We eat at a lot of restaurants and have tried many Korean BBQ places. Only the best keep us coming back and Zip BBQ is one of them. In fact, it is the best value for lunch anywhere in Orange County, maybe even in Socal area. The meat quality here is top notch. You get premium, perfectly marbled meat with great side dishes. Check out the pictures I attached. The yuzu brisket (2nd pic) is amazing. Just grill each piece for 15 seconds and taste it by itself. This alone is better than even some Michelin-starred meals I've had. The service is great as well. Shout-out to Damian who was incredibly attentive and friendly. We throughly enjoyed our meal here. Don't miss this place if you're in Orange County. Their All you can eat lunch at $25 is an incredible deal!

We came in at 3pm and had a great time with amazing food and service. The salad had the most amazing dressing on it and their radish and kimchi was also soo yummy!!! Ben and Damian offered such great service and were so kind and fun to talk to.

Came here for dinner and it was so good! The price is great for all you can eat Korean BBQ. The meat was great quality and the sides were delicious. The service was excellent and all the staff was friendly and helpful. The corn cheese and egg sides were also delicious. For meats it all seemed so fresh which was really nice. Everything felt fresh and not frozen. In the end the meat and sides were delicious and service was friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed it and will be back!

First time here with my husband and had a wonderful experience. The food was incredibly delicious, the service was above and beyond. The young lady who waited on us was extremely attentive and make sure we always got everything we ordered within a reasonable timeframe. I really wish I had caught her name so I could shout out to her in my review. I guess I'll have to go back and hunt her down next time haha! All of the meats were superb, but the beef tongue was probably by far the best I've ever had. The thinly shaved meat cooked up perfect and was incredibly tender and delicious. The price was fair and the food was amazing and the service was a platinum star. Only gripe was that the music was too loud. It sounded like we were in a night club and not a restaurant. My husband ended up sitting next to me in the booth seat because he couldn't hear a word I was saying over the table through the music. Aside from that, though, the entire experience was wonderful. We will be back!!

I came here with a friend, we were both craving Korean BBQ and this spot popped up on our map. Quality of the meat was excellent, sides were delicious, and I treated myself to the grape drink with popping pearls and it was a great accompaniment. Personally, I’ve moved away from AYCE bbq spots because I feel like I can never appreciate the meal fully. Again, the quality of the meat was really good, and we even had leftover food to take home later for another full meal. Service was great, our server was really attentive and made sure we had enough sides throughout our meal. I’ll have to come back again with friends again!

(Updated Review 8/25/2024) Zip has return their “All You Can Eat” menu! Quality of meat was great! Their Ribeye Steak and Beef Tonge seemed to be of prime quality with good marbling and no signs of gristle. Our server was able to provide a side of beef fat to help cook our meats, which was very helpful. At the end of the meal my significant other and I were also provided ice cream which was a nice addition. At $38/person we thought ZIP’s AYCE and good quality meats was well worth the trip. We’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you too for the great service! (Review 4/24/2024) Used to be my favorite “All you can eat” restaurant near Irvine but starting this week they switched to à la cart. A meal for two cost an extra $20-30 but no substantial increase in meat quality. Side dishes are a bit better, and the poached egg is a nice addition but not worth the price increase moving away from all you can eat. I’d much rather ownership increase the per-person price of all you can eat rather than switching to à la cart. The total cost is just too much now, and I’d rather find a different restaurant that offers all you can eat. If Zip switches back to “All you can eat” style, I’ll definitely go back to eating there often again. It was one of my favorite kbbq places in the area.

It was cool we got there before it got really packed so we had really good service before they got to busy, kinda felt like we had the whole staff between just two tables. When it got a little crowded the meat still came out fast. Will be there again soon 🤣🤣🤣

Went here with my buddies who live near this Korean BBQ restaurant and said it was great. They were right. We had fun cooking all the meats, drinking Korean beer, and taking a couple shots! It was a blast. Our server was fantastic. Fun place to hang out with friends!

