My Family and I stopped on our road trip here. I am very picky about Mexican restaurants didn’t had time see reviews before getting there. Wait time was about 10 minutes thank God because it was very hot outside and the waiting area is small. The place was full and it was warm inside. The food was delicious, good presentation, portions are big. Servers were at tentative. We had a great delicious meal. I would definitely recommend and would definitely stop again if I am ever in the area again.

My son brought me here for father's day I had the menudo he had a wet super burrito and my daughter had a kids tamale. Everything was great. Then came the fried ice cream it was even better.

It’s usually always busy which is a good sign. With that being said the service doesn’t miss a beat. The menu is quite large which is fine but it makes it hard to choose at times 🙂 but really you can’t go wrong. The classic’s never disappoint and they have options others don’t, including a low carb selections. Beers are cold and mixed drinks are delicious. Great seating especially for large families or friends

Awesome good staff, I like the skinny Mexican American server with the heavy accent when he speak english, the big one and the buff guy…I went to School with Memo … Turlock High 96 and good friends with Ben and Mike Murphy. We love this place. If you can make any improvements I would change the Fajitas and make it in sizzling grill and make it not too pricy, about that I was very disappointed. I would give 6 stars to the staff and atmosphere… thank you for lighting up our lives!!!

My wife and I went here for lunch and it was our first visit. It's a fun festive place. The food is good and the portions are big. My wife had chicken fajitas and I had the one item combo. This is also a good place for a family or friends lunch or dinner.

Had the pleasure of celebrating my mom's 70th birthday here. We were able to rent out the patio area for a private party and let me tell you, the food and the service was spectacular! 5 star service, I cannot thank the staff enough for a pleasant time.

The purpose of this review is to explain how the Tesla charging stations work. Before I asked to have the Tesla charger turned on I asked the manager on the floor what the details were regarding when using that Tesla charger. She stated that the Tesla chargers are for paying customers only and that the Tesla chargers have a one hour limit. They can continuously turn on the Tesla charger as long as you are in the restaurant. I was able to charge my model 3 for 2 hours giving me about a 100 miles of range or so. The food is delicious so it's a win win as long as you remember to have them turn on the Tesla charger continuously. It's not a supercharge station. The closest supercharging stations are In Mateca Ca and Fresno Ca

Appetizer of Garlic mushrooms and chicken with toms, avos, shred lettuce. Excellent! Grilling that chick first, made that dish. Garlic butter sauce was soooo yummy. The soup of the day: (Monday) Pozole. GET IT! THE CHUNKS OF PORK were insane! The flavors were rich, and the additions were the right touch. Onions, cabbage sliced radishes, and limes. Thank you for the right thickness to be able to cook enough to maintain some firmness.

Came on Valentine’s Day they were of course extremely busy but that didn’t prevent them from being exceptional. Had interactions with four different people and all were great! Our server was so funny and personable and the kind manager picked up on visual ques that I was cold and asked me if I’d like him to turn off the fan. That type of service goes a long way! And the burrito and fajitas were incredible!

Went here with my girlfriend on New Year’s Day. We were sat down immediately and were given great chips and dip right away. I had a modelo with the burrito loco. Amazing food. Bacon wrapped shrimp was a blast. Heavy but delicious. My main meal was Enchiladas and some of the best I’ve had. Would have taken a picture but was too hungry. Service was very prompt and engaging. Almost convinced us to have dessert if we weren’t so full. Highly recommended.

You do get an appetizer at the start which is chips and salsa/guacamole. Dined with family and we were all accommodated well. We dined on a Monday night so it wasn’t as busy as fri and the weekends. Service was quick, friendly. Alcohol drinks were large and strong( we ordered top shelf). I couldn’t decide on a protein so I ordered off menu that had all three choices on one plate. Shrimp, steak, and chicken. Large portions, a little too salty for my taste, but overall enjoyed the meal. Don’t fill up on the delicious refried beans, salsa and chips before dinner entree is served! If you can’t stop eating them, you will definitely have a take home container for your lunch the next day!

Amazing customer services. This is my first review, but I've been to this particular Las Casuelas numerous times. Always love enjoying a meal here, whether it's in the bar area or dining. This visit, like other visits was awesome and I am always happy with my visit and food. My family and I really enjoyed our food!! Customer service was outstanding, because it was a busy night. This was a nice place to stop after a day of shopping in the area. Good food, quick service. Margaritaswere very tasty.

