La Guagua Vacaville Reviews
I believe La Guagua is a top 3 restaurant to eat in Vacaville. Everything that I have eaten at La Guagua is fantastic. They have delicious sauces. All the foods either savory or sweet are delicious. They do not usually have a server that delivers the food to the tables, but the staff are friendly and great at their job. The different Latin American inspired drinks also taste really great.
My friends & I are always trying new places. We drove from Sacramento to try this little place after reading some reviews and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious! We had the Churrasco sandwich , Chilaquiles Divorciados, Topa Vieja and tostones. We'll be definitely be back and will be recommending to friends. Plus the ladies that helped us were very nice.
Such a great breakfast place if you’re wanting something out of the ordinary. It’s the whole menu all the time and the sandwich I had was one of the best ever- it had shredded beef beans and plantains. Don’t fear the plantains, they’re like delicious sweet potatoes. Sauces are yummy too and their coffee selection is impressive! Will be back for sure.
It's easy to miss, and I've been passing it by, but meaning to go. Aside from a few seats to wait for take out ( and thank the fire-person from the station accross the street!), there's only outdoor seating, Empanada's weren't on the menu, but they had beef and pork.I got the beef; maybe a fine chop rather than ground, and with nice flavors. They got husbands seal of approval The "tostones rellenos" didn't have the shrimp decribed on the menu, but they were deliciously crispy tostones with toppings. I ate these while waiting. They may not be as crispy eaten later. To go,I also got the "Pabellon" ( sweet plantains, shredded beef, black beans) and the Cubano which comes with choice of sweet or white potato fries A nice addition to the community!
My wife and I came for brunch. Initially, they weren’t busy, but shortly after there was a steady stream of patrons. Their parking lot is very small, so it can fill up fast (there is street parking on Stevenson St). There is no indoor seating, but do have a nice outdoor patio with heaters so it is pleasant sitting outside to dine. The staff are very nice and helpful when trying to figure out what to order. The few times I have eaten here, the food has always been consistently good. Today I got the Cubano Sandwich with Potato Fries plus the house coffee and my wife got the Churrasco Sandwich with Potato Fries plus Caramel Latte. We decided to split each sandwich so we can taste both. The Cubano Sandwich had slow roasted pork, ham and Swiss cheese which had a nice blend of flavors and the pork was tender. The Churrasco Sandwich had grilled steak which had a good flavor, but I found it to be a little tough, but Didn’t need a chainsaw to chew through. Both coffees were good and were strong. If you are looking for good Latin Food (Cuban flavors), come give them a try.
Even on a very windy day, this place was great! Went here on a Monday morning, no wait, customer service was excellent, latte, and food was hot and fresh! We enjoyed a caramel latte, french toast, and breakfast burrito. All was amazing!
Loved my dish. It was so good. The service was great and the food came out hot and fresh. Define worth trying if you like Latin food.
Great addition to the neighborhood. I had a beer on the patio while waiting for my food to go. Quality, friendly staff and the food lived up to expectations when I got home. So glad to have another fantastic food option downtown. I had the croquettes pollo, Cubano, mini Al pastor tacos and the Arepas Rumbera. Unfortunately they were sold out of the empanadas and steak but that’s what I get for showing up 30 minutes before closing. I’ll be back so no worries. Looking forward to trying their breakfast items. Keep it up guys! Oh and I almost forgot, they have Hazy on the 80 from Solano brewing so a real win win.

Great food and service. Flavor like I never knew existed. Cuban sandwich was awesome. Reminds me of Key West. While waiting I was watching the big screen tv showing all the food. It all looks delicious.
Took the family out for lunch everyone loved it. Some of the best food we have had anywhere. Great quality of ingredients, so many great flavors. A ton of love goes into what they make.
I’ve tried a few items on their menu, and they were all great. Plenty of seating, and outdoor heating for the cold. Would recommend!

This place is delicious! They have a wide variety of different foods and it’s all very flavorful. The staff is super friendly and helpful in answering any questions. They have a nice covered patio to enjoy your food on. This place is highly recommended!
Such a cute little view with such well balanced flavors. No wait, dog friendly, good space. Perfect quaint brunch place.
My husband I tried this restaurant out for the first time. I love that they have a wide menu, staff were friendly and this seems to be the place where all the locals go. I ordered the breakfast tostadas and my husband got the burger and fries. The burger was very good, high quality meat, however a little too greasy. Tostadas were delicious!
Food was really good we had, cuban lemonade so delicious, cortadito, the chicken empanadas and ropa vieja. The only thing that bothers me a little is to much taste of cumin.
Portion size was more like an appetizer for an entrée, but overall everything was good

The French Toast was soooo DRY. FRENCH TOAST is supposed to be soaked in egg and grilled. This one came out as Toast sprinkled in powdered sugar. Disappointed. The chiliquiles was done well. The beans and plantains were yummy. Just wish there was a larger portion of beans, and more garlic flavor that would have made to meal more satisfying. Maybe they can add some coverings to the seating area for Winter. Outdoor seating great in nice weather.

Service is great! People very helpful and friendly. The bite I took was tasty, unfortunately, the additional garnish of hair made it impossible for me to finish my dish. Perhaps I will give them an other chance…will be more aware of my meal before driving away.

Called yesterday around 3:15 pm to ask if they still had empanadas. The gentleman that answered proceeded to tell me they were all out, changed my mind and decided to order something else so I called back and no answer. I called about 3 times before leaving my house and decided to just order at the restaurant. I arrived around 4:30 and when i arrived the gentleman there told me sorry no more orders the kitchen is closed. So disappointing and unprofessional! If a restaurants hours state they close at 4:00 pm shouldn’t that be the same time your kitchen closes? Or maybe if you would have answered my phone calls early on I would have been able to place an order and get the food I wanted. This is not the first time this happens. It’s so upsetting I don’t think I’ll be going back.
I just felt like the cashier wasn’t so nice at all, and it took a long time for my order to be ready more than 15 minutes, and my daughter was thirsty too she ordered a drink that took more than 15 minutes to be ready plus the lady kept taking orders when i believe that it should go in order, she said she was the only cashier, and it was true but she could of make my drink/smoothie before continuing to take more orders since anyways all the other orders were not ready… overall my plate was good i had fried plantain and beans… the other one was so so but if i would have to say i don’t recommend this place….
Attended their 1st Annual Anniversary and food took 30 minutes for food to reach the table. Make sure you keep your receipt because they will chase you down and claim you didn’t pay your bill. Keep your receipt, the owner will say you didn’t pay your bill. Even with receipt in your hand.
