Bar al Chiosco Via Alessandro Rimassa Reviews
Tutto buono! Torneremo sicuramente!!
Very good service and lovely atmosphere.
I took this 100% Genoa Covim coffee standing at the counter, delicious, exquisite, delicious, in this bar located in the Genoese district of Foce in the middle of a garden with outdoor tables overlooking the garden. In this bar you can have breakfast, lunch, aperitifs and dinner until midnight and it is always crowded and a bit noisy. The two welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly, helpful ladies and the service is very attentive, very fast and prices are good. The place is located right in the quadrilateral, just steps from Via XX Settembre, the main thoroughfare in downtown Genoa. It's cute, clean, and serves excellent aperitifs accompanied by excellent appetizers. It's great even in winter, with a nice, warm outdoor seating area. On Sundays, it's a great spot for a cappuccino in the outdoor area.
Excellent kiosk where my wife and I had breakfast on the days we stayed in a nearby hotel.
Absolutely fantastic! We spontaneously stopped for a short break. We received our ordered cocktails immediately, and on top of that, a nearly ready-made breakfast for free. That speaks volumes about the customer-oriented staff. Their English was so-so. ;) 😁
Very kind and friendly bartender, the place is clean, there is room to sit comfortably both outside and inside and the bathroom is clean. Hearing the customers of the place talking among themselves, about the typical Genoese Focaccia which is the best in the area, not knowing it, I wanted to try it too, and it is actually very good 😍 the photo does not do it justice because I practically devoured it all!!! I highly recommend it!!!
Fantastic I recommend it 👍
SUPER
Good aperitif, with sufficient side dishes
Didn't have food, but service was great.
Excellent cappuccino with soy milk, good table service, slightly pricey. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but overall, it's worth a try.
Colazione in famiglia. Onesto sui caffe’. Surgelate senza ripieno e a 2€ cad. vergogna
I stopped to watch the game, in the outdoor area (protected by plastic sheeting, in case they smoke, the air gets stale). Unpretentious, functional place. Reasonable prices. They don't recycle. I came back, this time for a good Americano 🍹 Also open after dinner.
Peggiorati... Poi mentre stavamo bevendo passano e ce li portano via mezzi pieni.... Insomma speriamo tornino i proprietari
Disgusting, a bottle of water costs 7 euros, like an aperitif. The food tastes stale, and the staff who served us this evening were rude! No comment, disgraceful!
I went because the outdoor seating was very nice, but the table service was embarrassingly slow and inaccurate. Aside from the delicious croissants, if they're fresh, don't order anything. I ordered a cake made of old cardboard and had a stomach ache after half an hour.
I went on Sunday evening for an aperitif and to watch the Inter-Juventus match. I ordered an Americano and specifically asked for very little ice. What I got was basically a granita. The accompanying food was poor quality, limited choice, and barely warm. It was packed with rude people swearing and shouting. It was an experience I'll never repeat.
My partner and I went to this bar this afternoon and ordered an estathe and a small draft beer. When I was served my beer, I asked if I could have some appetizers, and they brought me a platter with three slices of coppa, three slices of salami, two small pieces of pizza, two slices of cheese focaccia, two slices of chard tart, and three slices of cheese toast... some olives and chips. We went to pay and were given a bill of 14 euros!!! Perplexed, we were told the small plate was for two people. Without saying anything, we paid, but I don't think we'll ever set foot in there again. Who said my partner wanted a small plate? Well, I'd like to remind these kind and honest gentlemen that until a few months ago they were complaining about the closure due to the coronavirus, and now they treat customers like they were passers-by without understanding the meaning of the words.
I'm amazed a place like this exists. The outside is incredibly dirty, covered in leaves, and the tables are tiny. Let's talk about the service: awful. We asked for an aperitif, and at 7 PM they had no more canapés or sandwiches. They casually brought some chips and olives. I wonder, do these people make a living from their work or not? I don't think so, otherwise they'd keep the place clean (cleaning the outside where the tables are located is their responsibility), be polite to their customers, and offer the bare minimum expected from two aperitifs, at least an assortment of two or three items. Customers shouldn't be the ones to ask or suggest anything. You're a disgrace!
The waitress was rude to the max, her cappuccino was cold and the coffee undrinkable. When I asked for a re-made cappuccino, preferably hot, the nice waitress snatched it from me, spilling part of it on me. She obviously didn't apologize, and with a huff, she re-made it, hot but without foam. When it came time to pay (€10.20), she refused to change my €50, forcing me to pay by debit card, because at 8:30 in the morning I couldn't take away her entire cash. I'm shocked, to say the least. I don't understand how people like that can work so close to the public. It's a shame because I had fond memories of the place. I worked nearby for many years and went there every day, and I've never encountered such rude people. A terrible experience. I don't think I'll ever set foot in there again, unless I tell the owner what happened.