Food was very good 👍. Service was a little weak. Our server seemed rushed and got some orders wrong even though it was ordered quite clearly. It was Mother's Day, so maybe he was not used to being that busy. 😕 but the food was good. We did feel rushed even though we were at the end of the rush time and lots of empty tables as we ate out Food.

I always get the burrito wet style with the Chipotle sauce. It comes covered in it and if youve seen my reviews im very partial to chipotle. Definitely heavy on the rice but thats lunch special for you. Some things on the menu are really good and some things are not. The menu is like when you havent got your mail in weeks and inside theres 800 adverts for every local grocery store bulging out. It has hundreds of items on it, several pages. The staff are always great.

The food was good. Our server was awesome, providing our party of 8 with some great ideas for our table. In the end we all decided on different plates. I got the chimichangas, they were good, though smaller than what I have had in the past. My husband had the mole. It was good. My brother in law and sister in law shared the molcajete. We ate at this restaurant on Father's Day around 5PM. Let me tell you. It was packed! The wait time was about 30 plus minutes. That wouldn't be such a big deal, except it was 101°F outside. I waited outside for a bit, but I got too hot and waited inside where there was AC. There are about 2 benches inside the waiting lobby. So, not a lot of space to wait. The employees don't ask for your phone number. They just yell your name, and if you don't hear them and tell them you're there, they'll move on. So, you cannot wait inside your car. In about 25 minutes, my party of 6 was able to snag a table. We didn't really have one server. There were many servers trying their best to please the guests. But, they were fast and attentive. They often asked if everything was okay or if we needed any refills. So, overall, good service on a very busy day. The drinks were fine. The lemonade tasted like lemon water, not strong at all. The food was good. I enjoyed my Fiesta Taco salad. It was a huge Taco shell. Ironically, my boyfriend who ordered a Taco truck-styled burrito got his meal the last. Keep in mind for picky eaters that they might not get all the customizations correct. One party member asked for no cheese on his beans, but still got cheese on his beans. We still had fun at this restaurant and enjoyed ourselves. It was pretty loud, so you'll need to speak up just to talk to the persom next to you. But, it's a nice, lively atmosphere. Overall, a good experience!

She took my son's drink and never brought it back. We finally got someone else who was not our server to bring him another one and also refill our drinks. 9 times out of 10 this place is perfectly fine, but when it's not good, it's REALLY not good. Yesterday I went to dinner with my parents and I'm pretty sure our waiter was either drinking on the job or IDK what. And I think the cook might've had a couple drinks too. I ordered carnitas and my parents ordered the queso birria tacos with a side of chicken soup for my dad. My carnitas came out in literally 5 minutes. 🤨 My dad's soup came 2 minutes later and half of the soup was spilled onto the holding plate. My mom's birria tacos came out another 5 minutes later and the broth in the saucer was half spilled onto the holding plate and tacos and they were nasty greasy. My dad's birria tacos never came, but the chicken soup was so bad we decided not to say anything anyway. My mom could barely stomach the grease on the tacos, so we didn't even ask for a box. And the only thing with my carnitas is, it wasn't bad but it came out so fast, I automatically thought it was somebody else's order. The waiter seemed confused and kinda hyper. The soup SEEMED like it was at least a day old, not saying it was. And even looking at Mom's order, I thought, I prolly wouldn't eat that. Should've took pictures, but I wasn't thinking. I'm giving a good rating because this place is usually really good, especially the birria tacos. But we prolly won't go back for a long time after that outing. That was a FAIL across the board. Sorry.

This place came highly recommended by some clients. I attempted to try it twice on the weekend but they were very busy. Being a single diner, I do not like to take up a table during busy times, so I returned on a Monday evening. To my surprise, they were busy even then. This was a promising sign. Service was excellent. They were attentive, prompt, professional and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful. Decor was warm and the staff were engaging. The food, however, was not nearly as pleasant. It wasn’t bad, just flavorless. It was cooked adequately, just void of seasoning. The only redemption for the food was the salsa left with the chips. It was on point and saved the meal from being a complete bust.

