Been going here since it opened in 1995, and after trying other Subway stores, I know why this will remain the only Subway I ever go to. Always fresh, clean and employees are friendly. I've tried the Tuna sandwich at other Subways, and it's difficult to get past the stale, old taste and smell. This store stays busy (another reason why I guess the food is so fresh), so I see why they need to move quickly, but still remain personable. Family owned business, same owners since the store opened, it's a rare find these days. They made it through Covid with many of the same employees it seems, when other places were laying people off. Good people, and great food. A Valley Stream staple.
Have purchased many subs here and when I went to use my points for a free sub they informed me they don’t participate in the promo. The app allowed the order to be placed and I was not notified until I arrived. So disappointed and frustrated by this location.
Didn’t honor my coupon (4th free sub) asked for my previous receipt of the last 3 times i ordered then threw away my sub
Should have read the reviews before coming here. The workers here are so rude and service is just plain terrible, more specifically the male manager is so rude! Not coming back.
I had a coupon for a free footlong and placed an online order. It was confirmed, but when I arrived the store said they never received it. I checked my email and saw it had been canceled. I placed a second order while standing in the store, and again it was confirmed but mysteriously not received. A few minutes later it was canceled as well, even though they were receiving other online orders. It was clear the staff were canceling my order because it was free. I ordered the same thing at another Subway location and had no issues. They have terrible customer service, they are liars, they wasted my time and just unprofessional.
⸻ I ordered a Veggie Delite and asked for the sauce on the side. The worker was kind and gave it to me correctly, but then the manager made fun of me in front of others. He said the sandwich had sauce both on the side and inside, even though it didn’t. The worker politely explained that she hadn’t put any sauce in the bread, but the manager still acted rude. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Customers should feel respected, not mocked, when they place a simple request.
I recently visited the Subway at Merrick Valley Stream, and I was very disappointed with my experience. The staff displayed a rude and unhelpful attitude, which became even more noticeable when they realized I was using a coupon. It felt like using a discount annoyed them, which is unacceptable for any customer. The food itself was also extremely disappointing. I ordered sandwiches with tuna and chicken, but they barely put any filling in them. I honestly felt like I was just eating bread, with almost no tuna or chicken at all. The portions were tiny, making the sandwiches feel incomplete and poorly prepared. The overall experience was frustrating. While the store wasn’t dirty, the inattentive service and lack of proper food preparation left a very negative impression. Subway is known for fresh ingredients and customizable sandwiches, but this location completely failed to meet those standards. I hope management addresses the staff’s behavior and ensures sandwiches are made properly. Customers deserve friendly service and properly prepared food, whether they use a coupon or not.
If I could give them negative zero I would. They need to close. Every time I go in there is someone arguing about their order with them. They have absolutely zero care for their job slop everything on w a frown. I wonder who owns this location? Says a lot.
Horrible customer service they very rude. They put very little meat and cheese. You always have to tell him to add more extremely slow in service.
Bad customer service. Worker was rude and in a rush to get me out of there and wanted me to tell him what I wanted all at once. Ordered multiple sandwiches each with different things. Said he had other work that he could be doing in the back. Very sloppy. Please remember people are eating what you make and it does not kill you to be kind.
Its so dirty in there! The food looks gross and as if its been sitting there for too long 😭. They give you attitude when you ask them something. Had a coupon on my app, asked if they accepted in store. Gave me such an attitude, especially the lady w the glasses at the register.
My family came here last night for food and two of us got sick after eating the food. I feel that they may not be preparing fresh food or maintaing proper temperature control for their products. I am aware im not the only customer getting sick from this location. Something needs to happen.
This is my third time eating here and I kid you not this is my third time getting sick and vomiting this food. You might wonder why I would order from it those two other times but I had no idea it was because of their un fresh food .. I always made excuses on why I would always vomit but the third time is just not a coincidence and reading all these reviews also stamps it for me . Disgusting don’t go here
I am prefacing my review with an apology, but it needs to be said…I stopped in for a quick bite…too tired to cook after a long day. I could not believe that I was competing with a roach at the cash register. At first I thought it was a fly, but it wasn’t flying away. I said something to the server and he swats it to the floor with the hands that prepared my food. Trying not to make a bigger scene, I take my card, receipt and food and walk out with a disgusted look and feeling in my stomach. I thought I could forget about my experience and with the help of a drink…eat my food. It did not happen…as I drove, I envisioned the roach romancing the cookies I got, the bread…my sandwich. I could not eat this and I will not be going back there. I felt so bad for the worker, but I need to start asking for my money back. I’m out 11 bucks and still stopped at McDonald’s for a second chance.
Ordered ahead here via app for pick up. They don’t take any of the coupons, aight fine. Was in a rush but when I get here to do my pick up. I head to the counter. Give them my name like all the other subways. The cashier insists on seeing my phone which was in the car with my family because I might be “scamming them”. It’s not like a customer coming in could’ve seen the name on the receipt on the far back counter. Also, my order was the only sandwich there, not like there was confusion between two Johns or Roberts or something like that. Guy straight refused to give me my order unless I went back outside to get it. Had a terrible attitude. 👎🏻👎🏻
The employees and owner had such a nasty attitude. Two kids went in and I recommended a coupon which the owner and employees refused to use because they didn’t feel like saving the kids some money on their order and then all three of them proceeded to yell at me for recommending a coupon to KIDS. They failed to explain the use of coupon instead of helping the little boys out. I was so disappointed in someone that calls themselves an owner. Never again.
Ordered 2 custom salads online and the order was screwed up. Didn't realize till I got home. I paid for double meat on 2 different meats and did not get it. Totally skimped on meat and other ingredients. Not sure what I paid for there. Basically ignored other customizations I requested. To be fair it was fresh and the store itself seemed clean.
