I can't say enough about this place. Last night somehow our order didn't go through online and they worked so fast to get our order ready it was amazing! The food was delicious and they were so kind to us. My company orders from here for office functions and we get it for home also but it had been a long time. We will be ordering a lot more from now on.

Best chinese food i ever had, very generous amount of food for the money too. I am a pretty big person and their "half" portion filled me up. Very flavorful and came delivered fresh.

Food made to order was fresh, hot and great portion. The already made fast food could be fairly fresh or sitting for hours and not edible. I highly recommend ordering from the menu; everything was excellent

This place is so good. Today was my first time trying it and it was superb . loved the bok choy and green bean. It was fresh and hot. Oh my god !!! This is the number 1 spot in upland. Even though it may be slightly over priced you get what you pay for a delicious meal for a large family. Awesome !!

We were looking for some Chinese food for Mother's Day. We first called Bamboo Garden. Someone answered the phone and said they were closed. Okay... time to formulate a plan B. The next call was to China Pepper. They said they were out of a few things and it would be about an hour to get a to-go order ready. Szechuan Garden in Montclair is always a good choice but no one felt like driving that far. I noticed Lotus Garden on Google Maps over in nearby Upland. I had passed by a few times and the name caught my eye because there used to be a Lotus Garden in San Bernardino. There's probably no connection however. Anyway... we placed a call to Lotus Garden and ordered Almond Chicken, Chicken in Black Bean Sauce, Beef with Snow Peas, and Chicken Fried Rice. We were told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I headed out the door and arrived about 15-20 minutes later. Our order was waiting for me when I got there. I paid and was quickly on my way. I forgot to take a photo of the food in the containers but you can see a little of each on my plate here. It was really good. They did give us Shrimp Fried Rice instead of Chicken Friend Rice but no one seemed to mind. I think my favorite dish was the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce. I would definitely order that again.

Casual dining and friendly service followed by a very tasty meal at a great price. That about sums it up for my second trip to Lotus Garden in Upland at Mountain Avenue and Baseline. We enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Moo Goo Gai Pan and Chicken Chow Mein along with steamed rice, soup, egg rolls and fried wontons. The young lady who served us was so patient and helpful as we ordered our food and she even brought a small bowl of rice and an egg roll for our granddaughter who said she was not hungry (but changed her mind 🙂when her food arrived). The plain atmosphere doesn't do justice to the food and take out is always an option!

The food is all made fresh and is delicious. The restaurant is small, but the employees were very attentive and friendly. We ordered the combo chow fun, the combo egg foo young, orange chicken, steamed dumplings, and the pu pu platter. The menu has a large variety of items to choose from. I would absolutely order from here again. The only criticism I have is that the silverware was a little dirty, but other than that, everything was very satisfying.

We ordered Chow fun, and orange chicken. We had it delivered. Food was delivered very hot, and got here faster than the estimated time even with the driver calling to tell us he was lost. Generous portion sizes. The Chow fun was outstanding, and they seasoned it perfectly. The meat was tender. The orange chicken was fried perfectly, it was not to greasy, or sweet. It came with a small side of white rice. One full order of orange chicken will feed two people easily, and one order of Chow fun can feed 2 as well. We definitely found our new go to place for Chinese.

I first tried their chicken with veggies and liked the ratio of the meat to vegetables (50/50). I meant to try their brown rice but end up just telling cashier that it was nice they had it as an option. I like that they have fair pricing. The teas are a bit sweet for me, would like to order with less sweetness but the flavors are exquisite.

Lotus Garden worked hard to make things right with us. This time the food was very good and I had no complaints about the food. I had cashew chicken made exactly how I liked it, I really enjoyed the beef with black mushroom and the chicken corn soup (lots of egg, which I appreciate!), and my family enjoyed their food as well. I really really like the fruit tea and will probably order it every time I come back. Though the restaurant is kind of far away our food still arrived hot and right on time. Thank you so much Lotus Garden!

My parents fell in love with the food here. They drive out to Upland (20 miles from their home) whenever they are in the mood for tasty, fresh Chinese food. We often, at least, order wor wonton soup, kung pau chicken, shrimp or pork choy suey. The service is wonderful.

