Have eaten here for years. Excellent food and service.
Lucked upon this place by accident, and I'm glad I did well worth the money.
Vegetables were crispy & flavor was great‼️
Love the China House, great food and service!
Great food, great service and reasonably priced.
Best place ever been going here for 20 years a must eat
Super delicious, and plenty of food to go around!
Great food, very quick, and friendly!
Great food. Short wait time.
Quintessential Chinese Restaurant ... delightful!
Lemon chicken was very tasty
Friendly service, great food! My recommendations: The potstickers and Kung Pao Bean Curd. Both are delicious!
Been going here for years, definitely some of the best in town! My favorite place for Hot and Sour Soup 🍲
I'm in love with their soups! Best I've had and I come from a Chinese family
Food and service out standing, we had a group of 30, moved tables, and they were watching with smiles
Really good lunch specials. Dinner portions (to go) are very small, though.
Carefully prepared, delicious fare. We had the house beef and chicken with peapods.
China house has Authentic Chinese food I recommend you trying this place out
Excellent Kung Pao Tofu and vegetarian pot stickers!
Great food and reasonable prices.
4 generations of our family has enjoyed China House. We love the atmosphere, the food , the service and the nostalgia. So many wonderful memories shared there. Start your own family tradition today!
Fast service, not roo expensivehuge servings - enough to share or make two or three meals, and so delicious! I had Lemon Chicken. My favorite Chinese dish and this has to be the best I've had yet! Try them, you won't be disappointed.
Great Chinese food, and honestly, the staff bend over backwards to give EXCELLENT customer service! They fully accommodate our vegan dietary requirements. Great Chinese food, clean & tidy, and the food is served hot and fresh. We feel WELCOME as soon as we walk in the door.
My wife and I had lunch here today and it was a nostalgic Chinese restaurant experience in Old Town Vacaville. Great food and a good value be sure and try the delicious hot and sour soup!
The best Chinese food I have had in years, maybe best ever. The left overs were even better the next day, which is unheard of. I live in Roseville and I will be going back to this place for sure.
A traditional Chinese Restaurant in downtown Vacaville really provides a historical reminder to how important Chinese influences on California cuisine have been. With a large menu including vegetarian entrees to traditional Chinese served plates the fast and friendly service with the Traditional China House decor provides a great atmosphere for family and friend gatherings.
Best Chinese food in Vacaville. Food was excellent and not greasy or over spiced. Best I have had in long time and we will be going back soon
I've been going to China since that 1980's. It has changed hands under new ownership since but the new owners have kept the reputation and the food is delicious. highly recommended!
The best Chinese food in Solano county! been eating here since before the Loma prieta earthquake. Delicious pot stickers and the best sesame beef!
The soups are always fantastic you cannot go wrong with any of them. Their food always tastes fresh, and their service is great.
Amazing food! Definitely recommend. Best Chinese restaurant we’ve stopped at in years.
Amazing, delicious, polite staff, they even teach us Chinese every time we come! It's so awesome. We come here all the time and will continue.
I've favored many Asian restaurants all over Northern California, but this place quickly shot to the top of my all time favorites! Best Kung Pau, best Walnut sauce, and the absolute BEST hot n sour soup ever! The walnut chicken and similar dishes elsewhere are often very overwhelming, but it is a perfect balance of sweet and salty from the nuts with savory, perfectly fried chicken. We made a 45 mile drive to try this and we will definitely be coming back often!
I ordered some entrées for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed with any of them: the teriyaki chicken was not too sweet, the celery in the savory cashew chicken was still crunchy but not raw, the combo fried rice was fluffy, the chicken and snow peas was yummy...no complaints here. I look forward to a sit-down meal at the restaurant, but the take-out was very nice.
I had a delicious combo with egg roll on the side and loved both. Price was very good too.

This restaurant is amazing and so are all who work there.. they are very friendly, easy to talk to, always gets my order right, the food is WONDERFUL. The owner Jen is so sweet and Lee and James go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need.
Very traditional, American Chinese food. Flavors were excellent, and the prices are very good.
Amazing flavor. No salty like most Asian restaurants just made with so much love you can tell abd full of flavor. The potstickers are hand made and so much seasonings spices but not overly. The chow fun and walnut shrimp so good. I mean I've never tasted it so good. You have to come here and awesome service. Wonderful staff. Can't wait to bring friends and family back.
Food is tasty. Service is superb. I wish the lights inside are brighter.
Had really good food and even better toilet paper
Wow wow wow! Delicious food for our huge group was amazing! The staff is so kind and attentive! They were so busy but we were still taken care of! Highly recommend taking your family!
Best Chinese food in the county if not the state! Friendly and efficient staff with good memory for faces. I have been out of area or 5 years and owner/waitress said Welcome, haven't seen you for a long time, good to see you. $$
I used to here in the 90's haven't been there since 1995, it hasn't changed, still outstanding

