An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment you walk in, the kindness of the staff stands out, always attentive and welcoming, along with the impeccable presentation of the restaurant, thoughtfully designed and maintained with exceptional cleanliness. The food is simply outstanding, with a special mention for their gluten-free dishes, which are not only perfectly prepared but also rival traditional cuisine in every way: flavor, texture, and presentation are all top-notch. I personally tried the gnocchi pasta with scallops and zucchini, and it was a true delight: soft, delicate gnocchi, scallops cooked to perfection, and a beautifully balanced combination of flavors that reflects great care, high-quality ingredients, and excellent culinary technique. A restaurant that truly cares about its guests, strives for excellence, and leaves you wanting to come back even before finishing your plate. Highly recommended for everyone, whether you are gluten-free or not. A place you will definitely want to return to again and again.

This place is unexpectedly the best Italian place we ever had. Probably the best in Venice. We tried a couple of restaurant. Their seafood and creme brulee is the best!! Order it!! Pizza was good too. Highly recommend. The waiter guy was funny and friendly.

COME HERE!!!!!!!!! The best gnocci I have ever eaten. Then best tiramisu I have ever eaten. (I’ve been in Italy, travelling for 2.5 months) Exquisite service & food. Unbelievably reasonably priced for such good quality. This has been the highlight of my Venice stay. Everything was top class. No improvements necessary. I got gluten free bread and crostini given. The gnocci, pasta & pizza could be made gluten free. The house red wine was fantastic. The tiramisu was gluten free. Just, come here, it’s the best decision you’ll make in Venice.

Had lunch here today with my 2 kids. Their scallops were very fresh and the gnocchi is out of this world. Portion is proper, only the calzone was quite big for my teenager. The men were very kind. They could have much more customers if they done more marketing but it is an authentic local restaurant which is not easy to find in this tourist area. Highly recommend. P.S: the lemon sobert was yummy!

After a long day of touring the beautiful surrounding islands we came across Al Vecio Canton the music and the cool vibe drew is in. We asked for AC and the waiter took us upstairs. With the low ceilings and the cool decor, we knew we were in someplace special. My wife and I weren't super hungry so we shared the calzone. The light crust was domed high and was at least 14 inches across. Once we tasted it we became very hungry and demolished it. Paired with inexpensive wine and an Apriol Spritz. We were satisfied and out the door for just 30 euro. You won't go wrong with this restaurant.

Cozy place with downstairs and upstairs so just ask if they have a table even if they look busy. Great food - gnocchi was really great with a very nice seafood sauce with scallops. Even basic penne with veggies was lovely. Sea bass came on fun potatoes tower.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic staff. Gluten free pizza was excellent. My wife said it was way better than the regular pizza she had elsewhere. Gnocchi carbonara was delicious (gnocchi is the GF paster option). The upstairs waiter was amazing.. Racing around making everyone happy, speaking in English, French, Italian.. Then broke out a little Japanese for a young Japanese couple.

We had really good pizzas, and I especially enjoyed the calzone that I fully recommend 😍 Strangely the tiramisu wasn't what I would call a tiramisu, but another type of dessert that was ok, but not a tiramisu. That said, I just saw the other reviews and the photos of the tiramisu looks like they have a proper one = either they changed their recipe, either they made a mistake and gave us another dessert 😅 In any case, it was good and the service was really nice, so still fully recommended 😊

Best 2 plates of food in Venice, genuinely. The liver was perfectly cooked, and the gnocchi with courgette came with a veg broth sauce....it was out of the world. Seasoned perfectly and handled my gluten and dairy intolerance really well.

I was Googling where to eat and came across this place. To be honest, I just wanted a delicious seafood pasta. We had a wonderful dinner. The Rajaa waiter was very nice and funny. I definitely recommend this place if you want to get a simple, but such a pleasant and friendly atmosphere!

What a great place to eat! We just had a pizza and the carbonara and they were both fantastic! Pizza is made fresh and authentic and the carbonara was made right with lots of guanciale. Restaurant is nice and clean and the waiters are super friendly. Totally recommended, I found it very cheap, 35€ or so including a 5€ cover charge for 2, we didn’t order alcohol or dessert just the two meals and sparkling water and we left full and happy!

We had lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon. No wait. We ordered stuffed fried olives for an appetizer. I personally don’t like the taste of olives. They were not strong tasting, they were delicious and I ate my share. I had the seafood pasta. The sauce had a little bit of spice to it which was perfect. My wife had the seafood sampler appetizer. The plate looked delicious. She enjoyed it all. For desert we shared the pistachio (ice cream?). We enjoyed it as much as our meals. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. The staff, the food, the ambiance was all outstanding.

One of our best family dinners with friends here. Felt like all the patrons were locals. Everything was spectacular... From seafood platter to spaghetti busera, apps, sea bass.. Excellent and super reasonable price.

Our second meal here during our stay in Venice, both fantastic. Great relaxed atmosphere and superb options for gluten free, especially the Tiramisu. Well worth a visit or two.

Ho mangiato a pranzo una pizza e un tiramisù, entrambi buoni. Non ha la certificazione AIC, ma sono stata benissimo, sono molto attenti evidentemente al cliente celiaco, la pizza gluten free infatti l'ho vista uscire da una parte diversa rispetto ai piatti normali. Servizio veloce e personale molto cortese. Ve lo consiglio.