Overall just average nothing good this place used to be super good but quality has been going down. Got a “taco truck” burrito for $17 was very average and Disappointed no spicy salsa green sauce anything tasted plain and boring. Excellent Service, Mild Flavor. I stayed in a nearby hotel one night and tried Las Casuelas for dinner. We were seated quickly and had prompt, courteous service all night. They started with a basket of chips, a bowl of salsa and a bowl of refried beans. A great idea, however the salsa was as tasty as a bowl of ketchup and the beans were equally bland. I asked if they had salsa with a little more flavor and they promptly brought a bowl of a much more flavorful blend. I had the Garlic Bowl with Shrimp. It was good but again, bland. Upon request they brought a couple slices of lime. I squeezed some fresh lime over it and added some of the flavorful salsa and viola, amazing! My traveling companion had a super burrito and had the same problem with the lack of interesting flavors. To be fair, I do live in a West Coast town with multiple, really good, authentic, Mexican restaurants, so I am used to good flavors from different regions. Las Casuelas may have to bland it down to satisfy the needs of an older, traveling public or something, because they have the flavors on hold in the kitchen, just ask!

Good place to get good service. The mixed drinks are awesome! The last time I was there I went with something completely different than what I normally order. I ordered the chicken mole. When I got the mole, the presentation looked amazing, but when I saw bare colored parts of the chicken, I suspected it was boiled chicken breast with mole sauce poured over. I was really hoping to be wrong because that's not the right way to make mole, but upon cutting the first piece I realized I was correct. They used boiled chicken breast (unseasoned it seems) then they pour the mole sauce onto it and sprinkle some sesame seed. Traditionally, youre supposed to cook the chicken and the mole together. I get that this is probably more efficient, but the quality isn't there. I didn't finish it because the chicken was too bland.

I went to this restaurant for the first time for a work Christmas party and it was all around pretty good. I had the milanesa and I enjoyed it but it was nothing to write home about considering the meal plus non-alcoholic drink was about $30 I was with a larger group of 13 people so I won't complain how the food took a while to fully arrive at the table, but I was not entirely impressed with the service. With so many people, you would expect staff to check in to make sure everyone was satisfied with their meal and to refill drinks regularly, but that didn't happen, and any needs and requests had to happen by flagging down a staff member from across the room for help. Overall just a very average restaurant experience. I wouldn't be opposed to coming here again but I also would not go out of my way to come here.

This place used to be one of the best places in Turlock. The food isn’t as good as it used to be, the service has really declined, and the margaritas aren’t very good. We used to go here 1-2 times a month. Now it’s more like 1-2 times a year. Tonight we went hoping the quality would be back but it was worse. It took 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken, another 15 for our food order to be taken- and that was only after we asked. The order was wrong when we got it, and the food was medicore at best. We ordered a second round of drinks when we got our food, and the server forgot to make them.

I ordered a beef molcajete. And compared to other restaurants where I've ordered the same plate this was the worse. Other restaurants had nopal, chorizo and slices of cheese added. This molcajete the only thing that was included was slices of radish. My wife ordered Camarones a la Diabla, this plate only had 6 shrimps and the salsa tasted like tabasco sauce.

We have been eating at this place for years with always great food, we were there a week ago and the food was terrible. The shrimp, chicken and beef were exceptionally tough. It left such a bad taste in my wife's mouth she was burping it for days. Not going back again!

Probably some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever sat down at, and I’ve had Mexican food in Montana so this is a disgrace to Mexican food. I come in sit down with my lady, the waiter for some reason has no not pad out and precedes to wing it handing my order to the back, get my order completely wrong because I guess we don’t train waitstaff with notepads. Had probably some of the worse rice I’ve ever touched my tongue that tasted like it was made the on a car radiator. I’ve waited at the border crossing and had better rice and beans from street vendors then this sit down establishment. Whoever is waitstaff management should retrain there staff how to use a pen and paper since grown adults are unable to.

