Been coming to this location for years. Staff is always polite and food is always hot and super filling. Pastrami is well worth the price. Grilled cheese was stuffed with cheese. Usually always crowd when I come in but today it was slow. Which was nice change lol

Heard about The Hat from multiple family members and, loving pastrami, had to stop by on our trip to the area. First of all, the pastrami was delicious. Moist, tender, and we'll portioned. Upon requesting extra pickles, I was delighted to be served a full handful, which was as satisfying as it is uncommon. The only area for disappointment for was that the french fries were sadly under seasoned. Overall I would highly recommend and am actually sad I never heard of it before we moved out of state of over a decade ago.

Dude... Why is it so good? Everything about this place, is great. The service, fast, drive thru, busy but still very fast, a nearby airport so you can watch small planes fly by while eating a pastrami sandwich, and the food? On top. Chili cheese fries, is literally a meal from heaven. Pastrami? Perfect. Perhaps you should pay a visit!

In from out of town and The Hat was recommended by several people. I can say this with 100% certainty, their pastrami sandwich is the best. Their motto is that it's world famous and they ain't lyin'! The fries were also fresh and crispy, but not overdone. If you find yourself in the vicinity of one, I suggest you go there at your first opportunity.

The Hat is my go-to spot for a big and juicy pastrami sandwich. Their Bang drinks are delicious but very sweet. The service is always fast and professional. Whether it's a burger, pastrami or Roast Beef they are all top quality especially for a spot with a drive through. The last time I went we tried the highly recommended pastrami chili cheese fries. These were massive and absolutely delicious. The fries were crispy and remained hot underneath the savory sheet of perfectly spiced chili (not too hot). That was then smothered in a yellowy storm of cheddar cheese and topped with mountain of pastrami. Delicious. My kids and I love The Hat and will continue to enjoy this delicious establishment.

They have amazing pastrami sandwiches and you can even get a burger with the pastrami! Amazing fries loaded with chili and cheese or plain if that’s too much for you. They even have a giant container of spicy banana peppers. Customer service is great and food comes out very fast even when there is a giant line.

This place is an absolute classic. The food is delicious. The portions are HUGE, and the prices are reasonable; you definitely receive the value for your money. You can’t go wrong with the Hat, from the chili to the pastrami it’s all delicious!

Nobody! Makes a better Pastrami sandwich. 1 order of Fries is enough for 4 senior adults or 1 teenager, ROFL. The Hardwood seats are attractive. OK for a ‘short’ visit.

Everything was very tasty! Onion rings our my wife’s and I favorite spot to get them from. The pastrami fries are heavy yes, but we’ll worth it when you’re hungry. The burger is surprisingly great for a pastrami restaurant! And the pastrami sandwich always is on point! 😝 if you haven’t tried it, we’ll try it you won’t be disappointed!

Finally made it out to this eatery. Pastrami was more than enough! It was a little dry. Sandwich had good flavor overall. The fries were piping hot! Did need done salt and onions. Service was super quick. The place filled up quick after we arrived!

Pastrami was good, but I've had much better. It was their big baskets of fries and onion rings were the real winners though, especially their onion rings. I don't like even like onions, unless sautéd or in onion ring form, and these were probably the best I've ever had

I’ve been to this establishment a few times and if you like pastrami and chili, you probably enjoy your meal here. My opinion just a little bit too expensive, but with the amount of the food they give you. It’s probably worth it. The workers are friendly and courteous and you get your meal in no time the pastrami is good and so is the chili. I’ve ordered a few different food items and they’re all good. The structure is fairly sized plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy your meal inside or outside dining . There’s plenty of parking with a handicap stalls near the entrance.

I went here last nite and ordered two cheese burgers one chili cheese burger two frys and one pastrami dip. No real complaints about the burgers other than the quality is slipping. The portions of the frys were cut in half but the price is still 3.99 before there were too many frys for on person now you can't have it for two people because thr portions are now smaller. So this is not really the complaint. The complaint is the pastrami dip. It was horrible. You couldn't eat it. I tried to call and talk to the manager and they were rude and kept me on hold and blew me off so I went down there and showed the what they gave me. The buns were soaked in Augurs and then rolled up in a knot with the meat all over the place. So they made me a new one when I got it home it wasn't as bad but it was the same thing but the end of the bun was hard like it was micro waved. I know it was not but it had that texture like it was a soaked old bun. I don't think they would normally soak the buns just the meat. Attached are pictures of the first sandwich and the second.

I was visiting my brother in upland coming from Lancaster ca .so if u know u know.we don't have anything good really .so I wanted a pastrami and a beef dip.and fries but unfortunately this particular location is bad .the beef dip was sooo salty and dry .old .the aju oh my God I couldn't even eat it my wife got sick.i told the staff about it and he said oh that's how it is and left it at that no hey do u want something else or a refund nothing.and the pastrami quality was not there .avoid this location.go to Alhambra or somewhere else.veey disappointed to say this about the hat .

Portions are a 1/3rd of what they used to be ownership of this location has literally gotten cheap. The prices are up 30% like everyone else but the portions are 1/3rd of what they used to be. It's no longer worth spending $18 for a hot dog and onion rings. Rip off greedy ownership, I don't care who says otherwise. I've been going to this location since I was 20ish and I'm now 47. It's never been like this. Reminds me of the ownership that used to own the legends on Monte Vista that went out of business. He cut his cost by limiting to an extreme how much food they served. I watched them make like 20 pastrami sandwiches while I was waiting for my food and even the severs/chefs were being super frugal on the amount of meat they out in each sandwich and barely out any mustard on sandwich. I'm going to write to the Hat Corporate Headquarters. I'd be embarrassed of this level of representation!!!
