The Hub Eatery Utica Reviews
Went there on a whim for tomato pie, since my usual was closed on Monday's. While the tomato pie isn't done ahead it did take a little while but that was fine. The bar tender Darcy was SUPER NICE AND FUNNY and we just chatted the time away. I put the pies in the back of my truck and they cooled before I got home. The smell of the pies are completely different from my usual, but the taste is great and I love the crust. My only critique is that there is some ingredient that leaves bad and lasting after taste, all of us agreed on that. I'd go there and get the tomato pie again though.
Just wanted to share my thoughts about The Hub with you. They are AWESOME! I had a Pesto Chicken sandwich the last time I was there and it was amazing . . . so were the homemade chips that came with the sandwich order. Frank doesn't just put the sandwiches together with the same old ingredients every other place does. He creates Masterpieces! Seriously . . . his Sandwiches are works of Flavor Art, with using different flavors of Mayo and ingredients that go together wonderfully. One can only get that taste at THE HUB!!! Try them & you'll be hooked!
Anytime I have purchessed something eaither eat in or take out delivery the food and prices are excellent. Frank and his staff really go above and beyond to make you feel at home and like family. As far as I am concerned The Hub is the best place in the city for great food at a great price.
Frank is an awesome chef and an amazingly nice guy! I’ve ordered almost everything on the menu and it’s always been nothing but excellent. Tonight i called close to closing without realizing it and he went out of his way to make me 2 perfect pizzas and a awesome batch of wings, he really cares about his customers (family) and it feels even better supporting a local business. I highly recommend any of the pizzas/ wings and especially the greens and my favorite the “downtowner” steak sub. Seriously the food is ridiculously good and very reasonably priced!
Revising my review. The owner took time and responded to my previous review. He showed actual concern which means a lot. The food at the Hub is delicious and always has been. Kudos to the cook. Excellent! The coffee is the best. I've ordered coffee from everywhere around Utica and I just like The Hub's coffee. Its just THAT good. I don't want to go anywhere else for coffee and if you order coffee from The Hub you would understand why. Now when I and my guests go to eat some of the tastiest food in Utica, I will be enjoying a cup of the best coffee to go with it. Thank you Frank.
This was me and my friends first time being here and everything was amazing we had a great time and will definitely be coming back again 💓keep up the good work everyone all of u were absolutely awesome 😁 Dara was amazing waitress plzz have her there Wednesday we will be back.
We attended a private wedding at The Hub yesterday & were blown away by the quality of the food as well as the friendly staff who seemed to go above & beyond to take care of all the guests attending!
Amazing place...Great drinks...This place had an amazing latin night...fantastic, great atmosphere, great drinks.....from someone like me who is from Manhattan NY...This place reminded me of Manhattan NY...Excellent vibes
Tomato pie is ON POINT !! So good that for father's day I bought 5 and passed em out to friends and family... everyone absolutely loved em !! Also, from what I hear they have one heck of a musical scene. Come for the food & stay for the Entertainment
Soppressata, Capicola, Long Hots, Mozzarella and Balsamic reduction on a Ciabatta bread. Wait, with pickle and chips for ONLY $7 dollars! If that wasn't a great deal today, then I don't know what was. The Hub didn't skimp on this sandwich. And the tomato pie was excellent. I'm not hiding anything. I've known Frank for some time now, and he's definitely come a long way. YOU OUT DID YOURSELF ON THIS ORDER. Thanks Again!!
I have been ordering from The Hub for years! Frank goes out of his way to accommodate you NO MATTER WHAT! I support this business as much as I can because he’s genuine and the food is GREAT, no matter what you get it’s on point EVERY TIME! He caters a lot for me and I have NEVER received negative feedback, I always hear, omg lunch was delicious where is it from!! Thank you for all you do Frank, it does not go unnoticed
Their food is always good! The riggies and greens are my fave! Frank always goes above and beyond for his customers. Definitely a great place to eat! I even recommended my job to get our Christmas party catered from them and they ended up loving it! Thanks Frank for all you do!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the owner Frank, and the Hub. The HUB has catered multiple of our business meetings and Frank ALWAYS goes above and beyond. He is flexible, understanding and one of the nicest people to work with when it comes to making sure everything goes well with your food order. I have never met someone so dedicated to making sure the food is delicious, and the service top notch. You will not regret giving the Hub a chance. Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL!!! 5 Stars all around!
The meatballs are delicious, we went for a friend's birthday party and by the the time we got there alot of the food was gone. The party was karaoke and we had a great time hope to come for karaoke again.
About a month ago my husband and I ordered pizza and chicken wings, pizza was not put together how a normal pizza is supposed to be cheese all over. The chicken wings were not cooked well at all some were still raw inside, owner and staff have contacted us just to take the bad review down and after that we called to give them another try we got ignored. Please save your time and money for something delicious this place is a joke!!!!! Mind you I was getting harassed daily phone calls and messages to take the honest review down, owner contacted us as well saying he wants to make it right and when the honest review went down we were blocked. As you can see from all other honest reviews how the customers get replied with disrespect.
Wings were over cooked and drowned in sauce..Mind as well had been an Everything soup
Visited the Hub for the first time on Easter with my family for brunch. While the staff were very pleasant, the rest of the experience was mediocre…at best. The food seemed very subpar and the brunch options were limited for the price being charged. We had to ask staff several times to refill the plates so we could get food. Also, the atmosphere is very strange. It’s so dark and unwelcoming and the space is way too tight and set up weird. Again, the staff were very pleasant but I can’t say that anyone in my party was impressed or would return again.
Not what we expected at all. Bacon was delicious, buffet was not well prepared, food was good-ish, plastic silverware, no coffee, no service... 25 bucks for scrambled eggs n bacon. Dunkin’ Donuts is faster and better value… Maybe regular menu is better, pictures looked awesome…
