Bar Sant'Antonio Vercelli Reviews
A city meeting place with the good traditions of very professional hospitality
Everything was perfect, breakfast was professional and friendly staff.
The city's historic bar...it's not modern or anything else, but something more...professionalism, reliability...excellent croissants!!...and that's not all... I often go for coffee or breakfast...one of the few bars that open early...!
One of the few remaining historic cafés in Vercelli where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee! As a child, I often went there with my grandfather, and then passed it down to my brother. I had the opportunity to return a few months ago when I moved to a new location at work. What can I say: very good coffee, friendly owners, always eager to keep the place clean and tidy. The croissants are delicious and soft, even in the late afternoon. You can also reach it by car, as it has free parking.
As soon as I can find a free minute, I stop by for my usual frothy coffee, and what can I say other than that it's expertly prepared. Very good, the place is clean, and the owners are always busy tidying up and cleaning. I'm truly fortunate to have it close to work!
Bar with various seats both inside and outside, well stocked and polite and professional staff
For generations, one of Vercelli's historic bars, a must-visit for locals. The sandwiches are excellent, always made fresh daily and with top-quality ingredients. Congratulations!
Classic breakfast with cappuccino and brioches (even late you can almost always find them...) as good as if they were from a pastry shop
Nice place... it was the place of my youth... I recommend it
This is the best typical bar in town. Ice-cream's, coffee and cappuccino are a the real italian experience.
Friendly staff and excellent also during lunch break for a nice sandwich prepared by them
A bar I used to frequent as a girl. It was great... now I pop in for breakfast some mornings. Excellent croissants of various kinds, good cappuccino and coffee, a friendly atmosphere where you feel at ease.
One of the most well-known and historic ice cream parlor cafes in Vercelli, located at the end of Corso Libertà near the former Garrone barracks, with convenient free and hourly parking, excellent for coffee, breakfast, business lunches, aperitifs, comfortable internal room with tables, very welcoming and private where you can enjoy drinks and aperitifs in peace in a very welcoming and typical place.
The egg sandwich dates back to my old days in the 70s and is practically identical to the tastes of the time, a nice throwback.
The café is located in a strategic location, close to schools and other amenities. The interior is decorated in walnut tones, making it warm and welcoming. The coffee is really good; I drink it plain, so it's pure. They have a wide variety of croissants and brioches, and you can also choose from savory options. Friendly staff.
Whether it's a romantic first date, a business coffee, or simply a break or an aperitif, the venue and staff cater to everyone's needs. Plenty of free parking is available. Products are always fresh and available.
Writing this review, the negative content of which hurts me more than the owners of this historic Vercelli bar. This sentiment stems from the fact that I consider the owners to be excellent people, but the offerings they offer leave much to be desired. This morning, I went for breakfast there with two other colleagues, changing my usual habits of frequenting the cafeteria adjacent to my workplace. This choice was dictated by logistical convenience and the need to enjoy a cappuccino "American-style" to optimize my time and start my workday very early. This morning, in fact, wasn't my first visit to this bar, as I've already visited for breakfast with my beloved parents. The place is large, with plenty of seating inside and outside, but it's clearly poorly sanitized, with leftover dishes and food from the previous breakfast on the table, and napkins forgotten on the floor. The place is generally dark, with austere furnishings and an outdated design that has never been updated. The croissants were requested, but not particularly jam-filled, flavorful, and tasty. The cappuccino was good enough. There were a lot of customers. Very friendly staff. After breakfast, I left; one of my prerogatives is obsessive punctuality. I quickly looked for a parking spot as close as possible to my workplace, as the sky threatened a downpour, and I began my workday.
If it weren't for their strategic location, facing the morning sun and having plenty of parking nearby, they'd be truly starving and certainly wouldn't have lasted long, commercially speaking. But in 2022, can you still serve takeaway coffee by recycling common plastic cups (really plastic, not compostable), even with a lid made of aluminum foil and placed in estethe cup cartons? And the teaspoon? I don't even know about the spoon, but they give you an ice cream spoon from 30 years ago. The ice cream, nothing special by the way, you can't take it home because they don't have polystyrene containers. And then, appearance aside, the place isn't any better: furnishings aren't vintage, but rather old and shabby, dirty corners, decaying paintwork, people smoking in the doorway, well-tolerated by the owners. Absolutely not recommended. Avoid and change course… February 9, 2023, and seven months after the initial review, there's reason to be optimistic about the future: the cups (thank goodness or some serious inspection) are no longer plastic, but the (obviously broken) takeaway lids are still a futuristic project… and estathe? A must… but how much estathe do you sell to recycle the cardboard? Photo from February 9, 2023…
Ice creams since 1960 this is what is written outside I went in today to get an ice cream at around 12 I ask if I can have one there are about 10 flavors all intact without any indication of the flavors, I ask for the flavors she lists them one by one and I choose strawberry and chocolate I have to say that I have never found such an inedible chocolate strongly discouraged
