88 Bar Via Antonio Gramsci Reviews
Hey, enjoying the clubs first day for brunch. Come for the drinks, food and piano bar.
Incredible spot for a fun night out with friends. Quality musicians, great bar, and overall fabulous staff. They really take care of you here. You will not regret going out to the 88 club!
The 88 Club is one of my favorite places in Boston. The atmosphere and entertainment is second to none, and the staff is welcoming, professional and kind. Whether popping in for a quick drink and sing, or planning an event I would highly recommend.
This is the BEST PLACE EVER. I like to party but usual clubs are not my scene but THIS CLUB IS. It's a piano bar and my girl Aria on the piano was AMAZING - I am in awe of her singing and playing and her stamina. The crowd is very mixed which gives you a good mix of bangers across the decades. I loved the energy and all the partiers having a grand old time, even the servers appeared to be having fun. The food is also so much better than I expected!!! Make sure to ask for the Kings menu because they will not automatically bring it to you. The drinks were fun and the short rib grilled cheese was sooooo good. I will definitely be coming back. New favorite place in Boston.
I truly can’t say enough good things about our experience at The 88 Club last weekend. My mom and I went to celebrate the end of her cancer treatment and we had the time of our lives!!! From the moment we entered the space, which is decorated from floor to ceiling with festive decor, we felt super welcomed. Our reserved table was ready (a booth by the piano) and the second we sat down, we received foam sticks, popcorn, and a welcome champagne from the manager. We were there for three hours and fully enjoyed the experience. EVERY member of the staff was amazing, the drinks were yummy (and affordable), the food was delicious, and the ambiance couldn’t be beat. I highly recommend this for celebrations, birthdays, dinners, work events, and date nights. Thank you for making our night on the town so special. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Boston!
A night at The 88 Club is a guaranteed good time. Amy is my favorite piano player—she brings such a good vibe, can play ANYTHING, and has a stellar voice. This is my new regular hangout spot. Definitely come check it out!
We went here in a Friday night and it was so much fun. It was a mixed age group. Some had birthdays, anniversaries. The piano player was very entertaining and played the usual piano songs and sang the latest songs. She was great. The drinks were delicious and a very reasonable price for Boston. The waitresses were also very personable and having fun. The service was great, and Maya did a great job. We can’t wait to go back
One of the best vibes in Boston lately! The pianist takes song recommendations and it's an impromptu karaoke experience 🎤 Julia, our pianist, was so funny with the best voice. I felt super safe and the unlimited popcorn was perfect for all the singing I did! Bonus tips, most of the cocktails can be made non-alcoholic if you ask!
Incredible place! We came for my sister’s birthday and the staff treated her like a queen! Neil was the piano player and not only is he a fabulous musician, he also is so funny and keeps the crowd engaged. 10/10 recommend!!
This place is SUCH A VIBE! We had Neil on the piano and had so much fun!! The drinks are great and we loved the music!! You can request songs so it’s like a giant karaoke party and Neil is so good on the piano and ad libs on the songs to make it so fun! I literally can’t recommend enough!! Will be coming back so often I think this is my new fav spot to go out!!
We came here mainly because D’s Keys closed down and this spot seemed like the next best thing, and it didn’t disappoint. While the vibe is definitely different, it’s in a great way. The atmosphere feels more refined and thoughtfully put together, from the menu to the overall aesthetics. That said, the place doesn’t take itself too seriously, there’s a cheeky neon sign near the bathrooms reminding guests not to do substances, which gave us a laugh. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the piano player was incredibly talented, blending humor with impressive musical skills. It was pretty quiet around 7:30 when we arrived, but things started to pick up nicely about an hour later. I also appreciated how it connects to Kings, it adds a fun, unique dynamic. Overall, a 5/5 experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Had an amazing time at King, The 88 Club! The ambiance was fantastic, and the drinks were on point. What really stood out was the exceptional service—Kyle was absolutely amazing. He made sure to check in with us regularly, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The piano lady was also a highlight, taking requests. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun night out!
Looking for somewhere new and intimate for date night?! Highly recommend stopping in at this new piano bar in Back Bay. My fiancé and I stopped in with friends and we were so happy we did. The classy vibe with the cozy booths was so inviting. They had killer martinis and their apps were delicious! I really enjoyed the dirty martini dip. We’ll definitely be stopping in the next time we go into Boston.
Just WOW. This new piano bar in Back Bay is everything Boston didn’t know it needed! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away—every inch of the space is stunning and every inch is Instagram story worthy. The performers were incredible. True talents on stage all night, plus so playful with the crowd, we love that. You can tell they’ve curated top-tier entertainers who know how to work a room. Service was elite—friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Felt like a VIP the entire time. Can’t wait to go back!
When we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully decorated Christmas atmosphere. Since the bar was still empty, the waiter was quick and served the drink that was on the menu. However, he never mentioned that there was a second menu with different food options. Once the place started getting busy, the service became terrible. The food we ordered never arrived, and I had to speak to the manager because it was taking too long. By that point, we were already disappointed. The musicians are excellent, but the bar really needs to retrain its staff.
Late post..... great time!!! This spot felt very familiar and that's because it took over a portion of Kings. You are greeted with fresh popcorn at your table. The drinks are delicious and cute. The live music is fun and you don't really notice the transaction from live to DJ (at least I didn't 😊). The menu options is small but you do have the option to order from the King's menu. The staff was also attentive throughout the night.
First visit. Mostly older white crowd and it felt off. A birthday guest announced "I love virgins" on the mic which was gross. Food from Dumpling Daughter was heavy and doughy. We found a second menu only after ordering. Server forgot drinks and basics so I grabbed silverware and asked other staff. The name gave me pause since 88 is also a hate symbol and that put me on edge even after I learned it refers to piano keys. A small note explaining the name would help. For the bowling alley menu maybe try adding a falafel wrap, tandoori wings, or peri peri cauliflower or something. I would come back if service tightens and the food improves. Pianist was excellent but song choice was for an older white audience. Edit: Went back and it was a different crowd. Got a pizza and a buttery pretzel and both were good. Musician was phenomenal and the crowd was much better. The service is still terrible. told me they can only give me bar napkins then ran away from the table before I could ask for silverware. Only got 2 drinks all night because the waiter wasn't coming over. Weird.