I called for pickup. Food was ready a little early. They called and let me know to avoid the food getting cold. Who does that? Awesome service. The food is outstanding. Veg fried rice is full of vegetables. Crispy walnut rice a 15 out of 10 rating. The Lotus House special had my husband raving as did the broccoli beef for my daughter. Prices are reasonable for what you get. I will be back for sure.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Little gem up by the foothills (just south of the 210 Frwy), cozy but not fancy at all. They have take out and food can be ordered on delivery service apps.

I wish I could give this place more stars because it's run by a family and my heart goes out to all small business owners all the time. I am one myself so I understand how much businesses rely on reviews. I wouldn't say it's bad at all but the food lacks flavor, I got some hard dried up rice grains in my food and the fried rice didn't seem fried at all. I would also say that a smile goes a long way. Originally I was going to give 3 stars but I know it can be improved easily. Overall it's pretty alright.

I'm a first time customer here through delivery and the food was great, minus like two side items. The steamed dumplings, mixed veggies chop suey, shrimp fried rice, and especially the wonton soup were delicious! There were two side items that was the brown rice which weren't that great, but they weren't main dishes so it's fine. Aside from that, service and the food were impeccable.

The first time that I ate from here was before the pandemic. We had orange chicken and kung pao chicken last week and the flavor and quality left a lot of room to be desired.

The sweet and sour shrimp and sweet and sour pork entrees were delicious. Also the combination fried rice and chicken and veggies were tasty. Did a take out order so cant really comment on the atmosphere. Prices were comparable to other chinese restaurants.

Ordered thru door dash honey walnut shrimp, crab wontons, crispy noodles, and egg rolls. Food that i received was tasty and cold. Special instructions were not followed, crispy noodles were not provided nor was I provided any dipping sauces or hot mustard. Though the food was good it was not worth the price especially since I didn't get my full order, special instructions were not followed and sauces were not provided.

The Food here is top notch. It is perhaps a little expensive though. However, you will not find food this good at a lower-cost Chinese food place. They seem to use nothing but fresh ingredients, and their chef is obviously a master at his craft. He neither overcooks, nor undercooks. Nor does he over-fry things in the wok. Nothing was soaked in oil (which means he doesn't just throw everything in a wok and let if fry... the way cheap places do). The menu had many items, and if the main courses are too expensive, they do have some delicious appetizers if one has less money to spend. The food here is perfect. It is nice they have some good vegetarian options, too. The decor is fair. Just a fast food-looking kind of a place, but with better food. Although the workers there are all very nice and all do their jobs.... the service is set up in a fashion that is not very intelligent. If you "eat in" they want you to have a seat like a regular restaurant where a waitress or waiter takes your order. This is all silly pretentious overkill. And it's a waste of tip money, and a waste of everyone's time. They should treat "eat in" orders as the same as fast food. Just call it when it's ready and have the customer pick it up at the counter. That would be way faster. Instead... we had to wait for the server to come to us.... which oftentimes could take 5 or 10 minutes. So silly, when I can just get up, go to the counter, and get what I want or pay my bill instantly without waiting for the silly notion of a waiter or waitress to approach the table. They should get rid of all table service, and make EVERYTHING "to go" fashion. Even for those who eat-in. Furthermore, if you "eat in", they don't give you a fountain drink the way they do "take out" people. Instead they give you a can of drink and a glass of ice. This is a nice attempt at class, but it comes out as pretentious and unnecessary, when a fountain drink is such a better deal in the amount of drink one gets. So go for the food, but I suggest you order it "to go" even if you eat-in. Customers want self service. Not slow, expensive hosted service. This place is small. No waiters or waitresses are necessary.

The food is pretty good here, and the delivery is quick, but they are TERRIBLE at getting orders right. Me and my dad order from this place and the last 3 times they've gotten the order wrong. They completely forgot the thai tea and still charged for it, last time they dropped it at the door and it exploded.

Most dishes were good. But one was horrible. We ordered General Tso's chicken, extra spicy. It tasted so much of Orange chicken that it could only be that they took orange chicken and put BBQ sauce on it or whoever bagged the order must have picked up the wrong dish. I would order from them again because mistakes happen but if this is their recipe for General Tso's chicken then my family can't eat it. We all find orange chicken disgusting and it ruined this particular meal for us.