Locale centrale, tradizionale e accogliente, con una buona selezione di piatti tipici veneziani e diverse opzioni tra cui scegliere. Tutto buono, ma la vera differenza l’ha fatta il nostro cameriere, il signor Diego. Gentile, disponibile, attento e simpatico. Grazie a lui ci siamo sentiti come a casa e il ristorante è diventato per noi la scelta migliore a Venezia per una cena autentica e piacevole.

Un ristorante che all'inizio non gli dai nemmeno un euro, infatti non ha la migliore visibilità molto probabilmente perché dentro pure è piccolo e non ci sono insegne turistiche. Il cibo devo dire che è buono, ma le pizza meritano qualcosa in più, la base è un po secca e non c'è molto sugo ma alla fine sono abbastanza buone. Molto buona la presenza di cibi senza glutine come lasagne e pizze anche abbastanza buoni ma si vede che sono presi dalla scatola di plastica e buttati sul piatto. L'unico problema è che sul menù c'è scritto che il coperto è 2.50€ ma alla fine magicamente diventano 3... Ma consigliato!

Grabbed a takeaway pizza from here and it hit the spot! The place seemed cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff and a steady flow of customers – always a good sign. Prices were decent for Venice, and the pizza was fresh and tasty. It was quite busy, so clearly a popular choice among locals and tourists alike. Would definitely stop by again, maybe next time for a sit-down meal.

Unpretentious, low key and superb food. Just good ingredients cooked well. Letting the produce sing on its own. Squid ink pasta has got to be one of the best I have tried (sometimes people go a little too hard on the ink or try too hard). Seafood pasta was *chef’s kiss*. Would drink the sauce up if I could (I probably could). I came to this restaurant as the original restaurant I wanted to go was fully booked. What a great stumble. Not forgetting to mention, really reasonable prices!

I think that pasta, beef, beer, dessert, and service were all very good. I am really glad that we tried this restaurant. Highly recommend if you wanted to taste some local flavors.

Ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante mentre passeggiavamo per le stradine caratteristiche di Venezia. Molto carino l'interno che si divide su 2 piani... Abbiamo testato il menù degustazione Veneziano e siamo rimasti soddisfatti dalle materie prime dalle porzioni e dal gusto dei piatti tipici. Per essere in pieno centro il prezzo è giustissimo,22€ a testa. Ottimo!

Honestly I should’ve known when I clearly asked for a Hugo Spritz and was given an Aperol that these people just didn’t really care. I ordered a margarita pizza to go and instead got a cheese pizza??? I also ordered a salad as well but the portion size is questionable. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is that even though I was accidentally given an Aperol spritz it was surprisingly delicious.

Estrema maleducazione da parte di un cameriere, tant’è che ci siamo alzati prima di ordinare. Alle richieste di cosa ci fosse senza glutine, il cameriere si è mostrato scocciato di spiegare cosa ci fosse, usando parole non consone, il tutto mentre stava andando via, non facendosi capire. Non è il modo di trattare i clienti. Esperienza mia successa prima.

La pasta è piuttosto mediocre, niente di speciale, ma non è questo il vero problema. Quello che mi ha lasciato un cattivo ricordo è la scortesia e la scarsa simpatia nel servizio. In particolare il cameriere più anziano e alto è stato piuttosto maleducato quando ho chiesto spiegazioni su un supplemento di 3 euro aggiunto al conto, oltre a pasta e vino. Mi è stato detto che si tratta di un costo per il “coperto”. Mi hanno servito del pane e dei grissini che non ho richiesto, non ho mangiato e che sono stati poi ritirati e riutilizzati per un altro cliente. Capisco quindi che il costo sia per quello, ma io non l’ho chiesto né consumato. Nel complesso, l’ambiente è piuttosto scadente e anche il servizio lo è. A Venezia ci sono sicuramente posti migliori che consiglio rispetto a questo. The pasta is quite average, nothing special, but that’s not really what I want to complain about. What truly disappointed me was the rudeness and lack of friendliness in the service. In particular, the older, tall waiter was quite impolite when I asked why an extra 3-euro charge was added to the bill, on top of the pasta and wine. I was told it was a “table setting” or cover charge. I was served bread and breadsticks that I did not ask for, did not eat, and which were then taken away and reused for the next customer. I understand that this is what the charge is for, but I neither requested nor consumed it. Overall, the atmosphere feels rather low-quality, and the service as well. There are definitely better places in Venice that I would recommend instead.

La pizza mangiabile, ma l' accoglienza all' ingresso e la cameriera dovrebbero partecipare ad un corso di educazione!!! Alla richiesta di cosa volevamo da bere, abbiamo risposto "acqua perché dobbiamo guidare" con fare molto sarcastico ci ha risposto " dovete guidare il vaporetto o la barca"? No! La macchina parcheggiata al Tronchetto!! Per non parlare che ogni due secondi, sempre la cameriera, veniva a controllare per portare via i piatti, alla fine una commensale ha detto di portare pure via il piatto perché con il fiato sul collo non se la sentiva più.