Recently, I had the occasion to dine at this establishment with a sizable group of family members. After being seated, our orders were taken and everything seemed to be in order. However, upon receiving our food, we were disappointed to find that the portions were very small and the prices were elevated. Every single plate was unsatisfactory, ranging from being excessively salted to completely lacking in salt, and the portions were meager, with only three shrimps on each plate. Several plates were returned to the kitchen. As a Mexican from Washington, I have never encountered such underwhelming Mexican food. Our table's bill amounted to $825.00, which was not commensurate with the quality of the food. I would advise you to seek alternative dining options. Regrettably, none of us at our table were able to enjoy our meals and we departed feeling let down and still hungry.

They willingly did it at no cost, but when I ordered enchiladas and asked for cheese because I didn't want meat... they literally stuffed my enchiladas with Mexican cheese. I was dumbfounded considering my son ordered a kids meaL enchilada and got actual melted cheese as ENCHILADAS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. I returned my meal and they took it back at no charge. At this point I gave up and ate nothing. My friend got the appetizer taquitos and the chicken was flavorless. The best thing I had to taste was the salsa and the guacamole. What urked me is that the waitress out of nowhere without asking just came up and gave the check to us assuming we were done. Service sucks and food was not that good either.

Las Casuelas management and staff provided us with the most horrendous customer service my family and I have ever experienced. We arrived 5/9 for Mother’s Day (party of 9), we checked in and were let know it would be a 45 min wait. Customers were arriving after us in groups of 4 and 5 and were being seated before us. We then asked the ladies working in the front if they could just split our group in half (4&5) so we could get seated sooner. They had told us that was not possible. We were confused as to why our request was not possible. We decided to wait. 2 hours went by and no luck. Groups of 4&5 continued to walk in after us and were seated before us. At that point we had asked to speak to the manager as to why they could not split us. The front ladies were 1. Not only rude 2. Continuously raised their voice at us and were adamant they could not split our party. This was not only disrespectful and embarrassing for my family and I, but Las Casuelas management was even worse when they intervened. The managers stepped in and said we had no right in getting upset with their staff and accused us of “yelling” at their staff when the staff were extremely rude to us and raising their voice at us because we kept asking if they could split our table. We should have left after they had us waiting for so long but we had children with us who were hungry and did not want to go wait at another restaurant. We will not be coming back to this establishment. Whether the food is excellent or not, customer service is why customers return to a restaurant. We will give credit to the two servers (young men) who did take care of us despite the way their front end treated us. To the managers and rude ladies in the front, I suggest working on your customer service or getting retrained on how to treat your clientele.

I went with my friend and her 1 year old daughter. My friend had gotten the enchilada plate which was obviously hot, with visibly hot food. The waitress, Angelina, sets the plate down in front the my one year old niece. To shorten the story, my niece was burned and now has blisters on her hand. My friend had to get up and leave to help her daughter before she even got to her food. Angelina walks over and asks “Is there a problem here?” My friend explains her daughter just burned her hand, and the waitress goes “oh sorry”. We ended up getting the meal compensated which was appreciated, but as Angelina hands back our receipt, she scoffs in our face. The baby was simply being a baby trying to eat, the adults at the table were trying to get situated, but because of Angelina’s carelessness, my niece burned her hand and we didn’t get to enjoy our limited time together. This service was not good, not okay, not acceptable in any way. The least Angelina could have done was show compassion and that she was sorry.

About a month ago, I went here with a couple of my friends for dinner. The hostess said the wait would be 45 minutes which we were fine with until we ended up waiting an hour and a half. Eventually, when we got our table, the food wasn't even good. Very few menu selections that were not very descriptive. Won't ever eat here again or recommend to anyone.

The host was rude, like she was over her job. Not very friendly at all just kept answering everyone with attitude as they came in .

We never got to the food part. We walked in and got immediately seated in the bar area. Sat for awhile, while watching the girl run around. We waited….. A man comes in and sits down and immediately has chips and salsa, refried beans, and a drink. We got up to leave and I spoke to the manager on the way out. He offered to fix it “right now” but it was too late.

Waiter was very rude. Waitier at location was being very rude with very poor humor. Waiter was recommended me to go over to other establishment since he couldnt meet my simple needs of an appetizer. I wouldn’t recommend this place to eat.

Their service not so great and their Manager Melissa was even worse. Instead of accommodating a big group because they had a new waitress they broke us all up in different areas to accommodate them and their staff. Our soccer girls all sat separate vs together. Because their lack of accommodation I will never go back.

