Caffè Cavour Vercelli Reviews
BAR BOMBA! A Vercelli ormai una garanzia da anni. Cocktail molto buoni, prezzi contenuti, personale gentile e preparato, aperitivo abbondante e di buona qualità; il tutto immerso in un contesto cittadino grazioso: piazza Cavour. Consigliatissimo. 5/5
I've been frequenting this place for a while now and have noticed that the service is really efficient when certain people are working. I'm not crazy about the aesthetics of the place; it could use a little more lighting. Otherwise, the cocktails are decent (again, it always depends on who's serving). Overall, I recommend it, also because the prices are very fair, in fact, perhaps even too low compared to other places in the square.
Beautiful bar
Despite all the bad reviews, we had a lovely time there. It's not the chic, shady spot on the other side of the square. However, you can find a place for an aperitif there, and the prices are significantly lower than on the other side. The Campari Spritz had a lot of Campari and (as requested) very little ice. The juice glasses were unusual. The accompanying snacks were adequate. We spent a relaxing time in the garden chairs until the sun disappeared. But yes, with only one server outside, service could certainly take longer with more guests.
For the first time I had the opportunity to go for an aperitif around 10:30 in the evening. Too bad the elements outside the bar were already drunk at midnight. The place is welcoming, the staff very kind, excellent prices, they have a lot of choice of aperitif.
A historic square with a cobblestone pavement, its ring road is lined with ancient porticoes of great beauty. At the center of the square stands the statue of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, and the Torre dell'Angelo, from which the Befana takes flight every year, emerges from the rooftops of the surrounding houses. The bar overlooks this picturesque square, and the bar, in my opinion, reflects the style of Count Cavour. I remember Count Cavour from my studies; a statesman and politician, he assumed diplomatic control of the enterprise of a unified state, spearheaded by General Giuseppe Garibaldi. He was a patriotic politician and an entrepreneur. In my eyes, the place reflects the Cavour spirit, through the austere decor with ebony tones and the designer of the spherical bar and marbled tables. Delicious cocktails and generous aperitifs are served with a picturesque outdoor terrace featuring wicker seating and cream-colored umbrellas that characterize and shape the square. The staff is extremely friendly, and I prefer visiting in the evenings. During the summer, the square fills up with families and children, thanks to the warm temperatures and school closures. Beautiful, worth a visit. The only downside, given the current turbulent historical period, is the lack of attention to preventing crowds. As a result of this behavior, law enforcement intervened and, in due and strict compliance with the law, carried out a justice-based enforcement operation, forcing the venue to close for a period of time.

buon aperitivo serale... affollato... bella vista di Piazza Cavour...
Nice but we were eaten by mosquitoes within 10 minutes.
Non discuto la qualità. Spritz buono così come i toast.
service not always efficient and inexperienced staff who are unable to manage customers
waiters who gamble on Saturday night, don't come to take orders
They display a sign saying coffee costs 1 euro and charge 1.50... "The price displayed starts at 1 euro," says the owner or alleged owner. Ridiculous, rude, and even threatening scammers. Stay away from this dirty, smelly place. Oh, the coffee sucks.
On Saturday, March 8th, after dinner, I went to this place for coffee. I saw with my own eyes alcohol being served to 15-year-olds. Terrible quality coffee. I didn't want to do it, but what people are saying is true.
Two herbal teas and a hot chocolate for €11. One of the herbal tea cups was dirty with bits of cookie stuck to other stains. The hot chocolate was lumpy. The waiter, without a menu, didn't even have to sit down before he was already asking us what we wanted. Uncomfortable from start to finish, we left as quickly as possible.
Bad experience, terrible service, poor quality of raw materials. €12 for two "Cuddles" with canned whipped cream, you wouldn't pay that even in the real café in Turin. An unpleasant experience, not just because of the quality of the food.
2 HOT CHOCOLATES WITH CREAM €12.00!!! Good morning, I'm from Vercelli and I haven't been to this bar in a while, and I'm deeply saddened to find it in such a dilapidated state, with a shabby renovation done with cheap materials and a tasteful decor totally inappropriate for a historic establishment in the heart of the city. But aside from that, I wanted to point out the following to the residents: We asked for 2 hot chocolates with cream and they served us: One hot chocolate made with packets of a well-known supermarket chocolate brand, which could cost around 50 cents. The cream, the supermarket spray, also cost 30 cents, as it wasn't freshly made. And now comes the "best part": 3 biscuits from a packet of homemade breakfast biscuits, also from the supermarket, not even pastries, but 3 dry milk biscuits, so to speak. I don't know, maybe 50 cents. In total, we're talking about a chocolate that if they charged 3.50, would already be way overpriced and worth a fortune... instead, it was 6 euros!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WHILE I PAYED.... I hope they made a mistake because such a price is unjustifiable. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the biscuits... In Turin, a good chocolate with artisanal cream served on the side in a cup (even the eye wants its part to justify such a price) in well-kept establishments, what less!!!!! What a disappointment!!! I'll spare the comment on the presentation and the professionalism of the staff. I think another historic bar in Vercelli is closing down. What a shame!!! I'm not a competitor, just a citizen of Vercelli who would finally like to see her city flourish as it deserves, but with shopkeepers who persist in BEHAVIORING this way towards people, and keeping prices high and quality low, in a time of crisis, it's SHAMEFUL!!! I hope this review helps. Watch out for the hot chocolate with cream! I don't think I'll go back... maybe just for a coffee at the counter.
While passing through Vercelli, I paid €6 for a hot chocolate with cream at this bar. It's a regular drink for me, usually €3.50-€4.00 at bars of this caliber and even better. It seems excessive, and on top of that, I'm paying for two non-functioning ATMs.
