KFC Ventura Reviews
I couldn’t be happier with this service. I come to this KFC at least 12 times plus a month at this location located in Ventura California on telephone Road. #K312003. is the best location in my opinion especially Cassius. She’s a wonderful employee goes above and beyond when coming to service and customer service and making sure the food is prepared on time and ready.
Customer service was phenomenal!! Really enjoyed chatting with the girl who waited on us!! Loved their Pepsi Cream Soda!! Never heard of it or tried it before but it was DELICIOUS!!
Great food and staff!!! The night crew is amazing!!! Always so friendly and helpful!
I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews, perhaps I've been one of the lucky ones. I order online (the app has great deals) and pick up. I lowered the rating to 4 stars because I have to wait sometimes (the horror!). They seem to be short-staffed so maybe we can show a little patience.
I enjoyed the 2 piece dark meat meal.

There was "fantasy" playing by Mariah Carey, when we walked in the person cleaning lobby greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The uniform at KFC could not be any cooler, if I were to find the modern KFC uniform in a thrift store I would instantly buy it. Food came out in less than 2 minutes and the person serving our food asked if we needed anything else with our food. Overall the best experience I have ever had at any restaurant ever.
Love me Some KFC. This particular store was very clean and the service was Great the food is perfect though the Coleslaw wasn't quite as good this time as I remember the me. I will also give you a tip which most of you probably know this is better eating within 5-10 minutes of getting home or in the store. Microwaving it later doesn't quite have the same Ummph.
You get what you pay for at KFC, sometimes it’s really great, other times is not so great. Today at lunch the chicken seemed like a combination of over fried and old/sitting under hot lamp. They always do have good deals at KFC though, today I think I got a 2 piece combo box for $7.99 came with a drink, 2 sides, a biscuit, a leg and thigh, You can’t beat that. Thankfully no line in the drive through since I was on my lunch break and running out of time to get back. Staff was polite and got me my order and sauces promptly. Not somewhere I’d recommend eating all the time, but here and there it’s a nice spot for some lunch or dinner.
How do you get overcooked chicken tenders and undercooked breading at the time? Easy, you DONT shake up the basket to separate the tenders so they all stick together and then you have clumps of undercooked breading. Chicken somehow felt like rubber. This is my personal experience. Not sure if someone had a bad day. Still gonna order again. I love KFC as a franchise.
Good grief! I just picked up their macaroni & cheese “side “ with chicken pot pies. The pies are GREAT but the $3.95 Mac & cheese is MINISCULE! Tiny! Don’t waste even $.50 on this!

Food is hot and fresh and delicious. I have a reason why I only gave a 3 point. I placed my online order quite early at 10:36am for a pick up time of 11:15am so that I don't rush the staff. I arrived at 11:16am, but I had to stand by the counter and wait for about 4 minutes before I can talk to a staff (I was the only person in the lobby) to pick up my online order that was supposed to be picked up at 11:15am.

They ran out of white meat but still charge you for it on the app. There should be a way for the app to indicate any shortages
The staff couldn't handle the minimal amount of people who soon piled up waiting in line. It took over 5 minutes for someone to come to the register and we were the only ones there for a little bit.. the seating is nice.. but was neglected to be cleaned up. I would only come back to this KFC for its "convenience", and the fact that I enjoy their $5 fill up.

The food was mostly as expected, but the service was non-existent. The register was closed, with a sign saying to use the kiosk, which I can understand if maybe they were understaffed. But the staff completely ignored all of the guests in the restaurant, including us. The only exception to this was when they were handing us our food. At one point there were 3 of us (guests) standing patiently at the counter because we needed help. We had all already ordered using the kiosk. I had never received the drinks for my order, sauces, or the plasticware to eat our food. There were 3 separate employees that looked over at the counter more than once, so they definitely saw us waiting patiently. Every time they looked over they proceeded to turn their backs on us without saying a word. After several minutes of this I finally spoke up and called someone over, so I finally got what I needed. When the employee was done helping me they didn't even check with the other 2 guests which obviously needed help as well. So I spoke up again and told the employee that these people were also waiting to be helped. I'm not sure if they just have a poor training program or if the restaurant is just poorly managed, but I will not be back. I should also mention that half of the tables were dirty, the trash was overflowing, and there was no ice in the soda fountain ice dispenser.
My ex girlfriend wrote a review on here but deleted it because of backlash, this is my take on this kfc location. It's clean the food is the regular kfc nothing to complain about but the service, oh man the service is honestly horrible here. I pickup door dashes from this location and I eat at this location. Whether I'm picking up a doordash order or grabbing some food here. The employees are extremely rude. The women from that work here say mean things about you while your standing right there something that ive read in other reviews so that is a fact. It's not all the girls just a few. They also take forever on your order when there's 4 employees and literally no one in there and made me wait over 15 minutes once. The guys there on the other hand see me at the counterand are always helpful and extremely nice so idk what's going on which this is another thing I noticed in other bad reviews so this must be factual. If your getting paid $20 an hour just try to be nice, helpful, and do your job. I don't get how that's so hard?

