a manager for Hilton Hotels and send my guests here for a great Columbian/Venezuelan dining experience! Calvin C.
Small space. Not a lot table space. Efficient but not overly friendly service. Good drinks. Food is tasty but heavily salted.
Tertulias Cafe in East Boston offers a cozy, inviting atmosphere and a menu that celebrates authentic Latin American flavors. Known for its warm ambiance and friendly staff, this cafe is a local favorite for those seeking a mix of traditional and modern Latin-inspired dishes. The menu includes a variety of flavorful options, such as arepas, empanadas, and hearty breakfasts, each prepared with fresh ingredients and an emphasis on authenticity. Their coffee is also excellent, featuring rich, smooth brews that pair well with pastries or breakfast options. One of the standout items is their Venezuelan-style arepas, filled with perfectly seasoned meats and fresh toppings, which are both satisfying and delicious. Tertulias also offers freshly-made juices and smoothies that add a refreshing touch, especially popular during the warmer months. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and happy to provide recommendations. Prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for a casual meal or coffee break. While the space is small and can get busy, especially on weekends, it adds to the charm and community feel of the place. Overall, Tertulias Cafe Restaurant provides an authentic taste of Latin America in the heart of East Boston, making it a must-visit for both locals and newcomers.
The food got greasy and the lack of taste was down too. The empanadas were so oily. I love they made them in-house but they need to change the oil and raise the temp.
Food is good but unfortunately the waitress aren't as attentive since the first couple of times I been there. You have to keep getting thier attention if you need something. I guess go around night time if you want better service
Don't come to this place for Venezuelan arepas. They were not fresh, probably bought at a supermarket frozen, and the filling was not good either. I got a passion fruit juice that had too much water and little fruit flavor. Disappointing. No luck today. But I don't think I'll be back.
I’m really disappointed with my experience. Delivery took almost two hours, and when the food finally arrived it was cold. My order was missing the rice, the soup had very little flavor, the steak was tough and not good, and the beans were completely bland with no salt. For the time and money spent, this was extremely frustrating. I was expecting much better quality.
I'm so disappointed, I went last Saturday and suffered food poisoning 😫, at soon as I got there, I had the impression the place wasn't clean and was smelly but didn't follow my instincts. My food was disgusting the [Terra and mar dish..] The meat looked like it was 100 years saved in the fridge. I wasn't able even to cut the meat with the snife...super hard, I just ate half of the portion but was enough to keep me in the bathroom the whole night..plus one of the girl waitresses was super mean not polite, the whole time she was acting mean towards us, with some nasty attitude, like we were eating there for free.. I will definitely never go back there and not recommend it..
Coming from a hispanic background I was very excited to try this place. Bad experience overall. I ordered arepas venezolanas to go. The arepa was very dried and hard. The refried beans were very salty and even had a hair on my food. Presentation was grotesque and messy. Reina pepiada lacked flavor. Hopefully they improve after my review.