Awesome sizzling rice soup!
Good food, reasonable pricing, and friendly waiting. I'll be back.
The prices are reasonable, and as I said the food and service were excellent
Great food, wonderful staff, will revisit.
Amazing place, top 5 Chinese restaurant in my book
Pretty good. Not the best I ever had but a good go to
Great service, great food. The only thing keeping the fifth star off is the cheesy, old Chinese restaurant decor and bright lighting.
Good 👍 lunch special, we have to check out the dinner menu, very nice place.
Always fresh, and always tasty! The hot and sour soup is one of our favorites.
Quick service, and some of the best food I've had in a long time. Top notch restaurant.
Very good food, quick service. A little on the pricy side.
The chow main was great and the sweet and sour shrimp was amazing.
Friendly staff and large portions. The sesame beef was perhaps a bit too crisp but the sweet and sour chicken was nice without being too sweet or goopy. Their hot and sour soup was yummy and served as a meal unto itself.
I've been coming here with my family for years. The food is a treat. There is always something interesting in the decor that you didn't see last time. The waitresses are always friendly and accommodating. It's usually not too busy.
Food was tasty moo shu pork, potstickers, house fried rice, chow mein all excellent! Orange chicken however was dry and tasted too much like orange peel didn't even eat it.. but overall I'll come back.
Great service, good portions for family. Served hot and traditional Chinese available for takeout as well. Restaurant needs to update its decor and bathrooms.
Fried rice was bland and the Mongolian Beef was underwhelming. My wife's Orange Chicken was quite amazing. Very crispy chicken balls with real bits of orange in the sauce!!
Good lunch food. Nice cozy restaurant.

Food was great, service was amazing! The woman serving us was so sweet especially to my two little girls. The only thing I would say is the tablecloth could definitely be changed (the clear plastic on) and the bathroom was very dirty. Seriously some of the best Chinese food we’ve ever had though. We will be back again!

Orange Chicken was dry.
Nice and quite for family lunch and dinner..
Decent food, but I've eaten at better Chinese restaurants in town.
Didn't care for the Kung Pao chicken at all. It wasn't spicy - it actually had a hint of sweetness and the sauce was horrible. The peanuts weren't cooked completely, the chicken was dried out, and green onions were overcooked. Other than that, the Chow Mein was good; as were the egg rolls, albeit a little greasy. The steamed white rice was perfection. Chop sticks would have been nice... I will probably give this place another chance. I'll just steer clear of any Kung Pao dish.
The people working at the restaurant were very nice. But I personally didn't much like the food. I'm not sure I would go out of the way to go back to the restaurant.
Food was very plain on noodles and rice and lemon chicken ..pot stickers and beef broccoli 🥦 yum 😋 beautiful place beautiful plated food but the amount was small
We had take out and were excited since we love China House in Novato. Admittedly we compared quality and portions to Novato location. The young man who gave me the order told me they are all independently owned. The portions were smaller and seemed pricier than the Marin county location. Chicken teriyaki was in a lot of broth with onions and mushrooms, not what we expected. Shrimp with walnuts was okay but not very flavorful and heavily breaded. We would try it again but with enough time, make the drive to Novato.

Friendly and fast service. Mediocre food.
I’m from Detroit, was hoping with the high reviews that this spot would be solid. Unfortunately not. The fried rice was even fried. There was little to none, chicken in my chicken fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken was hard with every bite. After throwing it in the skillet at home and doctoring it up, I began to like it.
Very nice people, but the food is a two at best. I have to say, I eat in many chineese restaurants across the country, and for having proprietors of Chineese descent, It was a let down. Maybe it was just a bad night for them.
Kung Pao Chicken dish is never consistent. Sometimes the sauce is great with a thicker consistency, but most of the time it's oily and tasteless and the meat is dry.
Very disappointed Szechuan chicken looked like hot and spicy soup lemon chicken was way too sweet and vegetable fried rice had no flavor but they are very quick that's why I'm giving them the two stars
I ordered 2 dishes: BBQ Pork Chow Mein and Cherry Pork. The chow mein was just ok. I ate it all. The Cherry Pork was the worst I’ve ever purchased. I ate three bites and left the rest when I left. It wasn’t even close. Waitress was nice. Reception was cold and unfriendly. Not much to recommend here. I’ll keep looking for a top notch local Chinese restaurant. I lived in SF for fifty years. I think I’ve got my work cut out for me.
Orange chicken was over cooked and very dry. No spice, no vegetables or side of rice. Dumplings were tasty. But the chicken and another noodle dish were really awful- I actually threw them out. I’m surprised at the quality of each item after reading the positive reviews. I like both authentic and “American” Chinese food…but this food was cooked and seasoned very poorly. I’d suggest looking elsewhere for Chinese food.