Not bad at all — I really liked the quality of the meats! There were so many side dish options too, which was great. I just wasn’t happy with the glass noodles — they tasted a bit stiff, undercooked, and not as flavorful as others I’ve tried. Service was definitely good though; they kept changing the grill, which I appreciated. The potatoes were kinda meh though. :)

All you can eat Korean BBQ. Our server was great as was all the staff. For two its a bit tough to try the different meat/proteins. The garlic shrimp is head on in the shell, but can't tell from the menu description. The ribeye steak actually is a full 8 oz steak! You get to cut it yourself. The spicy chicken was good and not very spicy. I loved their Kim Chi . Be very careful when you get your sides from the kitchen. The steaming egg bowl was dangerously hot with small handles so just slide it around the table. As with most all you can eat places there is no take home allowed. We only ordered two rounds of "meat" ,3 items each round and unfortunately still had lots left over. Sadly had to leave it.

Meat Quality 5/5 Service 3.5/5 Environment 4.5/5 Excellent selection and quality of mean however the lack of service was what brought down my rating. I wouldn’t say the service was horrible, but there were times where we obviously had finished cooking out meats and the servers didn’t attend to us. We even had to flag them down for more soju. This leads to a less pleasant experience because you are waiting and trying to flag down a server the whole time. I’ve been to this spot a couple other times tho and the servers weren’t this absent - so I will chalk it up to them just having an off day. Thus, I would still recommend others try this place out as their meat quality and banchan quality seem to be much more superior to Gen and other KBBQ. But just be ready as their “premium” selection menu is now $53!! 👀

I love KBBQ. The meat was tasty, a lot of flavor! The spicy beef bulgogi was too sweet other than that the food good..service wise, it was ok and needed to be better. My main concern is the floor is very slippery due to all the oils from the cooked meat! Honestl, I don't think I'll go back any time soon!

Ideally situated next to the AMC movie theater (great for date night) this Korean style BBQ (you cook your food on a tabletop grill) has tasty food. I don't eat seafood or pork so I tried most of the beef dishes like the brisket, sirloin, garlic steak, and the spicy chicken. The side dish of corn is like a cream of corn and was good. The potato salad was dry and tasteless. Overall the food and service were good. Anna the hostess is a sweetie pie. Beware if you leave any uneaten (uncooked) food you will be charged $5.00 per meat plate. So don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach and go stir crazy ordering everything any once. Pace yourself, order no more than 2 meats at a time and wait until you've eaten them all before ordering additional meat plates. Dinner is about $32, lunch about $23.

Zip KBBQ review This establishment has been through and through. I have been to this location since it has opened and I have seen the changes to quality up and down. With the recent changes to ownership and Damien is the da man. His hospitality and customer service is phenomenal. Even when I did not request garlic and jalapeños, he understood the mission and intentions of the customer from observation. Definitely Zip BBQ is a place to go for a quick lunch. I would honestly just go for the service from Damien.

Sorry but this was a very mediocre KBBQ experience. We only ended up ordering two meat choices (Pork bulgogi and Beef tongue) because they were both way too oily and the bulgogi seasoning was way too strong. I genuinely felt like throwing up after eating. At least the sides are decent. There are better KBBQ spots in Irvine; avoid this one.

Not clean, the floors were sticky and the water carafe had crud in it. The service was slow and we had to ask for the same side 3x before it came, and even then the sides were pretty bad. We love kbbq and there are so many other options beyond Zip that are better to go to, don't waste your $ here

I went there a lot before they start having constant price changes every few months. This time I see online that “rewards member $29.95” “Happy Hour 20% off everything” so I assume if i go to Mon-Friday lunch I would get a $24 ish AYCE Tried to call to confirm but phone number is invalid. Had to actually go there. You know what, when we arrived and want to confirm the information, a waiter that speaks poor English (which is understandable) told us the $29.95 only applies to the leftest column and yes 20% off can be applied now (1:30pm when we arrived). I pointed out that beef bulgogi is not even within the column… Then I grabbed another waiter. He told us that $29.95 applies to the full menu but 20% off is only for drinks… ??? how can the waiters not even know the deal and how can the menu posted online to be so misleading??? Left dumbfounded:) and head to another kbbq

Great service but Kalbi is mediocre. Small cuts and considered a premium add on. The side dishes did not taste fresh especially the glass noodles. Not high quality meats. Won’t return.

    • Nori: Algas marinas secas.
    • Negi: Cebolleta picada.
