Popeyes Turlock Reviews
Food was good, but I ordered a family meal with 2 legs, 2 thighs and 2 breasts and they told me since it was a "custom" order they'd need 20 minutes to make it. What type of chicken place doesn't have chicken cooked already? Lol. At least it was fresh....
Smallest drive thru ever, full of cement and cones to hit so I hate the drive through. I waited 10 minutes just for me to place my order, then another 10 for my food. Would not come here for “fast food “ There is good deals on the app but on the menu in the drive through they only show the way more expensive options. Use the app if you go:)
The fries were cold. I had to get off because they were not in my bag so I saw her scoop the “fresh” Fries in. The mac & cheese crust was also very thick. I don’t mind a crust on mac & cheese However, once you bite into it, The texture is off and very very oily. Couldn’t eat it. The sandwich was good.
This location ran real good when they first opened up few years ago. Now the service quality is really hit & miss. The chicken is usually tasty and hot, but it seems like over 50% of the chicken pieces are mostly skin and breading with just barely a decent amount of meat, especially the wings and thighs. Although, the legs and breasts are usually nice and meaty (as you would expect). However... there seems to be a trend towards lower service standards. For awhile now, I've noticed that the street sign is turned off during business hours, probably to make potential customers think that the store is closed, so the employees can easily clean up and leave the store right at closing time. I know about this trick because I pulled this same trick when I worked in the restaurant business in the mid-1970's. Also, more than once, I have seen a sign on the locked lobby door in the evening and late afternoon hours saying that the lobby / counter area is temporarily closed due to maintenance issues. Then the sign instructs to use the drive-thru instead. When we got to the drive-thru and tried to order a chicken sandwich, nope... sold out. Then we tried to order some wings, nope... sold out. At this point, I got so annoyed that I gave up and drove off to KFC down the street. Question: Were they really sold out (at 8:45 p.m.), or maybe they just didn't want to cook anymore tonight for easier and quicker cleanup at closing time? Hopefully upper management will notice this trend or see this review and whip this store back into shape. This store was usually busy most of the time, but now... I don't see much activity at this location anymore. I think the customers are just tired of the inconsistencies in service and unpredictability. Sincerely, a concerned, but loyal Popeyes customer.
First time eating there. Ordered online. Instructed to go to drive-thru. Waited for 6 cars. Could've gone in. Wasn't told that. Missing: Coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet tea, buttermilk dressing; all on my receipt. But the worst was the shrimp were NOT DEVEINED! The "vein" is actually the poop line for the shrimp. I ate many before seeing the poop line. Definitely cannot go back there!!!
This is a rough one. Great franchise, but I won't recommend this location. Our service was slow - the order taker was confused and ultimately got the order wrong. Let me correct that - we paid for 5 meals and received four of them. We've tried this location twice, both times they messed up the order on top of being slow. That said, your experience may be perfect... good luck!
Dont go to this Popeyes! They took 10 minutes to get my food out when there was no one else in the drive through, then when I got back with my food the biscuit was burnt and I was only give! 1 sauce for a large meal.
First off we ordered 2 different meals and was completely wrong. Didn’t know it until I got home. Secondly was told to pull to the side because one of the orders wasn’t ready yet. That’s fine but does it take 15 minutes for the order. Get home and open the box the food was in and lo and behold both biscuits were hard as a rock. The only thing that was fine were mash potatoes and the honey pack. Worst experience I have ever had. Unbelievable.
The food is fine when it isn't cold. I wish I worked here, since apparently I could be absent from my duty all day. Several times I have come here, the only customer, and found myself waiting minutes only for nobody to become available to help me. This place is an argument for replacing servers with automation- then I would actually make a purchase instead of leaving empty-handed with my time wasted.
We went here for the first time today after church for some lunch. The food tasted like it was leftover from the day before. The 9 pcs chicken tender meal tasted stale, extremely dry and rubbery. My kids threw away 6 tenders, most of the fries, and 3 biscuits. They never waste food, but this wasn’t even food it was awful. I DO NOT recommend Popeyes.
Haven't been for a long time thought I'd try again. Bad choice. Ordered ahead and still had to wait for 25 minutes for my order. He first tried to give me the wrong order. When he finally gave me my order I didn't look at it until I got home. Supposed to be 5 Piece tenders. Not sure what it was but not like the tenders they used to serve. More like McNuggets. Won't be back to this store.
I went through the drive-through for 10 minutes to tell me that they don’t have the item anymore I haven’t been back to that Popeyes in 3 years and it’s the same as it was back in bad service
Waited 20mins in front of the speaker ready to order. When they did take my order I drove up to the window and they took my order again and made me wait more cause somehow they missed it. They gave me no sauce and when they handed me my drink she said “I gave you a large cause the car in front of you didn’t want it” avoid this place
I’m not sure what’s up with that place but the person that served was nice but the food was not the fry’s where cold the beens smelled like Burnt wires and chicken was cold and like rubber. Would I go back probably not.
So a few days ago I went in and let me tell you all I'm extremely disappointed with Popeyes, the customer service I received from Madison was by far the worst I have ever received. she failed to provide the most basic level of customer service and was extremely rude and giving me an attitude, after I waited for almost 15 min for my order and my fries were cold. I will never return to this location
Parked for over 20 mins then told I would have to wait even longer because the ran out of classic, then bring my a single bag so full it was almost impossible to check in the cab of a truck, got home and a missing multiple items multiple ideas were wrong. Glad I got about 60 dollars of my 90 dollar order
Waiting 10 minutes for supposedly fresh chicken.. this chicken we got was not fully cooked 😡🤬 spent 40.00 for half cooked chicken 😡🤬 if I could give half a star I would ! Never going back to this place ! Definitely driving to Ceres to get Popeyes!! Sad that we live here in Turlock and have to drive to ceres because the Popeyes here in Turlock sucks🤬🤬 I forgot to add that the biscuits were hard as a rock 🪨 🤬
If I could rate this lower, I would! We have had issues before with this location but usually they are just out of everything. Let me start by saying we ordered this through doordash and this was of ZERO FAULT of doordash or the driver. We ordered two 5-piece spicy strips and one chicken sandwich meal. When the food arrived, we were missing the chicken sandwich meal completely and both chicken strips were overcooked to the point if you bent a piece of chicken, instead of tearing apart nice and juicy, it snapped in half like a cookie! I have had good Popeyes (Livingston, Modesto locations). It was so hard to chew we gave up. Not only that but when I opened the buttermilk ranch it smelled off. I then tasted a dab of it, and I almost puked from the sour taste, and I love their buttermilk ranch. It was clear this ranch had been sitting out not refrigerated at all or had simply gone bad but was still served. I was really trying to let this go but considering I spent $65 total for this meal, I requested a refund from doordash and they did refund my money. However, there is some SERIOUS QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES at this location that needs to be addressed by upper management. YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO GET SOMEONE SICK OR WORSE!
I was elated when I first heard Popeyes was coming to town . My first trip changed that !! The drive through is the worst I've ever been through . I have received wrong orders. Today took the cake . We ordered our food . We were told to wait in a stall . We weren't given our drinks. They were out of rice and beans . They didn't give us our drinks . We asked for a receipt they were out of receipt paper. I give this place 6 months longer. Also no napkins . Lol 😆