Last four times I have taken my family here during lunch hours, weekday and on weekends, the service has been very poor. The last service we waited over 20mins and no one came to our table to take our order, so we ended up leaving without ordering anything except a few waters and 1 soda, which was provided by our host. This review is for lunch service only, the wait staff seems to be non existent and inattentive when they are. Dinner service never had a problem they do really well and the food tastes good.

Ended up getting sick from eating here. The oil tasted either old or something because everything cooked in it had an off putting tasted. We told the server the milanesa was not good, my friend only took a few bites. 2/3 people in our group ended up sick the next day. Worst service and experience

Large chicken bone in my shredded chicken burrito supreme. I was enjoying my food until chewing on a small chicken bone, continuing onto another bite and I almost choked on a second larger bone shown in the photo. This place usually is good the few times I've been in the past but I won't be going back after this.

Their take on chicken molcajete is a pound of cheese, flavored with delicious sauce and topped with chicken. Honestly save yourself $24.00 and go somewhere else. Although, the half of avacado and two orange slices were delicious! Below Chicken to Cheese ratio, isn't that disgusting! Come on guys who eats /needs that much cheese?!

The chile was not spicy and it tasted like nothing, the service was very friendly and happy. The food was awful and had no flavor , wasn’t hot at all , don’t ever go to this restaurant, for I am a big foods person this restaurant didn’t reach my expectations no wonder it’s hidden in the corner tbh it should stay there. The dessert was delicious.

Don’t waste your time! I’m not a picky guy, and never write reviews, but nothing was redeemable! It smells like urine, the menus were sticky, the shredded chicken looked like minced cat food. I know this seems harsh but every single item was below subpar. I should have gone to Taco Bell!

If you order the vegetarian fajitas, PLEASE ask if the beans are vegetarian or not. I order the vegetarian fajitas and my server served me beans with meat without acknowledging the meal being vegetarian . Also, to add on, I told her about the beans and my meal being vegetarian and she gave me annoyed looked .

I went to dinner with my friend last night, and we both woke up with food poisoning. Please, save yourself the stomach ache. 🤢 I should have known, after the bean dip tasted like week-old chicken 😷

This was my first, and will be my last time visiting this restaurant chain. I was there celebrating a family member's birthday. The waiter apparently wasn't able to take orders or understand what we were ordering. Several of our dishes arrived mixed up and half of the food on one plate and half on the other. Which made it hard for us to figure out which plate went where. They couldn't get simple things like who ordered red or green sauce correct. At least 5 or so of our orders were completely screwed up... I ordered a 2 item combo but the waiter said I didn't when everyone at the table clearly heard me order it. When my food arrived the rice was barely warm with many pieces being hard and possibly uncooked. The rest of my meal was sub-par to be honest. When it came time to pay my bill, they wouldn't even let me pick the amount of tip I wanted to give. No instead they charged the highest possible amount without my consent. The waiter came out and gave some excuse about not being able to pick your tip on parties over a specific size. I am shocked at the lack of care provided to us, I feel like we were not seen as customers but as a potential profit margin. Los Casuelas has lost me as a future customer not to mention the other people in our party who were affected by such poor food and service.

So because this WAS a family favorite, we decided to drive out there for lunch from Visalia. First of all, our waitress took our order, brought our food and we never saw her again, until I asked for the bill. She never checked in on us and we never got refills or anything else we needed. My food, which I ordered with no onions, came with EXTRA ONIONS! I waited to see if she, or anyone else, would come by so I could show her/them my food because I'm allergic to onions. But since no one ever did, I just picked them out. After sitting and waiting for a while for the bill, I asked a girl cleaning the tables for it and she went to get the waitress. When she finally came back, I showed her my food which she acknowledged that she wrote "no onions" on the order, but that she didn't check it. I showed her the ridiculous pile of onions that were in my food and she said she would see what she could do. She came back and stated her manager said there was nothing she could do because I ate half of it. I explained to her I did because she never checked on us and there was no one around to tell them. She said it was because she was on her break! So apparently if you are on break, no one else checks on you! We literally drove 2 hours for horrible service. This place definitely lost our business. Good job management and waitress 👏 👏 👏 👏.
