Trattoria Ausiliatrice Via Brindisi Reviews
Great food, service and very local experience.
We were at a restaurant with my family, really wanting something non-touristy, and we found just the place! We felt like we were visiting a favorite Italian aunt rather than a trattoria. We got what we were looking for: local flavor coupled with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere! We especially wanted to mention the dessert. We've never had such delicious profiteroles! If I'm ever in Turin again, I'll definitely stop by this trattoria!
We had lunch today in this retro style restaurant and we were thrilled. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, also thanks to the excellent managers who made us feel immediately at ease. We chose the fixed menu, at a very modest price, and we had the opportunity to taste various dishes, all prepared as in the home kitchen. The sauces were fresh, flavorful and authentic — a real rarity these days. In particular, the Bolognese ragù was the dish that impressed us the most: rich, tasty, just as it should be. The service was quick but never rushed, and overall we had a great time both in terms of the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We can't wait to return: it is a perfect place for any occasion, which combines tradition, taste and a truly genuine welcome.
After several weeks of traveling in Italy, and fine dining even in places like Venice and Rome, I found that the service here was the best I have seen so far! The staff treated me and my group like we were family, and were happy and smiling, eager to communicate in spite of the language barrier. The food was of excellent quality, and the restaurant was quiet and accommodating for a peaceful evening. I hope to come back here some day, even though I live in the States!
The best restaurant we ate at in two weeks of traveling all over Italy. The most incredible food, we had a party of 8 and shared dishes and every single one was amazing. The family that operates this restaurant is great, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Real authentic everything: food, service, ambiance. Like you can read in the review before, it’s like eating at your Italian grandma’s place. Amazing! Loveliest people, great food. Great services. They loved our dog as well. And the desserts….delicious!! We’ll be back.
Best place
Trattoria Ausiliatrice offers a very classic and familiar atmosphere. It's sure to please, but if you're looking for an intimate place where you can be welcomed like you're at home for dinner with family, this is the perfect place. The fish is delicious, the pasta was incredibly tasty, cooked to perfection and seasoned with a wonderful balance. The appetizer was very good, and the menu overall was extensive but not overwhelming. Highly recommended!
Cosy trattoria. You cannot expect a high brow experience, rather an informal place. They serve only fresh food and their suggestions are delicious. Rather large portions
Super
A trattoria just as you'd wish for. Even Germans are treated kindly. There's a German menu. The food is of very high quality, especially the fish dishes. I've never eaten such tender squid. Best of all, even for novices, the fish is prepared perfectly. Ready to eat. The owner is also helpful with the selection. Her grandmother helps out too. Apart from us, only locals were sitting at the other tables. That alone is enough of a seal of approval in this city.
Just back from here about 5m, and still in a very warm and very happy glow from excellent food, and great atmosphere. My wife, my son, and I enjoyed the very smallest sample, but the main meals were a delight, and will be re-tried. The desserts / dolci were simply too good. Would that our kid was old enough to self entertain, as I would like to sit now for an hour and meditate on the food as I digest it. Would definitely recommend the clams and mussels, and both my wife and child raved about the spaghetti bolognese - a simple dish, but done to perfection. The service was discreet without being invisible, and we were grateful for their good advice, and their adeptness with our kid. For those of you, who like us, are used to signalling to get the check, it is a place where you go to the counter to pay. Will have to sample this trattoria again.
This is a lovely family run restaurant - a neighborhood gem. We visited in November of 2019, and on our last night wanted to eat near the hotel, and eat something different. The proprietress took the time to show me the fresh seafood - Mediterranean langoustine. And it was fresh! Still wriggling in the refrigerated case, along with large prawns and other delights. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit in the brightly lit restaurant. It's comfort food - big portions and heart-warming. Save room for dessert - the mille-feuille is delicious, profiteroles satisfying - all with huge portions! The best was just feeling like you were at home.
Fresh fish and meat food. Naples style.
Storica trattoria vicina alla Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice. Mi dispiace dover recensire abbassando di molto la valutazione ma l’assenza di conto e di scontrino oltre ad un conto decisamente troppo …
Good food and wine. However, they charged us for five full menus despite only ordering three full courses, two first courses, and three coffees. So, it ended up being too expensive. A shame.
