I have eaten here twice. The food was amazing freshly cooked so it was hot. The atmosphere and music was good. You were welcomed as soon as you walked in the door. Definitely would recommend.

For down home comfort food the Twisted Kitchen has food that bursts with amazing flavors. It is all good!!!!!!!!!!! And it is good always!!!!! Collard greens, yams, and seasoned chicken was my dinner tonight….its sooooooooo good!! I am a regular customer at the Twisted Kitchen. In my firm assessment you are an unreasonable customer that entertains your own personal folly. Businesses that accept you as a customer open themselves to a vitriol backlash because you refuse to say five words “can you redo my order.” While you have a right to your concerns I have a right to mine My first concern is that your criticism of the Twisted Kitchen has the ear mark of a plant or someone whose motives were premediated to destroy the perception of integrity and reputation of the restaurant and the owners prior to entering the establishment. In fact, I earnestly believe you never had any intention of offering a fair review of the establishment or its food when you came. Why would you do that some would ask? So that you could cause people from not supporting the only soul food restaurant in Troy, owned by black doctors, civic leaders, Pastors and strong community leaders who have come together. In their professional collaboration they offer the local community a menu array that is excellent in flavor and service at an affordable price and is not available anywhere in the Capital District. Allow me to unfold your review. I am grown and when I have had an issue with the food or service in a restaurant I have shared those concerns in the moment giving the manager or owner notice and time to make amends. You never shared your concerns about the food with the owners according to your review. This suggests that you and your husband were so well treated that you made an intentional decision to stay and eat at their establishment, as many customers have, because who stays to eat in a restaurant if they were mistreated at the register? Did you bring your food back to the owner so they could refry your chicken and your fish? Additionally, I personally do not know how they cook their greens but I know they taste good but your review suggests otherwise. You announce with confidence that you ate Gloria’s Canned Collard Greens specifically. You sound like you have had associations with former disgruntled employees. How do you know where their collard greens come from? Were you given a tour of the kitchen? Did they outline for you their recipe and prep routine? And if it was canned. so what? Why is this important? If that was an issue for you and your husband did you announce your preference for fresh collard greens at the time of your order or that you may have had an allergy issue to canned goods if they actually use them. I don’t know if they use canned goods and I don’t care if they do, because they have some of the best food in the Capital District. Finally, you said you and your husband were sick all night. I was not sick that night after eating the same food and I gather there were no other complaints of being sick. How did you attribute it to the Twisted Kitchen unless you fasted all day and that was your first and last meal of the day at approximately 5pm? Finally, I have looked at your reviews of other establishments and you have a vindictive streak of pettiness that belies your intentions and my recommendation is for all business that see you and your husband coming THEY SHOULD PROCEED WITH CAUION BEFORE offering you services or products! To entertain your presence at their business is to put AT RISK their hard work, their community reputation and their means to feed and support their families. If they are willing to risk it, serve on! But ALERT, ALERT, ALERT!!!!!! ALL BUSINESSES BEWARE – SERVE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

Food was so good I had to call and tell them how good the food was. I haven’t had that since I moved up here. Phenomenal and the prices amazing

The food was very good, the owner gave me an extra chicken sandwich which was awesome. The food took allitle long but it was understandable because the guy was by himself. Would highly recommend trying it out, always support your neighbors!!!

The food is great feels like a southern meal. The food was hot and tasteful. The staff is very nice & upbeat, they gave me some insite about the food selection on the menu which was great. My family ordered a lot of food. Thanks everyone you guys rock, go here you will not be disappointed. & Don’t miss out on Mrs.T deserts omg you will fall in love ❤️❤️

Food & service is great . Food was hot & the cook got it out fast I recommend the tropical chicken & the party I booked with them was well put together loud music karaoke and lights food was all included twisted kitchen cool aid with fresh natural fruit was my favorite… the 7 cheese Mac n cheese to die for this place is where it’s at

Visiting Troy I heard about this place I had to check it out. The food was great and the staff was nice too. Found out they have Karaoke on Saturdays will be checking that out. Thanks Tiffany

My husband ordered food from there and everything looked good until we tasted the food. The chicken was friend in old grease, the fish lacked flavor, the greens was not made by them it was canned greens Gloria’s to be specific. The only thing good was the mac and cheese. The next day after eating this food we have been throwing up non stop do not recommend eating here.

Chicken was full of bones . It was barely any meat and the lil Meat we could find was very dry . Yams were just filled with suguar flakes . I didn’t receive my beans . Macaroni was very watery and the baked Mac was filled with many different cheeses which was very hard at the top. I’m so sad because I was very hungry and excited to try it and was very disappointed.
