Every time we pass through Valtellina, a stop at Osteria al Sole is a must. The restaurant is welcoming, quaint, and well-maintained, and during the warmer months, you can also enjoy the outdoor terrace. The charming owner explains the simple menu: local cured meats, so fresh they melt in your mouth, sciatt on a bed of chicory, and the signature dish, pizzoccheri, which are so good that, despite the filling portions, it's impossible not to ask for seconds. Even the desserts are artisanal and made fresh. Without a doubt, this is the best pizzoccheri in Valtellina!

Locale tipico e genuino, non vicinissimo alla strada principale, si deve salire. Limitata la scelta qui si mangiano affettati, sciatt e pizzoccheri che sono al top, tutto buonissimo! Ambiente confortevole e informale, servizio senza pretese ma così deve essere è un'osteria dalll'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Unica pecca l'insalata già condita compresa di aceto, non il massimo se si preferisce senza.

Ristorante cucina tipica valtellinese. Ricco antipasto di soli salumi (bresaola coppa pancetta salame) accompagnati da insalata e sciat a volontà. Poi pizzoccheri con bis. Buono il pane, servito a fette, di vari tipi e buono anche il vino sfuso, leggero e adatto all'intensità di sapore del cibo. Varia l'offerta di dolci, io ho provato torta di segale con marmellata di mirtilli che sapeva intensamente di nocciola e l'ho trovata davvero buona! Caffè e amari: 25eu a testa! Ottimo! Gradevole il locale, a conduzione famigliare quindi alla buona, ma niente da eccepire. Bello il borgo in cui si trova, fra i vigneti sulla pendice della montagna: quiete e panorama rilassante!

Ristorante con prodotti tipici delle Valtellina, dalla bresaola di antipasto (accompagnata da coppa e salame), agli Sciatt e ai classici pizzoccheri. Porzioni abbondanti e se volete esagerare il maitre passa per un bis. Locale minimale con un'ampia terrazza e prezzi adeguati.

This restaurant is accessible after a short stretch of narrow road. It's a charming spot with a view of the valley. The stone building is beautiful. The atmosphere is welcoming. We stopped by for lunch, and the menu was clear from the moment we made our phone reservation: pizzoccheri and sciatt! Perfect, no problem, we're on our way! Everything was delicious and well-received.

If you are up for "Sciatt and Pizzocher", this is without the question the place to come to. They are excellent. People come just for those dishes, and they come from miles. The place is unfussy, spa…

Allora. Ambiente assolutamente confortevole e staff gentile e attento alle esigenze del cliente. Direi un buon affettato misto, nelle norma come in altri ristoranti tipici valtellinesi. Una sorpresa gli sciatt, piccoli ma veramente gustosi e ben cucinati. Complimenti. Arriviamo ai pizzocheri. Da valtellinese mi sarei aspettato un qualcosina di più. Comunque il pizzochero fatto a mano da Valtellinesi DOC non può che ricevere una recensione positiva, sebbene non mi senta di dare un voto sopra il 7. Un delicato sorbetto al Braulio è proprio quel che ci voleva. Consigliato: sì. Prima scelta come ristorante tipico valtellinese: dipende. Comunque un bel sette in pagella se lo merita. 👍👍👍👍

I went because a local recommended it as a restaurant that makes the best pizzoccheri in the world. Unfortunately, the pizzoccheri weren't good at all, and didn't even match the photos. The pizzoccheri, on the other hand, were clearly long-prepared and reheated; it was a solid lump of parmesan, too greasy, soaked in oil, and tasteless. Even the cake, although homemade, had clearly been frozen and then thawed. The staff, however, was very kind and professional. Very nice location.

Good food and service for the price. However, there is some space for improvement. From being more selective when picking the ingredients for the traditional recipes to smiling more when welcoming new customers. For example, instead of saying with an uncompromising tone "We only have A and B!", you can nicely say "We proud ourselves in offering A and B :-)". Same message, much more positive customer experience.

I'll start by saying I don't like giving negative reviews, but I think it's only right to share our experience. Let's start with the appetizers: the cold cuts were good, though nothing special, and the sciatt were extremely greasy, just like the pizzoccheri, which tasted only of garlic. The coffee wasn't bad, but the cakes were very dry, and the Braulio sorbet... it didn't taste like Braulio! The bathrooms were unfortunately dirty, and one of them didn't even have a lock. The positive side? The waiters were kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. There may have been some changes over the years, but the food used to be really good!