Perhaps you should not only have EBT, but ensure your card reader can, I don't know, process the cards? I was stuck in an endless loop of it telling me to swipe and insert chip. This card has no problem at Subway or anywhere else; I've had it a few months, it's new. When I politely informed a girl in drive-thru to get assistance, she whipped around, and in the nastiest, snobbiest voice said, "Give me 5 minutes, I have a long drive thru line!" She was utterly repulsive and snide, then turns back around and gives the friendliest service to the others in their cars. Well, hon, I'm glad I walked out and went to Trader Joe's. Got some healthy food and exercise. Maybe you should try it.
As you know, I very rarely post a negative review for any business. But I've never experienced anything like this before (and hope to never experience it again). Sunday, August 14, 2022 While visiting our family and friends in California, we didn't feel like cooking and wanted something easy and nearby. We chose KFC outlet (#1478) located at 3553 Telegraph Road, Ventura CA. I went through the drive-thru and ordered a original recipe 12-piece chicken meal. As often happens, it was somewhat difficult to hear the employee who was taking my order (the tiny speaker near the outside menu wasn't loud enough to compete with the noise of the nearby traffic). However, I did manage to hear her say that they "could not fill the entire order with the original recipe because they had none." When I asked how long it would take before more of the original recipe would be ready, she replied "20 minutes." I didn't feel like waiting that long so I said she could fill the rest of the order with the "extra crispy recipe." I pulled forward and when the employee came to the window I gave her my credit card. When she handed it back to me, I looked at the receipt and was surprised to see it was $40.72. I couldn't ever remember paying that much for KFC chicken before and I asked the young lady if that was correct. Without any explanation or help, she tersely replied, "it was." A "manager" then appeared and I explained that I didn't know the 12-piece meal was that expensive, and therefore would she please void the transaction. I was surprised when she immediately said, “I can’t refund your order." I asked her why not, and she said (and I'm not kidding here): "You knew what you ordered and what it cost when you ordered and you'll have to pay for it." She refused to void or refund my payment of $40.72 and finally shut the window in my face. Still in the drive-thru lane, I now had paid for the order I didn’t want which was now sitting inside on their counter. When I finally realized the manager was not going to refund my order I drove back home. August 14 Next, I called KFC Customer Service and relayed the incident to "Jasmine." She said I should not have had this problem and she would "have either a district manager or the franchise owner contact me immediately." Apparently this was not a company owned KFC, but rather, it was owned and operated by a franchisee. Monday August 15 Nothing from KFC so I went online and filed a written email complaint. Tuesday, August 16 Nothing from KFC. Wednesday August 17 Still nothing from KFC, but I did receive a “automated reply” to my email, saying I “would be contacted.” August 18 I got tired of waiting for anyone at KFC to contact me so I finally called the store and spoke to "Maria," the alleged "manager" that originally refused to void the sale or refund the charge to my credit card. I explained all I wanted was a void or refund and I'd never set foot near or in her store again. She agreed to refund my credit card, but insisted I'd have to come to the store to do it in person (just another hassle, of course, and with gas prices hovering at $6.00 a gallon, not a very efficient solution for me). At the location “Maria” took my card for a refund. There was no apology, and nothing that would indicate she was sorry for treating me so poorly. August 20 My credit card statement eventually reflected the refund. NOTE: As of this writing I still have NOT been contacted by phone or email by anyone at KFC. If I hadn’t directly initiated direct contact the “Maria,” the KFC Store “manager,” I doubt that I would have gotten my money back. I would then have had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge. This generally takes 4-6 weeks to resolve, and much longer if the merchant doesn’t respond, and given KFC’s complete lack of customer urgency, my dispute would have taken months to resolve. Who has time for that? Not me. My advice to others: AVOID THE ENTIRE CHAIN. There are so many other great chicken options that offer better food, better value, and exceptional customer care.

I am not surprise by the other comments stating that the customer service is really bad. I made an online order pick up during lunch time but had to wait for at least 10 minutes for someone to aknowledge me. They never aknowledge me, I had to request for my food to me handed to me while they were doing something else. It seems that they are focusing mostly on the drive-tru more and no one attends the front area inside. I was not happy that I had to wait so long after I already orderd ahead of time.

Worst service ever, can't understand what the front dude was asking me or trying to serve, dude can't even speak English. Name is Jaime you can already tell by that. I gotta post this again cause ethier Jaime, the area manager or his wife Breanna decided to take this down. But, just in case: Here is my review again, shot out to you two by the way.
They got some of my items missing, and when I tried to call them they didn’t respond at all. Online order picked up and because I am already tired from work I just realized that I got an incomplete order.
Here for 29 minutes I was finally handed my food, whoever the gray shirt person is, she did not even say thank you or sorry about the long wait. No manners these days I guess. After 7 minutes waiting in and empty line for someone to acknowledge me. One person ordered in front of me and was done. Then someone wanted to print out of their receipt and person at the register walked away for 4 minutes. The fifth time the gray shirt, probably manager, walked up to the front and didn't acknowledge me and walked away I asked if anyone was here taking orders. She was not polite said we have a lot of orders someone will be right with you. Where's the manager? How does KFC not know how poorly they perform? Every time I come to the Mills Avenue Ventura KFC it's a long wait and an empty drive-thru I don't understand why they are so slow with their service. Not to mention I never hear a please or a thank you . The food is awesome but the service has been horrible for years here. There's no quality control over the service they just ignore you while you stand there and wait to place an order. Finally 2 minutes later the cashier was back up to the front and took my order. Took 22 seconds. Now I'm waiting again. I understand, you can only make so much chicken at one time, there's eight employees in here. The service is just terrible though.
Extremely poor service. Left me waiting outside for 5 minutes without taking my order in the drive thru. Girl at the window was VERY rude. Much more worried about how she looked and then proceeded to talk about me while I was at the window. Taking and laughing at the rest of the crew because I was left waiting and asked for a discount. She mouthed the word “no” to the manager before she asked for the discount. I was parked and waited outside for 6 minutes like they asked. Went inside and waited 13 minutes. The girl at the window was giving me dirty looks the whole time. Bizarre behavior and bad service and worse food.