Another restaurant that doesn't bother to update ehen it closes. The laziness and apathy is galling.
This is not a decent Chinese restaurant. The food here is extremely disappointing. :(
The chicken was re-heated, tough and not edible.
Over priced and not really tasty
I decided to go to this Chinese restaurant for Special Fried Rice and Sesame Chicken. A local told me that this was the best place in town and that they had been here for a while, well I think it’s time for them to Close Shop. There was NOTHING Special about the rice and the Sesame Chicken had no favor for $9.75, did I mentioned that it did not come with any rice, NOTHING! Upon my arrival the lady who took our order was nice, while the food was being prepared we decided to take a walk and look around. When we returned to pick up our food she said, “ I was looking for you”, it’s not like I wasn’t coming back. I asked for soy sauce and duck sauce it was like the nice lady disappeared, she threw 3 soy sauces in my box and said we have no duck sauce. On top of that she rushed me and my family out of the restaurant. I do not recommend this place!
service was horrible. Wait time was unacceptable. Food arrived in 30minute increments per person. By the time one person finish their meal the second plate was barely arriving. Avoid location.
One of the worst Chinese restaurants I've visited. Bad food & rude service. Don't waste your time nor money.
Worst chinese food ive ever eaten..worst in Vacaville Ca by my opinion..ordered mongolian beef(meat was grey..tasteless) wanted Gen Tso chicken..was told what they had was comparable..that was a lie..and beef fried rice..the rice was only thing good about the meal..but the downfall was the grey beef thrown in..smh..wont ever go back even if they paid me
Paid over $40 and had something metal in my food. I couldn’t eat it because I was worried if it was safe. The couple bites I had didn’t even taste good. We live in WA so was trying a new place, if you’re like me trying to find a yummy Chinese place, THIS IS NOT IT!!!

Unfortunately I think there are way better places to eat in Vacaville, honestly ANYWHERE. We came here to celebrate a birthday and nothing about the experience was giving... We were placed at the table right next to the kitchen exit in an almost empty restaurant making us inconvenient for staff. Though the food came out quick not at one moment did we SMELL it being prepared. The food heavily lacked Flavor and presentation. We ordered pot stickers that were still raw (meat and dough), egg rolls that were crispy (that was a plus) yet had hamburger meat inside of them and tasted like oil, sweet n sour chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken that tasted like black licorice, Mongolian beef that tasted like the depths of the sea bed floor, The fried rice was white had no egg or soy sauce , the meat was over fried and too hard to eat yet very soupy with sauce. When we asked if we could order something else in substitution for an item none of us liked the women serving us blatantly said “NO, you ordered (said item). Wild customer service honestly. 10 people and almost $200 later not a single person enjoyed their meal. Strongly advise you explore your options before settling here. Any comment below raving this place is great do a background check. This was atrocious.
1 star I don’t know how you mess up Chinese food, but they figured it out. I should’ve trusted my gut when they said our large to go order would be ready in 10–15 minutes. That should’ve been the first red flag. We ordered chicken fried rice, fried chicken, honey walnut shrimp, egg rolls, chow fun, and their so called house special spareribs. We showed up at the 10 minute mark and surprise….the food was already bagged and waiting. Should’ve walked away right then. The inside of the place looked old and neglected, surprising considering it’s on Main Street. But we were hungry, they had made the food, so we paid $87 and took it home. That’s where the real disappointment started. The fried chicken wasn’t wings, it was random dry chunks of meat, like bad karaage with zero flavor. The egg rolls were pitiful. Barely any filling, mostly soggy cabbage. The chow fun? Colorless, flavorless, just sad. The spareribs were chopped up, deep fried meat chunks. Saucy but somehow flavorless. Just depressing. The fried rice was bland and forgettable. Only thing decent was the shrimp, and even that wasn’t anything to write home about. $87 down the drain. I’m honestly mad. I don’t know who’s leaving good reviews but I swear they must be bots. This place needs a visit from Gordon Ramsay ASAP. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.
