Rodrigo's Tustin Reviews
I always find the staff is friendly and attentive when I dine at Rodrigo's (once Ricardo's and even Don Jose for some locations...) this place and it's sister locations are Orange County staples. Great food, Great service. The location in Orange is always decorated for the current holiday, this is the restaurant to visit if you want to celebrate! The location in H.B. is toned down throughout the year and has a more contemporary decor. The location in Anaheim Hills feels like you're dining in and old Spanish revival Hacienda and the Tustin location also has Mexican decor, but all share a great staff dedicated to serving great food each time I have visited. Thank you.
Recent move to Irvine, not a variety of Mexican Foid Restaurants in the area. We discovered this hidden gem after buying some E Bikes down the street. Gotta say, food was delicious, great flavors, speedy service. Large portions and clean inviting environment. Their Margaritas are served in actual pint glasses not the tiny lil glasses some places serve you for full price. We've found our new go to place for great food.
Prepare your taste buds for a fiesta of flavors at this Mexican gem in OC! Every dish is a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff add to the overall experience, making it one of the best spots to indulge in delicious Mexican fare in OC. Whether you're craving traditional favorites or exploring new dishes, this restaurant consistently delivers top-notch food and service. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience some of the best Mexican food OC has to offer—highly recommended for a flavor-packed fiesta!
The chile verde burrito was delicious!
Food was good, Great atmosphere and the Older Gentleman knows how to make a Margarita and not use vodka because Im white. lol..... (another place assumed because I'm white I don't drink Tequila) Bahahahaha also just because I'm white doesn't mean I can't handle Spicy.... 😀
We live closer to the location off El Toro Rd, but the Newport Blvd location has Taco Tuesday. Both have excellent food (all days of the week), excellent service, excellent atmosphere. We never have a complaint. The physical quality of the chips is random, sometimes not warm-hot and sometimes not crisp, but always good tasting, never old. If the only thing I can mention is the chips, then the place is worth our visits a couple times per month.
Visited in late afternoon. Ate at the very tiny bar...about 6 seats. Approximately 3pm...all food and drinks in the multiple table bar area were served by that bartender. Subsequently, getting my order in took some time. Two fish tacos, Ala carte and house margarita on the rocks...very weak...purchased another shot and poured it in...that fixed it!!! Fish tacos were delicious! Chips and salsa were good as well. Service, once received, was good.
First time here, and it was the end of brunch, if they still offer it. My husband and I arrived before the 2pm cut off for brunch but weren't offered a brunch menu.We ate off the normal menu I did the combo plate with the cheese enchilada added chicken one pork tamale served with rice and beans. Enchilada with chicken that's very good and flavorful but the pork tamale was lacking a bit in flavor on the pork. My husband had the carne asada with shrimp fajita combo plate and he enjoyed it said it was flavorful and not overcooked but the steak was lacking a bit with seasoning. They give you chips and salsa when you sit at the table and the salsa is very good does have bits of Jalapeno in it if you don't like that. Are server was attentive. I would recommend for a quick bite to eat and for quick service!
First of all I'll never order from here again. I was charged for albondigas soup that was not received, the food was cold, there was five small strips of steak in my fajitas, overloaded with huge onions and bell peppers, and the chicken fajitas also, very stingy with the meat. What a disappointing lunch for me and my co-workers. I called about the missing soup and was treated like I was lying. What good would that do and why lie about soup? And the items online are priced differently from what's on this receipt. Nope Never again.
We tried this placed based on orange county registration naming it best Mexican restaurant. We were highly disappointed. Atmosphere was was old and depressing. Food was ok but nothing very authentic about it. Some reviews say the Dennys of Mexican restaurants, I would say that is being generous. Come on registration, do better. Won't be going back.