I ordered 3 orders of Plate B (2 entrees, and 2 half sides). Order arrived and all 3 plates were packed with fried rice, a near to nothing serving of noodles, and one serving/scoop of the main entree (i chose the same entree for the 2 options).

Food is delicious but Boba milk tea doesn't taste normal it taste old or as if its been sitting long in a machine and the boba balls r smashed an not boba balls its more grinded ive never had milk tea boba that tast like dirt!! I would perfer only the food.

Something is wrong with the food here. I had a premonition but it was too late. Had already paid $13 for very strange tasting food. There was something weird about the Broccoli Beef and the Orange Chicken. A flavor and taste I could not put my finger on. The texture of the Orange Chicken was very strange too. It tasted old. I did not finish the meal. Very disappointing. Expensive for what the quality was. I won't be returning.

I don't order take out food very often so with me taking the time out to give a review is major big deal. A waste of money on poorly served food. Decided to try a few of Lotus Garden menu selections. First thing went wrong was the missing of an whole entree of the orange chicken lunch. The crunchy walnut shrimp was not crunchy at all. It was under cooked and soggy. When placing the order via.phone I had to ask is this the Lotus Garden Restaurant. The bag of food was stapled which made it hard to determine if my order was incorrect once the delivery guy was long gone.

Very bland EXPENSIVE food. I work next door to this place so I've given them plenty of chances. Garlic chicken is @ $9 & basically taste like boiled chicken in water. Snapple is $2.90 (a small bottle not a big 1). Most of the customers are 70 plus so I guess that's why all their dishes are so bland. Go elsewhere for Chinese.

Last 3 orders were wrong. I used Beyond Menu which appeared correct, however, Lotus Garden blamed Beyond Menu each time. Lotus Garden says sorry each time but I’m sorry too, no more orders from me.

Very rude!!!! I will never be back here again. I don’t even care how good the food is. She threw the menu down on the table. Took our order and ran away before I was finished. I ordered more when she came back and she was mad and said “next time you tell me all at once”. Really??? Really rude little girl.

This please is terrible I ordered chow mein and Broccoli and beef and orange chicken and it was very nasty tasting. It tasted very dry and have a weird taste to all the food the women in the front was very rude and we noticed everyone in the back were not wearing there mask while cooking the food. Overall I do not recommend this place at all. It was so gross I had to take time to leave a review. If I can go a negative 5 star I would I didn’t even finish my food and it was over priced for the quality of food!

C

Ordered delivery of Chicken Chow Mein, it arrived 45 minutes late. That's not the worst of it. My egg rolls were filled with soggy cabbage. I couldn't eat them The chow main was stale tasting noodles with fatty chicken. The only veggie was onion. Disgusting! Don't eat here, it's just aweful!!!

M
Martha Gomez

I had ordered for delivery a wonton soup, sweet and sour soup, an order of veggie egg rolls, and an order of chicken and shrimp eggrolls. When I was ready to eat, I began to notice that my wonton soup was instead an egg drop soup and instead of my chicken and shrimp egg rolls, they had sent me a side of rice and green beans with chicken plate. This had been my third time they had mess up my order but tried to give them another chance. When I called to informed them about the mistakes, the owner who I ordered with began telling me that it was my fault even though I doubled checked my order with him. He didn't want to send me my correct order even though I told him we had not touch the green bean chicken. He was very rude and made me feel terrible for wanting my order corrected. The sad thing is that I use to really enjoy this place but now will not be returning ever. The poor delivery boy felt more bad and apologized for the error more than the owner did. Goes to show how that place must be managed. Never had a place scream at me for an error they had committed with my food. And ontop of that they wanted to charge me 10 dollars more to receive my chicken and shrimp rolls that was part of my correct order.

M
Marilyn Corrales

They have new management. It really is unfortunate that they no longer put the customer first. I ordered from this place last night and they ruined my ordered. I ordered Kung Pao Tofu but they gave me something else. When I called them to request a refund bc they screwed up, the manager and the storefront person (Ivon) told me there was nothing they could do bc according to them they repeated my order and confirm it. They did confirm Kung Pao which was what I order but I got a different order. They didn't take responsibility for screwing up my order. I had to throw away the food they gave me bc it was disgusting. I ordered from here for years and never had an issue like this. Just know when you order they are probably going to screw up your order and not care when they do and tell you it's your fault.
